  • gorgeous, thanx for posting

  • Maybe you should mention that the "Salzkammergut" area is shared by both, Styria and mainly Upper Austria. Beautiful video anyway!

  • @Uahrgl: You are absolutely correct, 3 Austrian provinces share the gorgeous Salzkammergut region. In North America we associate this region mainly with Salzburg, but that is not correct. Thank you for pointing this out!

  • You´ve got a great Austrian accent like "Grimming"

    Nice vid ;)

  • @Restart515: Thanks for the comment, and not surprisingly I am able to pronounce "Grimming" with an Austrian accent, since I am originally from Austria, from the beautiful province of Styria (Steiermark). Liebe Grüße nach Österreich...

  • Such a beautiful place. How I wish to visit here with my family one day.

  • @FloridaVilla4Bed : Thank you for the kind comment, I just noticed it now. Let me know if you have any questions regarding Austria. I am originally from there and can provide you with some travel tips. All the best...

  • aww its tooo beautifulll there!!! i want to visiti austra too!

  • is it expensive to rent cars in Austria?

  • In my experience, Austria is not the cheapest country in Europe to rent vehicles, but it should still be fairly affordable if you rent a small stick-shift vehicle. Check out multiple car rental booking sites, compare their offers and make sure they include the necessary insurance. If your credit card has the proper coverage, you won't need collision damage waiver insurance. Good luck!

  • @Jamiekimme0643 it's cheaper to rent cars in Germany and drive into Austria.

  • @Jamiekimme0643 It shouldn't be probably more than 40 bucks in American(USD) to rent a vehicle in Austria.

  • very nice Scenery and why were u flying back too London where u still on a hoilday or just traveling around europe?

  • I was in Austria first, drove up to the city of Salzburg from my birth province of Styria, past the fabulous region of Salzkammergut. Then I took a plane from Salzburg to London. From there I flew back to Toronto. That was a really nice trip and I had gorgeous weather in Austria and in London..

  • Absolutely brillian! Funny you should mention "The Sound Of Music". I'm addicted to that movie though I'm only a 13 year old. Watched it 416 times :) Fantastic video mate. Appreciated!!!! It was just beautiful :)

  • I am glad you liked the video. The Salzkammergut is truly one of those areas where you think you have landed on a postcard. At every turn there are gorgeous views.

  • I've been to these areas in 1999, it was indeed beautiful. Austria is a beautiful country.

  • @MrJSabadojr: Thank you for your comment. Yes, Austria is indeed beautiful - epecially the Salzkammergut region. The landscapes are like a collection of postcards...

  • I don't really understand why Austria changed from yellow lane markings to white ones. I haven't been there for abour 20 years, but last time I was there, all road markings were yellow, making it stand out quite nicely from its neighbours.

  • It's not beautiful It's heaven, at least it is for me. :) Thanks!

  • It's a small world. I was heading back to London May 8 last year, I was also in Salzburg area.

  • thw beautiful region ... keep doing this, beutiful video

  • i also was there once. It is in deed the most beautiful landscape i have ever seen

  • that is such beautiful scenery.
