Comedians say a lot of unwise things in order to be "funny" that they don't mean, and this probably is one of those things, sort of like how he was "complaining" about Tom Hanks stealing from his plate. He was just pointing out some unattractive parts of being an actor, and certainly wasn't claiming that his job was worse than those 7-day jobs, so I personally don't mind this comedic trick.
