I looked up your website online because I was so impressed with this painting. Your melty people are awesome. Very talented artist! I love watching your painting technique because it's so different from the rigid traditional way. You're very relaxed and almost "sloppy," yet it comes out wonderful and detailed. Thank you for sharing all these tip videos. Hope there will be more!!
Im kinda new to this and I am having a difficult time understanding how you get your background to look clean and blended with your object when you smear glaze all over....I am struggling with background
@agentike2 Sorry it took so long to get back to you! Before I finish the painting, I re-paint all the areas that need to be black. I have many tiny brushes so that I can get into all the tiny spaces. This actually takes quite a bit of time depending on how many strands are in the piece.
Hey, My favorite colors to use are: Titanium white Golden Barok red (OH) Alizarin crimson deep pthalo blue transparent orange or red iron oxide flesh ocher and more, at the point you see in this clip I had already painting close to 50 layers of thin paint. So the overall effect is different then if you just put these colors down in one or two layers. My under paintings are usually more vibrant, and then it get's closer to flesh tone with each layer.
Great videos, hope to see more from you!
