I'm an anglophone Canadian whose comprehension of the French-language is not very good and i find it funny that this version has more hits than the English version.
Melissa Auf der Maur est une grande artiste. Funkle Ace aimerait la faire décoller en Europe... Tout le monde voudrait goûter à son charisme. I luv yu Melissa.
@kondurperusix Most people can speak english, but a lot of people over 50 or 40 years old have a very hard time speaking english or can't even have a discussion in that language... of course our english is not perfect but I think it's better than in a lot of other places in the world. It takes a big part in our education :).
@kondurperusix Many, yes, but I think a minority of Canadians can speak both languages fluently, especially english canadians with French. If you saw the Opening Ceremony of the Winter Games, that's the place of French in Canada. Canadians are proud to brag about having two official languages but they can't even speak both. Most of them learn the basics, but that's all. So when I see/hear people like Melissa speaking such great french and being proud of it, I'm proud of that too.
@kondurperusix Because we are well-known for our crazy winters, so we are more interested in winter sports. We have a... how can I call it? B-class like soccer league, but it's nowhere near as good as leagues in Europe. Soccer gained popularity just a few years ago. Now it's pretty popular and, at least in MTL, people love their B-class team :P!! Why all this interest in Canada :P?
@fableofdream Really great coment, i use a translator just to see if the song says the same thing in french that in english. I love to learn french, is a really unique lenguage. Sorry for my spanglish, cheers from Argentina. xMAdMx for ever
Thank God she put Hole behind her. I always give respect to those who can sing their songs in two languages and still make them equally beautiful. Bravo!
