  • It is probably M/T Stena Primorsk... I have sailed on her.

  • Very Good!! Nice launching!!

  • Shit did anyone tie the ropes?

  • What depth of water do they launch these ships into? it always looks so shallow...

  • c|_|

  • How do they stop it?

  • jajajajajsisisisiyesyesyesyesdadadadaouiouioui

  • @RMSLusitania1 haha ,maybe you should come and learn them how to build ships.

  • @RMSLusitania1 THEY WILL IN PORT,NOW THEY NEED A SPACE FOR ANOTHER SHIP TO BE START WORKING ON PLACE WHERE THIS ONE WAS,AND SO ON AND ON.....THEY KNOW WHAT THEY DOING,THIS TANKERS ARE ONE OF THE BEST IN THE WORLD,BETTER THAN KOREAN,CHINES AND OTHER CHEEP SHIPYARDS.

  • Is that Las-Palmas?

  • @TooAwesomeForJou NO ITS SPLIT CROATIA.

  • @dylanfloyd777 OH THAT WAS IN THE INFO BAR, SRY MY BAD

  • aw bugger we forgot to finish the painting.... pull her back in boys...

  • Chuck Norris pulled it into the water..

  • This is what happens inside of your ass before the poop goes into the toilet.

  • Hi all!

How long did it take to get the ship into water and how long did it take to make it finsihed with electry, paint etc.?

And if someone know how much did the ship cost to get made.

    Thank^s all and merry christmas

  • @daniellandgrens all that cost about 12milion $

  • kako ću joj reć da varin...

  • i get the same feeling watching that ship launched as I did taking my dump this morning.

  • A ship is born...

  • Capisco....

  • @johnsenkenn i am from Split Croatia and we speak litlle Italian on our some may say wrong way,we been under Venetian 400years and we said CAPISHI or on CRO Kapiši!Peace!

  • boss comes out n says its not finished...did anyone put the bung hole plug in?????

  • the boss comes out of his office and says "nooooooo!!!.....I said its launching next week, not today. its not finished".... fires every worker.

  • almost as big as mah dick!

  • @inahdrew94 HAHA YES AS YOUR WIFE BAT!

  • going to hunt for whales again

  • I never saw a vessel so unprepared for launch. I think they were far behind the schedule, and they must have cleared the dock. They could solve the paint problems only by selective flooding of the ballast tanks in order to modify the trim and the pitch. As it is visible, the hull has a very small draft, and "playing" with the trim could be risky to the stability.

  • @ZangLangVang This are one of the best tankers in world, better than any Asian. This shipyard is in my hometown Split CRO:,EUrope! The same moment ship launch, they start building new one on the same place where launched was, because of lack of space.

  • any string to land no no shit brains

  • that's the fastest its gonna go in its life time

  • It looks like a big pot!

  • Card carrying member of the worst cameraman club.

  • wow!! cool :D that thing is huge!

  • um, I think you missed a spot near the prop.

  • Wow it floated!

  • start another one

  • I usually come here to holidays and we usually watch how the ships will getting bigger and bigger...

  • They can still dry dock it and paint it, but they build it there, doesnt mean theyd paint it. Not my choice, I dont know why they do that, but oh well

  • how do they paint the bottom now its in the water

  • No bow thruster because it would be so huge to have any effect, tugs are more efficient. No paint because it will go to dry dock for final paint and final fitting out.

  • @jamesandrew2000

The container ships - cruise ships have bow thrusters.

  • That's strange they didn't paint under the waterline.Hope they finish it.Sand blasting and painting a rusty hull a few years from now is a expensive and takes many months to finish.

  • KEWLNESS.

  • The paint is not finished was it ment to be launched lol

  • This si Split shipyard in Croatia,i worked here!

  • no bow thruster?

  • This is one of Stena bulks MR P-MAX ICE class, they were all built at this yard, Stena Provence was in Belfast for overhaul last year.

  • wow, those ankers

  • what this ship do to with it

  • can someone tell me why the painting looks a bit like not finished yet??

  • all works which has to do under the ship are finished, the rest like the electric, and also painting over the water will be done later at the dock, cause in the drydock the can beginn the next ship until finishing this first ship. sry, i am german, and my english is not the best.

