What Makes the Bible So Different?

Wait, I didn't do my math right when I said the Bible was composed over 500 years. It's composition probably started in the seventh century BCE and ended around the second century CE. About 800-900 years.

The Bible isn’t a book. It’s a small library of several works that theologians selected for canonization from among competing works and versions, then proselytizers promoted it with unparalleled zeal. It wasn’t composed over 1,000 years, but more likely over about 500. It has no contradictions if one makes that assumption and reads it accordingly. However, even ardent Christian Biblicists strongly disagree over what it says about basic questions, such as the Calvinism v. Arminianism dispute.

So true, i don't understand why. But I would disagree for them beign in school thouhg, it offends the first amendment of the constitution, imagine people feeding you the Koran just because they think its the correct book?

With all due respect, the Bible should be admired and seen for its greatness, but it shouldn't be in school, unless its a private school.
