  • Why does sea foam do this?

  • Had a guy overfill a corvette LS3 with engine oil and it looked exactly like this lol

  • thats a hot vette!

  • wha does seafoam do

  • @MrDOA313

Removes carbon and grime build up. Supposed to increase throttle response and smoother idle.

  • 💩wow my car does that and i dont use seafoam haha thats how awesome mine is

  • That junk ruined my O2 sensor, cost me

  • @MeOnYT This is why you temporarily remove your O2 before seafoam, and change oil and sparks after....

  • No one is ever going to buy that car now.... engine is ruined.

  • @mannen782 don't post if you don't know what you're talkin about...i'm just sayin

  • good product for clean carbon deposit!!

  • yea like he said. in simpler terms. a supercharger uses power to make power, a turbo on the other hands spools. only bad thing is turbo lag

  • @MrAirsoft408 Turbos still require power to spin the hot turbine to give power to the cold turbine (compressor). It is just done differently, supercharger runs off pulleys, turbo off exhaust gasses. Both have their ups and downs. I vote turbos every time the way they work is just so much more interesting :)

  • na opale smiga! dym jak z jelcza!

  • JUNK!!!

  • And that son,is how clouds are made

  • dont try to do straight sea foam in a motorcycle, youll wreck your plugs. i know from trying it.

  • my friends told me about this stuff...is this thing really works??

  • seafoam brought my yamaha fzr600 back to life as if I had taken the carbs apart and cleaned them manually. When I took them apart about 3 months after using seafoam in 2 tanks of gas, the jets and needles were bright and shiny and completely clean.

  • Car sounds good.

  • so does it really make a difference when you use this? I've always been a little skeptical bout these kind of products.

  • Makes more noise then it has power !

  • Hey guys! First of all, nice car:) I would like to ask/know if seafoam really works at all, what is the benefit, when to use it? I would like to try it in my wife's Mazda Milennia S. It has over 100.000miles on it and just had timing belt etc changed. You guys think it would be good for the car or not at all? Thanks all!

  • @Draslay31 definitely. Just follow the instructions. If you have any doubts... just do a

seafoam search here on youtube. Every kind of car imaginable. My 2001 Isuzu Hooptie... er.. I mean Rodeo... with 145k miles on it got better throttle response, lowered the ticking noise from the engine, and better gas mileage to boot! I used half can in gas, 1/4 can in PCV valve, and 1/4 can in the crank case...

  • is dat 2 stroke

  • Why does everyone like seeing smoke ? there is no compelling evidence that this stuff works. I bet you all would have bought snake oil in the 1800s. Even if there is a 1% chance that it does anything good, what is the point of watching smoke ? I'm bewildered.

  • What does seafoam do becides make smoke and youtube videos? Does it have any positive effect on a car, or is everyone just guessing it does?

  • @LS6Z28 it cleans all the carbon build up in the engine

  • to to the seafoam website and it tells you everything there

  • @kal1fornia nice, please post before a before and after video of the cumbustion chamber of your head, I'll like to see how much of a difference it makes

  • @LS6Z28 ok that's a little extreme

bottom line is that if your car runs like shit, you might as well seafoam it because it probably won't screw it up even worse

  • @bkboy747 How do you know? Nobody knows, read the MSDS on Seafoam, by law a MSDS must be available, its just mineral spirits. Everyone knows you dip old carbon caked pitons in mineral spirits, it take hours for mineral spirits to cut carbon. I see videos here of idiots pouring this crap in their engines and not one has a before and after picture of a cumbustion chamber, they just assume. Any petrolium based product could foul plugs and O2 sensors, so yes, you can probably screw it up worse

  • @LS6Z28 lol i'm not going to take apart my engine after i do it, i'm just saying what the website claims. sorry broski but that would be a cool comparison

  • Sweet Car.

  • you will riun engine doing that,,,,,,,i have 2 parked because of seafoam

  • guess what..that means it gets shitty amounts of carbon buildup.

  • love this stuff just never put it in your tank our your oil its not a lubricant like 5w30 oil or what not and if u want to put anything in your tank just use a bottle of lucas injector cleaner and top end lubricant, just put this in your brake booster and throttle body that's good enough if u do it in the oil and tank u have to change your oil replace the plugs and then fuel filter and if that stuff is up to date your wasting money

  • that's bad-ass...your neighbors must love you

  • the 8 people who disliked this prefer watching a Ford get seafomed.