  • A german with nice English is cool haha....

    Thx a lot man!!!

  • no problem.

nice englisch? i would prefer bad english :-D

  • In other words, any other work can be done after launching

  • This is the short form. yes :-D

  • @Gerrit22041992 AND HOW DOES WE SAY THAT IN SPANISH?

  • how should i know that?

    I am german...

  • Your English is better than my German!

  • You Germans are more American than some true Americans. Your English is better than average here.

  • We are sometimes mor American?

Only cause we prefer watching the SImpsons?

    Haha..

No, maybe sometimes, but not often we are American, but i like to visit America

    and also the Tornado alley.

  • @Gerrit22041992 I've heard native speakers with worse grammar.

  • @Originalsunrunner20 ;-) Thanks

  • @Gerrit22041992 well said

  • @arifmvega thank you

  • That was the engine room screen door

  • Well, they have to start on another project. So they will finish up the furnishings and paint in the harbor. That is what happens when you cut back on work-force and lag on the schedule.

  • It's more complicated than that. They might be building a long series of ships, so because of limited number of "building beds" it's better to finish the ship while it's floating.

  • they ran out of paint

  • Пиздец........

  • is it me or where parts of that rusty below the water line.

i thought they where supposed to paint it

  • Lots like a train

  • how long is that?

  • "Split shipyard" in Croatia, launching of Steana Bulk P MAX class product carrier, twin engine ship.

  • Who would dry dock a ship that size to paint it?

  • maybe there goal was to try to get flames on the front of the ship =S xD

  • It was not dry-docked. This is the launch of a newly-built ship.

  • It's still called a dry dock....Doesn't matter if it's in a shipping yard.

  • It's technically a slipway or marine railway. Building ways are almost never used for dry-docking large ships, only for ship construction.

Also, a ship is only said to be "dry-docked" if it was previously in the water. Since this one is newly built, it is said to be "on the ways".

  • oh SNAP!

    You just got told!

  • no many to complet painting loooooooooooool

  • there is so much work left inside that ship. FInishing is not yet done, They will continue working while it floats. Probably more than a year more to finished. As you can see the bridge (Pilot Deck) has no glass yet, the cranes, antenna, radar etc.

  • I hope there is a reason they didn't paint it first

  • they're from southern Europe, what did you expect? :p

No seriously, there probably is ;)

  • koliko istisnine ima ovaj tanker??

    zna netko?

  • 65 500 t

  • hvala za info!

  • WHY THEY KEEP HONKING???

  • looks like it would have been completed before sea trials

  • it floats!

  • Alal vam vera Splicani, kad pravite ovako velike brodove. Poz iz Srbije. :))

  • how many inch hull on a ship bottom to side

  • How are they going to paint under the waterline.

  • (for johnsenkenn) they moved her to a dry dock for final adjusments to the ship, then painted the hull, including under the waterline to the bottom of the ship

  • THERE IS A GAP UNDERNEATH

  • @johnsenkenn dont worry they will

  • @johnsenkenn deep sea divers ffs

  • @johnsenkenn Waterpaint

  • @johnsenkenn why do you need to paint there? noones looking

  • @demonikfunk

    Rust and friction.

  • @johnsenkenn its a dock that can raise in the water i forgot what it called thoought

  • @johnsenkenn aFTER PUTING ENGINE AND OTHER THINGS SHE IS GOING ON DRY DOCK,CAPISHI!?

  • @dylanfloyd777

    Capisco.....

  • @johnsenkenn easyyyyy..they have what they need to pain under water..man read something

  • @johnsenkenn thej don t need its made of stainles steel

  • @Maker5464

The hull ? I am sure not.

  • @kennjohnsen material cost about 12milion$ but al other stuffs cost abot 1or2milion$

  • @Maker5464

Alright, but it's not stainless steel.

  • @kennjohnsen ok

  • The ship is not finished yet that's why they didn't put the paint.

  • Or maybe they were just testing it for leaks. They could have just done what Laurel and Hardy did. Fill it with water to find the leaks!

