  • a 4.7 can cause quite alot of damage in the uk because all are bulidings are very old and made of bricks. so when we do have a earthquake even a small one it does some damage, we just arnt used to them here

  • a 4.7? that wouldnt knock anything over...

  • jeremy sumpter

  • I live in Tokyo. There is a M5-class earthquake every months. Also,Around Japan, it happens every weeks. Also M7-class earthquakes happen every years.(M7-class earthquakes have about 900 times of energy as M4.7-eartuquake.)

Do not worry. This is not armagedon or the end of the world.

  • HI.are they very bad there. i rember jan 95 one.

    TJ

  • I think the UK government is testing nuclear weapons underground in areas where there's old mine shafts, such as Yorkshire and Wales. There is a few RAF bases in Lincolnshire which could be used as testing grounds. Think about the areas, the year and the time of day in which they occur in Britain.

  • I live in manchester n It was well scary man

  • You need to see what's going on here in the north of Chile. Shit! That's scary. And the media talking lies about intensities. They say they are low intensity tremors. Tremors were not strange to people. Mate! i've lived all my life in Iquique here in Chile, and I haven't witnessed such scary shakes like the ones we are feeling nowadays. And they are quite a lot. People think that something strange is happening here.

  • Lol at flangelet, you go girl (or boy)!

It was 5.3, i live in market rasen and, yeah, i found it SCARY!

    So there.

  • I think this was taken a bit over the top. It was hardly an Earthquake.

Big deal some people's chimney stacks crumbled.

  • who cares

  • big frigging wup its like 5 on the richter scale and everyone is still crying. Japan get them on 8 +. Get over it , its a mini mini earthquake god sake.

  • it might be mini to you but its incredibly rare, many people i know thought armegeddon had come, it was the biggest earthquake in living memory, chimneys might not be important where you are but if the building they support is over 100 years old that's an expensive repair - 10 million pounds had to be spent getting everything back online

  • big frigging wup its like 5 on the richter scale and everyone is still crying. Japan get them on 8 +. Get over it , its a mini mini earthquake god sake.

  • no one is crying dick we dont get earthquakes so its a big deal not coz its strong coz its an earthquake. its like you getting some balls we got more but ur gonna brag anyway

  • The yanks are just jealous!

They'd love to live in so SAFE a country!

It's fun to watch them brag - 'You limeys are l**sers! You should live in an exceedingly dangerous, crime-ridden, beset-by-hurricanes/tornados/earthquakes/volcanos/YellowstoneSuperVolcano country like what we gone and does. Dagnabbit!'

9/11 and London 7/7 were false flag opperations designed as a pretext for war and designed to take away our freedom.

    Protest March 15th

  • Agree 100%

  • Everyone is saying how small this earthquake was - But you guys have to understand the UK doesn't get earthquakes so if one does happen, however small, it won't go unnoticed.

  • ATLAS Experiment, a huge Particle Accelerator in Sweden that will accelerate 2 protons almost to the speed of light and have them collide with one another. The 2000 plus scientists from all over the world who helped create ATLAS are hoping that this collision will create a "Mini Big Bang". Scientists don't know EXACTLY will happen. Some say it will crack the core of the Earth, some say it was open up extremely small black holes

Not big enough to do real damages but strong enough to let you feel the Earth being restless.

Global Warming may be causing the crust to expand just like the water in the ocean is expanding. Expansion = Pressure = More seismic events!

Wonder where the pressure has moved to? Wonder who will get the NEXT earthquake?

  • shut up

  • It was actually 5.2 on the Richter Scale.
