@goner2008 Learn to recognize music in other manners besides the old ways. CHANGE IS GOOD. Yeah, sure. This guy sucked. Advanced DJ'ing, not just scratching, involves notes, measures, musical theory, counting beats, we're just as much musicians as you are, and just because we're doing it our way doesn't mean you're better than us. Stop being an egotistical jerk and learn to respect music in all of its forms.
ovbiously djkrytykal is another no talent musician wanna be dj. should prolly change your name to djgysmsip. I actually run a dj business as well as perfrom in a live band as a guitarist. I have nothing against DJ's, but scratching and all that other BS is a joke. When it comes down to it, people just want to hear music , plain and simple. sorry to pop your bubble, but get real.
@goner2008 So first you say turntables/mixer aren't a real instrument... But then you flip it and say you run a DJ business? Stop contradicting yourself. And if people didn't like scratching, why would there be such a large fanbase around it? If you go and ask a kid what a dj is, they won't say "someone who plays music", they're going to say "yeah, they do that wiki-wiki" thing. Mobile dj'ing is fine, but don't knock something that doesn't deserve it.
dont see any contradiction, all i'm saying is a dj scratching records is not equivalent to a musician playing an instrument. Yes, I run a dj business, and people pay me money to play music at their events, not to hear me scratch a record. I've never had anyone even ask for that. When I'm a dj, I play other music made by other folks, when I play with my band, I'm a musician. shouldn't be that hard to understand even for you.
ya man that was pretty bad. thats me. I don't remember scratching to that beat it sounds too fast for what i'd do. i used the beat for toasted marshmellow breaks. is there a video of the dj's from ur school??