  • that was totally sweet

  • its amazing ship yards in the UK are almost closed down but we can import as much foreign crap as you what

  • foreign crap??it is not your fault that u are so ignorant.maybe schools in UK will be almost closed soon too.this shipyard still exists only becuase it has quality.sounds unbelieveable that such a tanker is built in small town in Croatia where Wimbledon winner is born too.well, that is cost of globalization my ignorant friend.idea coming from countries like UK,so eat it!!

  • Paint the ship (? !)

  • wow thats so cool...is amazing how a huge structure of metal can float:)

  • great horn!!

  • "Oh shit! We forgot to paint it! Ok guys, pull it back up the ramp"

  • that's what i was thinking...why would they launch it before it's done?

  • I can only guess that it's a busy ship yard and they needed to start on another ship. They will send this one round to a dry dock where they can finish it.

  • lol yesi agree they probaly have the parts for the next ship sitting in the yard

  • LOL

  • dunno about the quality or the no1 bit, give me a scandinavion built ship anyday

  • Phillipines nowadays are number 1 in shipbuilding and the quality as well.

  • that must be off to the fitting dock

  • yup :)

  • See, me and you know what we are talking about lol

  • id love to work on someting like that

  • dutch people building goods ships all fineshed

  • the ship looks very crapy...is it still in construction phase

  • Just where is this taking place might be intersting to know where these ship lauchings are taking place?

  • its says in the description.... split, croatia

  • what are they saying at :55? "oh crap, how do we stop it...?"

  • Why put music over the video? So over volumed, you have to drop your speaker level down and don't hear anything else.

  • thats the ships Horn, not music. lol

  • Hell!! Is that a VLCC??

  • i'm guessing they didn't have time to finish the paint job lol?

  • paint that lop of shit

  • hahaha

  • how do they balance the ship as to it not tilting to one side?.

  • Carefully!!!

  • It's simple! Metacentric height must be positive, i.e. the point of metacentre must always be above the point of ship's gravity and that's making the stable equilibrium.

  • Comment removed

  • super ;]

  • The launch it before being painted completely above the water line, in order to free the dock, where it was built, for a new ship. Many shipyards around the world are so busy that there is a long que of ships waiting to be built.

  • The paint doesn't dissolve. It diliutes, still polluting. And bottom paint is very toxic! It is called Iron Oxide and ask anyone who has had to remove it, how toxic it is. Yes I have owned small ocean boats and yes, I have had to repaint. Topside paint is far less toxic. But this video's ship's bottom was not fully painted, and that makes me wonder why the launch? I don't think you can paint underwater yet.

  • modern ships have to be antifouled (paint on the bottom of ships) with copper based paint as there is too much pollution from the iron based. the ship wasn't fully painted but will at some stage be put into a dry dock for survey and final painting before handing over to the owners.

  • reminds me of the glory days when every ship was launched like this. As for aa209999, they can't paint it on dry land because if the paint drips, it'll make a big mess. If it drips in the water, it'll dissolve. Plus, the painters are safer painting over water because hard land=ouch, whereas water=swim away

  • serious question.. why dont they paint it when its on dry land?

  • tesko je opisat koji je gust pustit u more ovaku grdosiju....

inace radija san u skvereu...3 godide u tvornici diesel motora ^^

  • WTF Japan has to do with this video. It's Split, Dalmatija, Croatia, Balkans, EUROPE ......... nice beaches filled with awesome babes :))

  • they still do that?

  • yup, it's more dangerous for launching but it's cheaper then build a drydock

  • go go go japan

  • what happens if i stand in the way when that huge ship comes down?

  • you'd fuse to the bottom of the ship and live under water for EVER!!!

  • launch likee this insteed of the other way this way is less risky

  • lol zoom out a bit :0

  • To stop the ship, cause it would float to the mainland :)

  • shouldn't they finish painting it first?!!

  • what are they dropping at 2:35?

  • strange how a propellor so small can power a ship that huge

  • It has two props, but they are not small :)

  • That was a rush job! The painter has'nt finihed painting the ship lol!

  • Are you joking me? The ship is moving out of drydock to be fitted with all the electronics equipment and other kinds of equipment. Its not finished yet and its going to be painted before its handed over to the new shipowner. This is to make space for a new ship being built in the drydock. The ship is probably pained with three layers of coating (Shop primer , zinc and jotamastic) in this video.

  • I was only joking :-)