  • Killing mosquitos free of charge!

  • @ArniepII haha lol

  • I'm here for the revs. ;)

  • Nice vette!! Nice tone

  • wtf corvete seafoam

  • this car lives in my neighbor hood in tampa!!!! and that bitch is fassssssst!!!!!

  • Heres the Seafoam recipe : 6.5 oz of FCW-3 2-cycle oil mixed with 6 oz of Naphtha mixed with 3.oz of 91% Isopropl Achohol . , per an online Chemist /Engineer. The quantities are per the Mfg.r Spec Sheet for Seafoam available online . Total cost for a 16oz Seafoam brew : $1.36 versus $9.00 for the store bought version. The Chemist tested it in all of his cars, motorcylces, and snowmobiles with good and safe results

  • @DaveTheyCallme You mean TCW-3 2 cycle oil. I run 1 oz of TCW-3 (synthetic due to E-10 where I live) per 5 gallons of gasoline in my car. Less expensive than Lucas UCL and has a better detergent pak.

  • @chilliwhiggerE . Correct, i hit the wrong letter button. Ive been using my HomeMade Brew now for a few weeks in various engines and its doing a great job . MUCH cheaper than store bought real Seafoam.

  • ok so i have a 99 grand am and ihas 163 thousand miles and i know the cat needs replaced would this hurt my car if i did it to it????

  • Looks like its doing a great job on the mosquitoes!

  • ruined

  • All that smoke coming out your exhaust is just the seafoam burning. Its good for cleaning out fuel systems but the problem is.... once its burned it leaves carbon in your cylinders. I was shown a demonstration by JB80 (Justice Brothers) with seafoam now I won't use it in anything. Your better off with Marvel Mystery Oil, Lucas, BG, JB, Red line, Chevron Techron.

  • my 2 year just walked up and said chevy ucky..lol

  • Appleton Blvd. Mosquito free since 2008. Lots available.

  • the best thing is using water instead i have been a mechanic for 30 years and water will clear out all the carbon and sticking valves.

  • @rednecktalkshow noooooo water is a dumb idea

  • i would rather run a few ounces of pure acetone through the gas to clean an engine.

  • I want my integra to sound like this haha. Sexy as fuck dude.

  • Please tell me thats stock.. Cause it sounds sexy as fuck! thought my G35 was sexy sounding but jesus this is sexier

  • my civic goes harder

  • it takes a lot of seafoam for 10 cylinders XP

  • @Legoman0323 10 cylinders? That's a v8.

  • @Legoman0323 Dumb ass.

  • @oliver2341 if you knew your vettes, you would know that there ARE V10 versions, go fuck yourself

  • Comment removed

  • @Legoman0323 its clearly a v8 you queer, its says LS1 dumb ass

  • @Legoman0323 wrong.

  • @homerunhita12 dumbass

  • @Legoman0323 sorry that comment was meant for @oliver2341. I know vettes, just clicked reply to the wrong person XD.

NO VETTE EVER HAD A V10. idiots.

  • @Legoman0323 if you knew your vettes, you would know that there ARE NO v10 versions, go fuck yourself

  • @Legoman0323 LMAO what do you think this is some kind of ford f250 or somthing?

  • @fitbmxseries1 fuck ya bro, i think i was high when i watched this

  • @Legoman0323 I think your just stupid, dont blame the weed. Ford is the only company to ever make a gas powered V10, just a little reminder next time you get high and spout off bull shit then not realize people are gunna make fun of your stupid ass for it. So fuck you and enjoy your night...retard.

  • @fitbmxseries1 wow man, im gettin some negativatiy from you lol i dont even care what you just said

  • @Legoman0323 if you didnt care why did you reply? twice....?

  • @fitbmxseries1 cuz ur soooo funny bro!! XDDD fuck

  • @fitbmxseries1 uhhh dodge too? look at the viper, fucktard.

  • @robobiss444 yeah theres like 10 other companies too. mybad, fuckass.

  • @fitbmxseries1 I wouldn't have been a dickhead if you weren't to the other guy. Proves we don't know it all. Do i know the other companies that do? haha fuck no. And if i thought i knew something somebody else did i wouldn't be an asshole about it.

