yer I hear that! Also Hip Hop was real before 91 as well. For me Hip Hop took a major nose dive in 1997, the rise of P Diddy and pop rap. Not to say Puffy is all to blame or pop rap wasn't around before that. But he had a major influence in bring that style to the forefront of rap.

its a newer rap now. most industry is pop-rap or crap. n e thing that's not on a major album or top 40 is decent. also w/ the digital age upon us, cameras, and more use of computers to destribute music. it's a different time for everything and information. crime is harder to do unless your in the "not so" good area. like graff, since the 80's it has changed a lot. but u dont see good shit unless your in cities.
