When will these bot buiders learn that saw blades are usually not a very effective weapon. The kill saws seem to be the only ones capable of causing serious damage.
Glad SOB won after that great display; was very lucky Battlebots didn't have the rule that Robot Wars UK had, which is if one side of the robot stops working, like SOB's right-hand wheel (IOW the robot spins on the spot but doesn't go in a straight line), the robot is counted out as immobilised.
This rule on Robot Wars UK was very annoying but was included to stop a fight from dragging on and to remain consistent with the cluster-bot rule, where if one goes the whole robot is counted out.
SOB's weapons synergy technique is similar to Robot Wars UK's house robot Dead Metal which has pincers instead and a circular saw unit that moves in slowly towards its prey to cut into armour better. Great show though; probably produces the same, if not better, results of sparks than Dead Metal

Nice sparks there. Finally a saw blade motor with enough torque. For example Ronin, his sawblade just stopped instantly once it hit another robot.

i think the saw on SOB could be a little more powerful as far as how strong the arm can dig into the other bots armor