  • @robobiss444 ha we all gotta be dickheads its youtube! we all have the same thing in common, we know very little but feel like we have to act like we know it all then shove it in the face of others when they are wrong. Personaly i find it fun. Cheers.

  • Might be the only time ive heard a vette owner rev it...

  • what the point of the smoke?

  • @expresshonor thats all the grime and stuf that was in the engine. the smoke is a good thing

  • @BlackH3art77 awesome my corolla didnt smoke

  • omg what a beautiful sound

  • do you live in walden lake?? looks a little like the paddocks

  • Does the "smoke" actually mean anything? I mean, it isn't surprising that putting a product other than gasoline into an engine may cause it to smoke. So, is it good?

  • @MrTravton that smoke is all carbon being burned off by the engine and the cats

  • you need to take care of your engine, i have a 98 ram which i bought brand new and it never smoked when i used the seafoam.

  • angry dragon

  • ahhh, the growl and grumble of an LS1. does my ears good :)

  • lol up untill @0:39 i was like wow the exhause comes out slower then i thought then all the sudden he revved it and the smoke shot out like 10 feet and i smiled and said "there it is!"

  • Lots of carbon

  • Im sick of people saying Seafoam is bad.

those people never used it i bet

seafoam dosen't destroy engines. people destory engines

  • a toy car farts a smoke, no big deal

  • CAN I DO IT A CRF50

  • @tytogononttt yes

  • how dare you seafoam a corvette....that's just crazy!!

  • @thomasvphan lolwut? it helps the car, it doesnt harm it in anyway.

  • what is seafoam?....some kind of snake oil?

  • Anyone else click this just to get a minute of someone revving a 'vette?

  • @That1jazzguy Yes! and I thought I was the only one!

  • @That1jazzguy na blowing smoke is the only time a vette looks cool.

  • The reason you see smoke is bc the carbon/engine gunk is atomized so its just going to settle, not pollute. The color changes depending on air quality, exhaust, induction type, amount of gunk build up. To those saying its water vapor? Its not... But you can run water through your intake in small amounts and its a great "steam cleaner", actually the only one that will reach cleaning carbon off the exhaust valves. Carbon is hard to clean it requires solvents and movement, so any liquid will help.

  • Seafoam in the oil I only use before oil changes although it says you can run it all the time. The naptha displaces water molecules in the oil preventing issues and loosens deposits. It will think oil slightly but not in a bad way. I run 15w40 in hi heat FL and the thinning effect is actually helpful in moving oil evenly throughout the engine. As a running additive I use Lucas products. I wouldnt use any strong detergents or additives like Seafoam if you think you have any compression issues.

  • About usage. Through the gas starts cleaning in the tank and does a great job on carb jets or injectors, but it works slowly. Use it pretty often in the tank to battle negative effects of ethanol.Directly through the vacuum line hits the intake manifold and valves alot harder and removes deposits that require a higher concentration. One does not replace the other, you need both. Induction method should be right before every oil change. Dont get creative, use it how it says too!

  • About hydroloc, it has nothing to do with water. It about liquid. Think about it, are hydraulics water? No, their oil. So yes Seafoam can Hydroloc an engine just like any other liquid unregulated in the induction system. Liquids dont compress well and can cause detonation. Seafoam wont hydroloc if its regulated. Dont allow too much in at once, dont rev the engine too high (just keep it running). Use the recommended amount slowly then kill the engine and and let the seafoam soak for 10 minutes.

  • To clear up a few things... Seafoam doesnt dry out the seals or rob the engine of oil lubrication. It actually adds lubrication to some areas oil doesnt reach. Everyone talking about drying out seals and all that your thinking of B-12 which is in a can that looks very similar. B-12 is much stronger, more abraisive, lacks lubricant, and does dry out everything. Great stuff but should only be used to clean parts off of a engine not as good of an idea to run it except in small doses.

  • Too everyone who says placebo effect. I was there when this was done. The effects after were very noticeable. Seafoam is simple naptha and pale oil. At first I thought it was a scam and the smoke was just the pale oil burning which makes sense. However I use this stuff on my motorcycle through a vacuum line just like the video. I hadnt cleaned the carb in years. After I was done I took the carb apart to put in a jet kit and I swear I could eat off the inside of the carb and the intake plenum.

  • nice vette man it sounds like a T-REX

  • its a F**KING DRAGON!

