best player in the world- messi. hes not done a step over in a game ever. hes very good at them in practice but his game is quick and direct, and stepovers slow the game down. while usually not actually creating that much space, if the defending player knows how to deal with it. the way to play is using lane changes, insanely simple, fast and direct. many more successful pases and goals results from this type of play.

that's a good point...the key to any move is speed, and that's why messi is so successful with simple, quick, in cuts..he doesn't need to dance on the ball. A single stepover done with pace, at a defender who is slowing his momentum down coming towards the ball, though, is a great move...ronaldinho used to do that all the time in his Barca days

So many show-offs here! As it says, it's for beginners, so people who are just starting off actually find it pretty useful. If you wanna go off and make your own tutorial showing how to do advanced bicycle kicks and Ronaldo-esque moves, nobody's stopping ya, but this one is not actually that bad.
