I have the same exact bike w/ a ackropovic exhaust!!! Awesome bike. Put a power commander & turbo kit on it & NO ONE will believe it's a 600cc. I did & I kick my brothers ass all over the race track! He has a Gxsr 1000..... Lol

@Scoff21 that is just a slip on, @abiic07 the strips came in 2 separate pieces and were cut to length, very easy to put on. @Olympian085 the canister is just the "muffler" that is part of the slip on, it completely gets rid of the cat converter

@xXwarstuserXx Dont be stupid, learn on something slow and easy to control. The less expensive the better because chances are you will drop it a few times. Then move up as you get better. Dont be one of those squids who start out on a 1000cc bike and flip it their first day. Good luck and ride safe!

@BigBens06 If you notice, you hear the lag between revs coming down to idle. This is a sign you need a new mapping. So yes. You need a power commander. Whoever told you that you don't need to remap after switching out from stock exhaust, is a complete moron. There is NO exhaust that has the same exact spec mappings, as factory. Period.

Personally, I really dont like Yoshimura. No matter what slip-on they make, They are all just too quiet and stock sounding for me let alone way to expensive for something that sounds stock. I Love the Jardine GP1 It has its own unique and crisp sound for a price that cannot be beatin!

I bought one myself for my 07GSXR 600. Great price however I also have a power commander as well and cannot get the program for the Jardine exhaust with baffle. Without the baffle it is to loud and kills the compression for low end torque and also some backfire issues.

Which commander are you using? What map are you running? Sounds like a series of common issues. I'm assuming it's a full exhaust, right? Also, are you using a higher flowing filter?

Running no Power Commander...the only time it backfires is when you redline 1st gear and then just let off the gas...Sounds like a nuclear bomb went off on the right side of your bike but its sweet! lol

Ive had the jardine for about a summer and a couple weeks this winter, Everything is holding up just fine, Jardine for the 2007 GSXR 600/750 has got to be the best buy for your money, its the cheapest can and it has the best sound, Definitely a head turner at your local bike nights!

BigBen --- I must say that is arguable. My personal opinion would opt for the Yoshimura set up. Otherwise, I've heard great things about Arrow --- which makes sense considering the K8 GSXR literbikes come with Arrow slip-ons, straight from Suzuki.

Your right, Yoshimura is a great set-up for the k6-k8 GSXRS but its just too damn expensive. Who wants to pay 500 dollars plus for a can that sounds so similar to stock that the only way you can tell its aftermarket is by physically looking at it.