  • Badass Vette!

  • @xdybdogx

    *you're*

  • To those who thinks that crap makes a difference, two words: Placebo Effect.

  • @Trehugindrtlvr and your dumb.

  • @Trehugindrtlvr i agree Placebo Effect

  • I still laugh when I see how much smoke Seafoam treatment produces!! Sharp Vette!

  • Comment removed

  • Seafoam is ok if used properly according to directions ONLY and not too often, but YOU CAN BLOW YOUR ENGINE with Seafoam (hydraloc).

    How do I know?

    Seafoam's web site says so.

  • seafoam is safe. you would have to intentioanlly want to hydro your engine to make it happen. do you realize what seafoam to oil ratio it would take to make that happen right?. Seafoam is 100% petroleum its just very very very very thin.

  • Anybody that uses seafoam is a dumbass, that junk washes your oil from your cylinder walls and destroys your compression rings on your pistons. So no it will not help you at all. Do your self a favor and buy a head gasket kit, pull the heads and clean, polish, and remove build up that way.

  • @hondamagnaperformanc ur absolutly right... except fuel enjected vehicals dont carbon up much unless they have codes..

  • @hondamagnaperformanc Yes because everyone is a mid to high level mechanic. Besides if this stuff didnt work then why would everyone be using it after 80 years or so?

  • Run exaust out side in front of rear tire, nice car tho

  • sweet ass car

  • Sexy ass Corvette!

  • look your street woow!!! seems that you make a lot of noise there.. if I was your neighboor I would call the police unless if you invite me to watch your car that be hot!!!

  • @Baraquiel62 you sound like a dick neighbor

  • @Baraquiel62 lol and the police wouldn't do a damn thing. most noise ordnances are gear for 110db plus and that exhaust was nowhere near that.

  • @austin58x wooow! :P

  • @Baraquiel62

fucking pussy, call the cops for revving an engine? i hope you go to hell

  • @Baraquiel62 i think you have sand in your vagina,,,,

  • @TheSleepermgm sure I owns yours

  • it's not carbon it's steam.

    carbon is black.

you can do the same with water.

the white smoke is just to impress the customer and let him think a lot of shit is blowed of his engine.

the problem with white smoke is you can't see the carbon when it's blowed.(and it's far to be impressive)

Watch this video intitled "carburator drink"

btw the prius and all the cars with a catalyser do not do that : the carbon is burned in.

stop focusing on the prius it's not a devil it's just a car

  • Nice Corvette! Did you notice a big difference in performance after the Seafoam treatment?

  • @mjlogan2001 Wow what a dumbass you are. Seafoam is not a "mod" people are not like dude im going to seafoam it up and maybe I can win a race... No they do it because its running ruff or the gas milage decreased..

  • @10txram If his idle or acceleration was smoother, by definition, wouldn't that be an increase in the performance of the vehicle????? Seriously, think before you post! I know it's hard for you, but try! And learn how to spell also, and then you can be a real smart ass!

  • @mjlogan2001 learn to spell? When did I mess up? And your just a fucking dumbass, I wont get in a E fight with you. If you have something to say come say it to my face than see who has the last laugh..

  • @10txramYou can't figure out what you misspelled and I'm a dumbass???? Face to face with you would be hilarious!

  • @mjlogan2001 Haha at you fag for even bringing it down to spelling because you have nothing better.. Just go review tractors, shoot cap guns from your what 04 hummer that you got in yellow so you could be seen and yet your still making payments on it and it has over 100k miles on it.... And btw, its youtube it not a job application who cares if you make a mistake in spelling, I can guarantee you I have a lot more education than your poor ass..

  • @10txram This started with a sincere comment about a person using Seafoam to maintain their Corvette. You came in this forum with the rude and uncalled for comments, not I. But it's obvious, you are highly educated, have superior intellect, command of the English language and not to mention immense fighting skills. You are one smart bad ass!

  • @10txram It's pretty obvious you've never used Seafoam or you wouldn't have posted a comment like that. While it won't shave a second off of your 1/4 mile, every car that I've ever ran Seafoam through overall just ran better. It's an awesome product that I suggest you try before making any more comments. BTW, you can't find the words you misspelled in that paragraph and you drive a Dodge truck and this dude has a Hummer and he's poor and uneducated? LMAO!

