The Oscars dont prove anything, its a popularity contest among people in the business. Open the voting to those who finance movies, THE VIEWERS and you will get an accurate presentation of what people really think about movies. You would never ask a professional athlete to be a referee in their own sport. So why are actors, producers, directors and distributors the given same leeway when judging their own product. The Oscars are a waste of time.
I love you, Kevin Specey. It's too bad you want to quit playing in the movies but i totally understand it. You are one of the very few people not being spoiled by money and fame. Good luck with your theatre project.
