  • I wish I lived in the day and age where the famous musicians were ones with actual talent.

  • Hey guys, last I checked there wasn't an age restriction on music, and to those who whine about people posting their age... Your just mad because you're not as young as us.

  • Alright, nobody cares how old you, its great music you should like it, its classic and way better then modern music it doesn't matter your age you can like any music...

  • im a 14 year old girl who knows what music truly is.

i LOVE him, Elton John, and Barry White.

  • I`m 16 and I just love him songs !

  • @MaryusicaZ and? iM 16 XD hurr durr

  • 4 people have an IQ of 4.

  • I love Frank, but I personally prefer Billie Holiday's rendition of this song.

  • @tranvianh I personally think Nina Simone's rendition is the best of the 3 :D

Check it out , it's awesome.

  • @tranvianh

I agree. Love Frank...but I prefer Billie's rendition of this song as well.

  • What a Wonderful crooner!!

  • for some reason this song would sound great in a fallout game

  • @reachfanatic1234 true! I love listening to those 50's jazz/lounge songes while I'm killing zombies!

  • @yoursatan

Are you referring to Nazi Zombies?...I love to listen to 40-50s jazz/lounge type songs, while shooting at zombies...it's so awesome! lol

  • This version is really good, but I think sammy put alot more feel in his version of this song. No disrespect to Ol' Blue Eyes.

  • Real music. Its sad that as yrs went by are 'music' is the garbage it is now. I wish I could go back and experience that music

  • Wow, this dude explained my love life on one 2 minute song.

    Love Sinatra! :D

  • @AcesVideos132 You said exactly what I was going to say.

  • Talent ,,, Class yes

  • This is probably My Faviorte one of his songs at the very least it is the best one of his quite songs The best is yet to come is the only better one i could think of

  • I love this version - recorded for his "Perfectly Frank" radio show and untypically featuring only 4 or 5 musicians - broadcast on 22nd June 1954.

  • it's hard for me to separate Frank's voice quality from late Columbia(this, maybe radio Hit Parade) & early Capitol. The difference might be his new arrangers Nelson Riddle,Bily May, & Gordon Jenkins. Certainly his voice is typically in its prime from ~ 1955 to 1965 or about age 40 to 50.His comeback was at the right time vocally.

  • This, is Music.

  • 2 People arent from JERSEY!

  • Lovely music such a pleasure to listen to this version by Frank Sinatra.

    Thanks for posting.

  • whenever Frank wanted to acknowledge songwriter in concert but didn't really know who, he would say johny mercer. this i believe is Harold arlen & poss. J. Mercr.e.g. he once said Don't worry bout me was mercer when it's ted koehler. he corrected himself @ a later concert.

  • A great singer singing one of the great standards from yesteryear. I first heard

this sung by Doris Day - from the film of the same name about the singer Ruth

    Etting...my own favourite version.

To the contributor who thinks age matters on Youtube, what age do you have to be?

Just remember that the best songs and the best singers arrived way back! And

they will still be heard and admired when YOU reach 61 - if you are that lucky.

  • Haaa.I love this stage Frank was going through. He still sound like young Frank but you can definitely hear that he's using his signature voice. Thanks for posting.I've never heard this song before.Sweet...Enes

  • Ik wist niet dat Old Blue Eyes hier ook een versie van had. Ik kende enkel die van Nina Simone, welke niet te overtreffen is, ook niet door Frank Sinatra. Mee eens?

  • soooo cool - I have so much respect for this sound, makes a change from my atonal abstractions I like the CD All the Way, it is more live and jazzy, a bit harder, even a bit beat nick, somehow - remainds me of the film The Godfather when the Family is off to Vegas - and you think you have gangsters today??

  • why ru on youtube if ur 61?

  • @yogingersrmadwak Please, why ru on youtube? Like it or not, with everyday, YOU are getting older.Somehow, I think it will be harder on you.

  • The Sammy Davis Jr version still tops the lot I'm afraid!

  • why the heck is everyone stating their age? it dosn't make you special if your young and like this music.. your the same as everyone else..

