they are alright but I've heard these on splay in comet and they are rubbish for £99 the bass is weak and sound a bit harsh for what they are , my opinion anyway's

Cool. I got these too. But for some reason, when bose music gets too loud, it sort of compensates and lowers volumes that could damage the speakers. It is best to listen at mid volume and not full blast.
@lan2050 This has automatic protection that doesn't allow the built in amp to send to much power to the driver, therefore it's nearly impossible to blow the driver. Now if you remove the driver from the enclosure and hook it up to a really strong amp then yes, the drivers will be blown.
