@ppbrasil12 thats opinion. IMO i like evans because they sound less bouncy. I like double ply so I use g2's. i did use emporers at first but i switched. But! if i dont get coated and get clear remo is the way to go. Evans just iMO last longer and sound better coated which is what i like.
if you want to increase your 4 way independance .... the Chapin book will get you going .... new breed by gary chester will bend your mind and frustrate you .... regarding this samba pattern , another way to get going with it is to do the first page of stick control against the samba ostinato
tha was alright man! basiclly ur doin the 16th note alphabet. u missed doin just the e's an just the a's tho. check out pete zeldman his 4 way co-ordination is insanity!
Let me guess - the varying pattern on the cymbal is Benny Greb's alphabet? ;)

@ppbrasil12 No, they're not it's all about preference. Remo may be better for you, but Evans is may be better for him.

in my opinion the best way to learn the four way coordination is to learn the bossa nova

@Mishkinow
The bossa nova came from the samba. So, in theory, he is doing just that.

That's so basic =|
And the backbeat (assuming snare is on 2 and 4) on the samba beat falls with the hi-hat... there you're playing the snare with either 1 or 3
Sorry I'm just picky when it comes to educating people because bad lessons means bad and mislead students

K now do the feet while playing rhumba clave, then with your right hand mimic your feet with the ride cymbal
