'Quantum Of Solace' Movie Review - New York Post

After Casino Royale's extra gangsterness, I was really disappointed with this one.

I liked how they stripped Bond down to the bare essentials in CR, similar to Batman Begins. With no camp or over the top 80's crap. They could have called this any thing and it wouldn't have changed anything. The only thing Bond about it was his name.

Bond always reflected the times. The 60’s Bond was a hard nose detective that did shoot first and ask questions later. The 70’s Bond was a kinder Bond that asked questions then dropped them off a building. The 80’s Bond was a hard nose detective that limited himself to two women a movie. The 90's Bond was larger than life but had a soft core to him. The new Bond is what Bond must have been like before he learned not to take the job too personal. The next should be like Connery’s Bond. A full 180

QofS is the WORST bond movie in history. Has nothing to do with james bond. since when does Bond shoot first and ask wuestions later?

This film has to be by far the worst Bond (if I can call it that) film of all time. The entire mess is an insult to the previous films and anyone involved with the making of it needs a slap across the chops.

Bond was an institution which I considered myself a fan for nearly 30 years. No longer. Daniel 'Boring' Craig has murdered everything that was fun and exciting about going to see a James Bond picture. They need to re-think the structure once again....first get a new 007!

in my opinion, this was one of the top 5 bond movies of all time. i couldnt stand the later brosnan films, with their CGI ice palace, car, hovercraft chase, and airplane fights. just waaaaaay to cheap and fake

in my opinion it sucked,the story was incomprehensibly told,characters are not developed,and all of the action scenes are uninspired and horribly shot.

The only positive point in the film is Daniel Craig's performance

this is probably not a bond film that will end up being a classic because the story was ok.. actions scenes reminiscent to Bourne Ultimatum and didn't really work too many cuts and way to fast paced... character development was not really there with bond girl and bond himself and lack of love scenes... and no Q again....... so no gadgets.. Bond is more to the point and willing to kill anyone without hesitation is the best I can say for this film... 3 out of 5 stars for this film

the action was too fast and choppy, the camera is shaky and the plot is bad. Ok action movie, not a good bond movie.

I get the impression that the Bond movies are totally different now. Aside from the new, blonde, cold and non-inspiring Bond actor, they seem to have taken a very serious, realistic bent. Am I right? I enjoyed the old style, doubt I'd enjoy the new ones.

this just wasn't a bond movie. no cool gadgets, cars that shoot out rockets, or a real main bad guy with at least some scare on his face. it was basically daniel craig killing and taking names for 2 hours. I miss pierce.

Sorry, that was a bad review coming from a professional critic on the payroll of NY post. All the critic did was describe the plot of the movie and show a few scenes from the trailer. Although I didn't care much for the flak other critics gave to the film, this critic should've went a little more in depth and listed some reasons why he thought the film was good.

this movie was terrible. Story, Plot and the Director WAS TERRIBLE!! the direction was goofy, i can't understand why people want a bruce Willis and not a bond character.... this isnt bond!
