Once you start playing with live musicians you'll learn how to groove don't second guess yourself or judge yourself by what you think is working for you because I know you'd be an overall great bassist for studio/live/session playing. Keep playing no matter what they say.
don't let any of the negative, jealous, and miserable "people's" comments put any doubt in your mind. you've got "nothing" to prove to anyone. just have fun, stay happy and positive like ur are, and keep bringin' that fine, funky, groove talent u mos def have:) peace.
Hey little sister, I just wanted to say that you are doing pretty good, take your time and learn how to groove, feel where you're at with the music; that comes with time, and I would suggest to purchase a drum machine to help you stay in the pocket.
You will not regret it. Then all of the tunes you've learned of time, play them at different speeds to help you with your accuracy.
@seannyeah why dont you? she along with many others have inspired me to get a bass... i had to work for it, but im 2 weeks in and its coming along really great. its never too late or early go for it!! :)
I like your inventiveness and the liberties you take. I'd like to hear you do "I Wish" off that album. Also, we need you to cover Paul's bass line in "Something". C'mon. I just found you on here today and I'm hooked. Will be following your progress on here. But you need to get a band going. Playing with other like minded musicians. There's nothing like it.
