  • It is so hard for me to believe that it was possible to get through those severe handicaps she had. It tells me, that the human brain is far more powerful than we think at gaining understanding.

  • do you know why helen keller cant drive good

    because shes a woman

    (shot by feminsinsts)

  • thx this helped for school awesome

  • ITSS MILLY!

  • For you guys who think this is funny

    WHY?

There should be no one laughing about Helen Keller. She is lucky that she could see hear and learn from Anne Sullivan because if she couldn't her life would be dark. If you are still laughing it could still happen to you.

So be grateful that you could see hear and speak because it could have happened to any of us you know.

  • Helen Keller was really famous and very special she graduated from collage

  • Please what is this beautiful melody called?!?!?

    R.I.P Helen Keller

  • Beautiful video! Helen was an inspiration to so any people. The only thing I wonder about is why isn't Anne Sullivan mentioned here-at least once. Anne was the one who brought Helen out of the darkness and silence with spelling into her hand.

  • ~Once I knew only darkness and stillness... my life was without past or future... but a little word from the fingers of another fell into my hand that clutched at emptiness, and my heart leaped to the rapture of living.~ Helen Keller

  • In the words of ~Helen Keller~ ...

~Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet, only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved.~ H. Keller

  • Wow..I m starting to learn about her. Magictricks3, Thanks for sharing :)

  • What's the song called?

  • Très belle musique fort sensible !

Merci pour votre apport remarquable !

  • Great tribute swee wee.

  • Why thank-you m'lord! ~wee swee~

  • ~I am filled with the wonder of her knowledge, acquired because shut out from all distractions. If I could have been deaf, dumb, and blind I also might have arrived at something.~ Mark Twain

  • What a wonderful, moving tribute. One of my favorite Hellen Keller quotes given during one of our high school's daily announcements that has stuck with me for 15 years is, "One can never consent to creep when one feels an impulse to soar."

  • I wonder if she ever lost her virginity, if she got a chance to experience love.

  • Wow... you learn something new every day! Thanks...

  • Wonderful.

  • Thank you. How beautiful! - Helen

  • Strange 99% of her pics were of the right side of her face, any reason for that, or just coincidence?

  • She had one eye that protruded but it was corrected with cosmetic surgery in adulthood that replaced both her eyes with two fake ones.

  • it was because she had a pertruding left eye and they wanted tp hide it.

  • how come all her pictures are from a side view?

  • H.K. was a good example of overcoming. Anne Sullivan was a amazing example of perseverance and hope.

  • helen keller quotes so she said those? or her teacher..

  • ~musicindisquise~, yes, they are Helen's words, not Anne's ...

  • how? she's deaf and blind- right?

  • ~musicindisguise, yes, she was deaf and blind, but she learned to communicate in various ways. She authored many books during her life.

  • wow. but would that be hard? i mean.. oh, Authored books- like the idea came from her. of course ;)

thank you. she must be pretty smart.

and the quotes, they're pretty deep for someone w/o the ability to speak or hear.

  • and mute......

  • ~Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, vision cleared, ambition inspired, and success achieved.~ H.Keller

  • ~Educated Rebellion~, how vile of you to condemn ~Helen~!

  • @UneducatedRebellion101

Please go on...What is the "truth" about Helen Keller? I'm just dying to know what a neo Nazi twerp thinks! lol!

  • Lovely, thank you for posting, what is the title of the musical accompaniment?

  • ~mwp62~, thanks so much for watching. The music is:

    Artist:Dax Johnson

Song:Childs Garden Part 3 -Jaydynn Sierra Evonne

    Album:The Random and the Purpose

  • Thank you, have a great day.

  • I still don't understand why not a voiceover instead of/in addition to the music. It is not whining about every little thing to request for blind people equal access to the world.

  • Ms2sonias

Then why don't you make one?

    You have found your calling!

  • Branden my love, that's an excellent point! If she is so concerned why yes, she should make one! I put my heart and soul into creating this vid in honor of ~Helen~, and I am rapidly tiring of ~Ms2sonia's~ neverending criticism!!!

  • Yes,honey...I can tell you put yuour heart and soul in this video. She is making me tired.....

  • I don't know how. Will you help?

  • When you create your vid then do as you see fit. I happen to like making tribute vids with music.

  • How ironic that deaf people can enjoy this tribute without modification, but there are no audible words for blind people - only music.

  • @Ms2sonias I don't think this tribute was created for blind deaf ,it is a tribute to the memory and acomplishments of Helen Keller.

  • who was deaf and blind. I am sure she would have liked her compatriots to have it accessible to them. Why cannot it have been created for everyone?