  • @fastzr1vette Well if you knew about prices on vehicles, than you would know what the price difference is.. And wtf is up with yall and fucking spelling mistakes? who gives a flying fuck! This isnt a fucking college fucking paper now is it? I guess it may to yall because you have no dam life but youtube and the internet so you think you can exploit your knowledge(wait what knowledge?) anyways yall are just to good for me i guess.. OH AND BTW IM FUCKIN FROM TEXAS. so I can talk how i want

  • @10txram You forgot the apostrophe in y'all Tex.

  • @10txram I'm from Texas also and it's people like you that give the fine state of Texas a bad name. You've brought nothing but ignorance, profanity and homophobic hatred to this forum. Why? It's a video about somebody Seafoaming their Corvette. Do the state of Texas a favor, if you're going to continue being an idiot, move.

  • @mjlogan2001 I seafoamed my stock 1.6L Miata (I know, slow, but piss off Lol) and stock they dyno around 98bhp 118 to the crank and after seafoam it honestly felt A LOT faster and the throttle response was greatly improved I actually topped it out after I seafoamed it which is onlly 120 but hell thats fast for a go cart

  • @69bakedskater People can say what they want about Seafoam, but the stuff works! The before and after difference you felt is what most people feel after a Seafoam treatment. Overall, the car just has more pep and runs better. As you can see, a lot of people make negative comments about Seafoam. It's either because they have never used it or they're a dumbass or a combination of the both! Take care of that Miata!!

  • @69bakedskater no its not my go cart goes 120 easy and its only single cylinder at max 20 hp hahah dumb asss wka go karting rules miatas suck ass

  • @facebuttass You're stupid as fuck, you obviously don't know shit about cars if you say a Miata sucks ass, Not saying it's the fastest, or best car in the world, but it is one fun car to drive, Stock, the 1.6 are built with forged rods and 8:1 low compression pistons ready for boost. Stock, they are safe for 23 psi from a turbo or around 12 psi for a supercharger. With a reflash of your ECU, you're looking at around 400hp out of a 4 cylinder on a stock engine besides the turbo/supercharger.

  • @69bakedskater and that's why they race nothing but Miata's out in Sealy. Those cars are incredible fun to drive. They're gokarts for grown ups.

  • @69bakedskater why is the turbo allowed more psi than the supercharger....sorry new to this

  • @bergaflickal supercharger runs off a pulley on ur belt so only gets a certain amount of power, turbo uses exhaust gases to spool it up so the more you rev before take off the more psi it will push the supercharger can be made to give more power on low end or top end rpm with a quick and easy adjustment of the size of pulley

  • 2000 Pontiac Grand-Am 319,000 miles. Seafoam used twice a year.

Lets see a prius get that many miles on it. Would never happen.

  • that car is beast mode

  • carbon dioxyde is bad

  • @justme1605

    Is carbon dioxide bad eh?

Well how come human beings produce it.

  • If you want the risk of mechanical engine lock try seafoam! Your pistons just love to compress that petroleum ( seafoam ) fluid you just poored into the intake into the combustion chamber...

  • @barthoedemaker the only "hydrolock" you speak of is when water gets into the chamber......seafoam is a combustive liquid and therefore will not bother your pistons or your combustion chamber.

  • @Element7744 No it's really not, radial engines can hav a hydrolock aswell. Doesn't matter if it's combustive, your piston will compress that fluid when your turn the key, before it all get's ignited.

  • @rennagata92 im prety sure carbon emissions is what is bad for the atmosphere

  • @rennagata92 im prety sure carbon emissions is what is bad for the atmosphere

  • beautiful car man

  • How many miles did she have on her before you did the treatment? How'd she run after?

  • lmao rice eh? thats nice!

  • Your vet is fucking sick, it looks so nice

  • Shouldn't the smoke be more white? I pulled up to AutoZone in my custom Accord and the guy at AutoZone who drives a sick SVT Cobra said if I buy a case of Seafoam from him and add a lb. of white rice to my gas tank then the rice will draw out moisture in the engine and will aid in the process of breaking down the carbon. I did that and now my engine wont start.

  • @1000hpHONDA You need to add a little more rice.

  • @1000hpHONDA your an idiot hes laughing at you right now lol rice in rice lol

  • thats a 1:10 ill never get back
