It's kind of funny how every one looks back at the wotlk memories and say "wow died when cata came out" but when i played wotlk every one kept whining about vanilla or bc. But i can't agree more all the memories from wotlk are the best, cata was a big flop.

Remember they were both lvl 10 @ the time of the battle. Arthas has Frostmourne, illi has gul'dan's skull. At best, illi was equal to arthas, although imo a runeblade is far more lethal than a skull

Yeah, I know my comment's not going to be overly popular with the WoW fans out there, but it's been my experience that once you pay for a game, you should be allowed to play it all you want for no additional charge. And, to be honest, I can't say I see why people sing praises of this game, when it's slowly killing off arcades. Call me crazy, but that's the way I see's it.

no. Uther says that there must always be a lich king. Therefore the Scourge will always exist. Arthas is all that keeps the Scourge from destroying Azeroth, so i don't think he will die.
Actually, Arthas is a small presence in the Lich King, and he is fading. If the Lich King isn't killed (which would mean Arthas will be too), the Scourge will actually start attacking places. Also, while there msut always be a Lich King, someone can take his place. So, as long as we kill the current one, we can put a non-insane guy in his place.
See, Sargeras was corrupted by the spirit of Bolvar fordragon, but Alexstrasza still thinks there's some of the old Sargeras she was used to lovin' in there, so she wants to save him and be all <3333 with 'em, but apparently because of some lore Blizzard made up right on the spot, there must always be a Sargeras. So therefore, someone has to take up the mantle of Sargeras. Hogger offers to sacrifice himself and they let him, but surprise!
It's rather a shame that when you do the halls of reflection 5man that the soul of Uther reveals that even if you strike down the lich king, another has to take his place to keep the Scourge in check.

Simply because of it's cartoonish style the models supposed to be hard edged and It's clearly not looks like a PS1 game.I've tried a tons of new online games and I can tell you that besides the highly detailed characters those games' terrain is like in a prehistoric age compare to WoW.For example in Aion's stages are all about like :tree, bush, tree bush, tree bush as simply boring that is, and there are no such a monumental buildings, objects like in WoW even if it's hard edged.

The lich king isn't the main bad guy of the WC universe. He's ONE of them. Sargeras, if or when he is restored, is the biggest of the big baddies. Compaired to him, Arthas is a footnote within a footnote.
And while, yeah, you're right, ofc they want money, what company doesn't? I like to think that they really enjoy cranking this stuff out, too.
Isn`t Sargeras supposed to be dead ? When you`re playing the Frozen Throne campaign you find out that Sargeras died in that tomb or temple or whatever it was. Burning Legion got stomped in the Reign of Chaos campaign, so basically, the biggest badass left would be the new Lich King, namely Arthas (I still liked Ner`zhul better despite the fact that we don`t get to see too much of him)
Hence the "if or when" he's restored, yeah. Aegwynn laid the smackdown on his avatar a few years back, but his remains are still active and powerful. I highly doubt Blizzard would make ANYONE the big bad end boss guy.
Also, Kil'jaeden is alive, well, and still leading the Legion, and he's bigger than Arthas.
Also, there's Azshara in the Maelstrom, the remaining Old Gods, and Deathwing himself is coming out with the next Xpac, and he's a MUCH bigger badass than Arthas.

Actually, Blizzard never killed off Illidan. The cinamatic from warcraft 3 was poorly made in Illidans defeat(They wanted to make a cinamatic but they ran out of time). They wanted to make it so that he was injured and not dying. They said so themselves, 2 years before the Burning Crusade came out. Check your facts.

His mortal form was destroyed and he was transformed into the Lich King.

Also, the reason that WoW is so hard-edged and has such low graphics is to let players with older and slower computers run it.
I know my computer was made roughly ten years ago, and I can still play WoW (although on bare minimum settings).

Naw, we get to kill Sargeras in patch 5.3.
See, Sargeras was corrupted by the spirit of Bolvar fordragon, but Alexstrasza still thinks there's some of the old Sargeras she was used to lovin' in there, so she wants to save him and be all <3333 with 'em, but apparently because of some lore Blizzard made up right on the spot, there must always be a Sargeras. So therefore, someone has to take up the mantle of Sargeras. Hogger offers to sacrifice himself and they let him, but surprise!

In patch 6.0, Hogger goes batshit insane and blows up the world or something.
Oh, and the Horde gets evil bunnies with space lasers for eyes and the Alliance gets Pandaren.
So yeah, I hope 6.0 comes out soon!!

It's rather a shame that when you do the halls of reflection 5man that the soul of Uther reveals that even if you strike down the lich king, another has to take his place to keep the Scourge in check.

Simply because of it's cartoonish style the models supposed to be hard edged and It's clearly not looks like a PS1 game.I've tried a tons of new online games and I can tell you that besides the highly detailed characters those games' terrain is like in a prehistoric age compare to WoW.For example in Aion's stages are all about like :tree, bush, tree bush, tree bush as simply boring that is, and there are no such a monumental buildings, objects like in WoW even if it's hard edged.