  • @XxD3ADxTR33xX people are putting there age because it shows that younger kids enjoy the classics to. for example im 15 and i like listening to this instead of whats in the radio now.. its a sign of respect

  • @thevinniesir im 14 haha, im a jazz musician and respect all music except for pop which usualy isnt much than tecno beats. just it seems weird statin your age and all, but idk,

  • @thevinniesir Good for you! I'm 61 and I was raised on this music. My musical tastes are very varied and I'm glad to hear that there are young people like you who are dissatisfied with today's music and who appreciate the old recordings. Seems like today it's all about being slick, loud, and gay. And everyone wants to be a star whether or not they have talent. It's amazing the kind of acts that get on the talent shows!

  • This song is so tight , that I might not be able to get in and i'm sure my shrink will spin

  • Big Time Fan of Mr Sinatra!!!

    beeuuthifuull !!!!

  • @SymphonyofSorrow Who cares about your age man. Good music is good music. Knowing that should have nothing to do with your age.

Just with you level of class ;)

  • Im 14 and i hate when douchebags say how old they are and say how hes great, so listen to the music and go brag to someone else you tools

  • @UN360CLAN

    Quite right!

  • which album is this version from? I want to download it!!

  • lol in the 60's you had frankie dean martin sammy, and in 2009 they do a cover of we are the world with lil wayne justin beiber and t pain in it, im not a huuuge fan of my generation

  • Frank i choose to love you! lol gotta luv The Voice :)

  • The style master,

    Singing god

    I'm 16 and i love Frank...

    He's the best

  • I'm 15 and hes my favourite singer and absolute hero! <3

  • thats michael buble

  • i love the oldies :)

new music is all about trying too hard. they've lost the love for it.

  • @leviathan382 I AGREE ALL NEW SONGS ARE ABOUT CLUBS DRUGS SEX ONE NIGHT STANDS BOOTY ALCHOHOL GETTING DRUNK EVERYTHING U NAME IT, SOME SONGS ARENT EVEN ABOUT ANYTHING THEY HAVE NO MEANING. JUST A FAIRLY GOOD BEAT THATS ALL

  • This is actually not originally done by Frank or Nina Simone, it comes from Ruth Etting in the 20's. Which is the greatest version in my opinion. Yes Nina's is different, but am sure it is inspired by Ruth's version.

  • Nina Simone's version is a very fine one, but I also very much like this rendition by Frank - with a small jazz group for a change. It has a groovy freshness that is quite appealing.

  • wow this song is awesome i can relate to it sadly

  • i prefer nina simone's version

  • very much so. Can he sing that song any chirpier? You just don't believe him a single word of what he is singing. I think he gets the mood of the song entirely wrong. In Simone's version there is an undertone of genuine despair.

  • Absolutely lovely!

  • Not bad! great arrangement, love it.

  • I want your love but I don't wanna borrow to have it today and to give back tomorrow my love is your love there's no love for nobody else

  • I can't get enough of him! :)

  • @rjoyo1 thats what she said.

  • This is such a great song, creative and unique melody and sentiments that will remain relevant for every generation. One of my favourites for sure!

  • Judie, wonderfuk song of Sinatra.

    Thanks for send it me.

  • truer words have never been sung...

  • No one quite sings it like Frank!!

  • man, I haven't heard this one for ages. Thanks for posting.

  • Frank Frank Frank... One of the best entertainers of our times and the times before and after ours.... He has such a wonderful tone to his voice

  • Con este tipo de música sí que se disfruta relajada y tranquila. Muy buena versión.

  • frank sinatra is the best

  • GRANDE!

  • probably my fav song :)

  • Quièn como èl...

  • it's so laconic

  • massaaaa

  • excellent!!

  • thanks for posting. It's funny that I'm 39 and thinking of how nice it is to hear this recording - haven't heard it in years.

  • This is amazing. I just have to keep clicking replay!

  • Who was the original song written by?

  • Gus Kahn in the 1920s

  • ~ Nina Simone

  • Killer, I love it!

I Love the Harry Connick live one on You Tube too

  • this version is nice but I like the billy holiday version the best

  • Frank is actually singing the original melody, as it was written. Nina changed it quite a bit, and IMO her version is an improvement. But who could not love this?

    Thanks for posting!

  • Amazing

  • nina simone's version is beter

  • Nina Simone's version is different I like both :D

  • it's so catchy, i lvoe the piano!