  • Ms2sonias

I think Helen Keller was....You seem like a socialist, whinning about every little thing....I'll bet you have a step installed at the stoop of your favorite doughnut shop so you get a free apple fritter when you"lose you balance".

  • Ms2sonias, I agree that Helen would have liked her as you say ~compatriots to have access to them~, but she would understand that I created this vid in her honor, and I do believe it would mean a lot to her that I think so highly of her that I would take the time to do so.

  • and she was a socialist. j.edgar hoover actually had an fbi file on her. she followed swedenbourg, he was an early christian socialist. i love helen keller, i can't imagine not being able to see, i think not hearing would have been bearable, and being able to learn something like 6 languages. i sometimes think though, that we forget annie sullivan, without her, none of this would have happened.

  • ~traverse~, I would never forget ~Anne Sullivan~. That's why I also have a video in her memory as well. I think that Helen achieved all she did, cause of Anne's influence and dedication.

  • i saw it, it's just some of the videos don't mention her.

  • i love hellen keller she is so awesome

  • Dear, you are a wonderful woman.

It's telling that many of your responses merely quote Helen. This simplicity of yours leads me to consider that Helen's words reveal her greatness. Helen basically understood. She didn't do (build) anything.

She couldn't understand us without relationships to further herself along, yet she didn't see or hear anyone. Being that removed from the material world, her magnificent understanding is available to even the penniless - to you, me, to everyone.

  • @tommynogo

What an arrogant and insulting comment you made to Delilah(magictricks3),what an asshole you are.

  • ~tommyn~, I quoted ~Helen~ to show her thoughts concerning different aspects of life. The fact is she is an inspiration on many levels. Kindly don't assume that I am simplistic. BTW, one does not have to ~build~ anything to be considered ~great~.

  • When someone make a comparatively complex point and you more than respond with but a *short* quote that inspires *much*, that's a wonderful simplicity - quite the opposite of the always pejorative "simplistic." Philosophy often equates "simplicity" with getting to the *essence* of the complex. Science equates it with a "beautiful" solution.

Time after time you, yes, simply quote H. Keller, the better to contrast with (highlight) the not-simplistic thoughts in her words. I found it a revelation.

  • "...one does not have to ~build~ anything to be considered ~great~" Not in our minds. But does Helen not teach us in her own way that, in todays popular American mind, "success" must somewhere contain a dollar measure?

I believe Helens words stood on their own in her day and America didnt try to commodify the success we credited to her. But name a popularly celebrated *contemporary* American in whose celebration dollars, directly or indirectly (say, book sales), dont finally sneak in.

  • no way this is impossible i am related to helen keller cause im related to robert e. lee

  • ~julianrox~, you are so lucky to be related to such honorable people as ~Helen~ and General Lee. I respect them both greatly for all they achieved during their lives.

  • thanks

  • are you really? hmm

  • ~totallydani~, Thanks so much for watching and commenting. I don't understand why your mom and grandma would ever make fun of ~Helen~. She was an amazing woman on so many levels. A true inspiration!

  • whats the name of the song, pleas??

  • ~kaycvan~,

    Artist:Dax Johnson

Song:Childs Garden Part 3 -Jaydynn Sierra Evonne

    Album:The Random and the Purpose

  • ~task~

  • ~I long to accomplish a great and noble tasks, but it is my chief duty to accomplish humble tasks as though they were great and noble. The world is moved along, not only by the mighty shoves of its heroes, but also by the aggregate of the tiny pushes of each honest worker.~ Helen Keller

  • now do the hellen keller and talk with ur hips lol r.i.p

  • same! lol

  • god bless her soul

  • Comment removed

  • LMAO!

  • And exactly just what are you laughing at, ~WhataPileofBullCrap~?

  • I think she is awesome you have no right to laugh at her she has made everybody think twice about deaf and blind people they can do more then you think so shut your mouth its not funny its serious so stop making fun of history

  • ~Once I knew only darkness and stillness... my life was without past or future... but a little word from the fingers of another fell into my hand that clutched at emptiness, and my heart leaped to the rapture of living.~ H. Keller

  • Branden my love, she has to be an angel! Nothing less would do!

  • I am astonished by her achievements .. a life without sight ot sound, and she triumphed .. she was a truly amazing person, thank you for this tribute.

  • Thank-you so much for watching. It means a lot to me when someone takes the time to leave a comment. I totally agree! Helen was a truly amazing person. So was her teacher and life-long friend, Anne Sullivan.

  • I am in awe of Helen's accomplishments. A true inspiration! As was her teacher and life long friend, Anne Sullivan.