The lich king isn't the main bad guy of the WC universe. He's ONE of them. Sargeras, if or when he is restored, is the biggest of the big baddies. Compaired to him, Arthas is a footnote within a footnote.
And while, yeah, you're right, ofc they want money, what company doesn't? I like to think that they really enjoy cranking this stuff out, too.

Isn`t Sargeras supposed to be dead ? When you`re playing the Frozen Throne campaign you find out that Sargeras died in that tomb or temple or whatever it was. Burning Legion got stomped in the Reign of Chaos campaign, so basically, the biggest badass left would be the new Lich King, namely Arthas (I still liked Ner`zhul better despite the fact that we don`t get to see too much of him)

Hence the "if or when" he's restored, yeah. Aegwynn laid the smackdown on his avatar a few years back, but his remains are still active and powerful. I highly doubt Blizzard would make ANYONE the big bad end boss guy.
Also, Kil'jaeden is alive, well, and still leading the Legion, and he's bigger than Arthas.
Also, there's Azshara in the Maelstrom, the remaining Old Gods, and Deathwing himself is coming out with the next Xpac, and he's a MUCH bigger badass than Arthas.

well, hate to break it to ya, but don`t even bring illidan into this discussion... he`s a weakling that doesn`t deserve to be compared to arthas, yoggsaron and the others
if i`m not mistaken, illidan shouldn`t even exist anymore, since arthas theoretically killed him, but blizz knew illidan was a lot more popular and liked character than arthas(and imo way too overrated) so they decided: hey! ya know what? screw the lore, let`s ressurect illidan!and kj`s a pussy =))

Actually, Blizzard never killed off Illidan. The cinamatic from warcraft 3 was poorly made in Illidans defeat(They wanted to make a cinamatic but they ran out of time). They wanted to make it so that he was injured and not dying. They said so themselves, 2 years before the Burning Crusade came out. Check your facts.

@xXxXxBetrayerxXxXxX well KJ created LK so i'm pretty sure he'd handle him soundly. If you really look at it from a Large Scale...LK is pretty weak when compared to the titans and demons from other worlds. I only want to see Thrall put Varian back in the arena for ol' times sake :) FTH! :D
On another note, Illidan looks way badass when he turns into his demon form :) Also the BC trailer > WOTLK trailer!

i personally liked ner`zhul a bit more, but i think that arthas merged with ner`zhul is a more powerful being than ner`zhul alone, so i don`t know how much of a weakling he is now...
if you look at WoW, KJ is a boss in a lvl 70 dungeon, whereas arthas is in lvl 80 dungeon, guess that means arthas surpassed kj in power

well I didn't say Arthas. I just said LK. LK just needed a host and Arthas, being like Varian, used terrible judgment and became his host.
Not really actually. Because Yogg Saron is in Ulduar and has lower stats than LK but in the story Yogg Saron is an old god. Gods > Undead/Mortal. And Arthas wasn't anything until he became LK's new pawn. KJ created LK so therefore KJ > LK

@xXxXxBetrayerxXxXxX illidan wasn't a weakling, he was called upon by kil'jaeden for a reason. he lost the fight with arthas because the wind caught his wings which caused him to take air. arthas saw the advantage and rended him up the middle, however it was a mere cut and not a killing blow. illidan is no weakling

@xXxXxBetrayerxXxXxX actually according to lore arthas just injured illidan and told him to never come back to northrend. and actually i believe that illidan shouldve defeated arthas cause he obtained skull of guldan, he obtained eye of sargeras and he had naga and blood elf forces on his side. arthas powers were taken by lich king and he didnt obtained anything, also before all that illidan and arthas were equally matched

@Brugar18 yeah arthas didn't have any power at all, anything he had was within frostmourne. illidan could have taken arthas, its just when arthas had his back exposed and illidan was about to strike the wind caught his wings causing him to catch flight, arthas then sliced him up the middle

@xXxXxBetrayerxXxXxX Cthun is not an old god, Yoggsaron is reffered to as a deathgod but if you actually payed attention he is just an ancient evil that was locked away by the titans a long time ago, archimonde is the leader of the burning crusade, it just sorta seems he would be a tiny bit stronger then some nooby raid boss, his strength is greater then that of the lichkings, seeing as he was the one who original tortured nerzul, creating the shard which is in arthas helmet, nerzuls soul

@masterbenjamin Sargeras is the leader of the Burning Legion (not crusade, that is the expansion.). C'thun is an old god who created the qiraji and resides within the city of Ahn'Qiraj. Kil'jaeden tricked Ner'zhul into creating a blood pact binding the orcs into the service of the Burning Legion and shortly after he opened up the portals on Draenor for new lands to take, Kil'jaeden captured him. His mortal form was destroyed and he was transformed into the Lich King.
