  • Kony 2012 - he must be arrested. Google it.

  • Yeah, kjemma - ; cannon fodder. If you're American, British, or French maybe you'd be speaking German instead of your native language. were it not for that cannon fodder. Those troopers did a pretty good job of making cannon fodder out of their opponents, too. Anyone who fights in a war is potential cannon fodder. Unfortunately, those who jumped in Korea, 187th RCT, and in Viet Nam, the 173d AB Brigade, were betrayed by our leaders and politicians and their sacrifices were ultimately in vain.

  • You can check out The White Buffalo cover of this song, it is good as this one.

  • My Mama loved this song she passed away Nov 29,2011 Mama I hope you rest in peace! I love and miss you so:(

  • We are the Airborne - ; engineers and infantry - ;

    Along with field artillery - ;

    We fly to combat so that others may be free - ;

    We give our lives to save your precious liberty - ;

    And when the tocsin sounds we're ready for the fray - ;

    Whether night or day - ; that's the Airborne way!

  • @Tannenberg71410 Cannonfodder-rhimes?

  • as an ex 50x british soildier i agree with all my usa friends have said god bless. bangor co.down northern ireland.

  • We checked equipment, and sounded off with "All O Kay",

    On that sultry Asian day - ;

    Flying to combat in that roaring big iron bird,

    Young paratroopers all and members of "The Herd",

    Our comrades waited on the ground for us below, the jumpmaster said go! and earthward we did go - - .

  • Stand up and hook up, in the skies above Munsan - ;

    The one eight seventh Raka Sans!

    Each trooper ready for the coming battle strife,

    To fight for freedom, even giving up his life - ;

    "Falling umbrellas" fill the blue Korean sky - ;

    Above where men will die - , and still we wonder why ? wonder why? - -

  • We were all troopers; in forty sevens did we fly - ;

    Potential killers from on high -

    With lethal weapons tightly stuffed inside our packs - ;

    Our parachutes securely strapped upon our backs -;

    And when the green light flashed we hurdled from the door -

    In nineteen forty four - and shall for ever more, ever more ever more ----

  • these are the best singers and song writters ever known i ask some of my friends and they dont even know who johnny cash or willie nelson is and its pathetic!!!

    R.I.P JOHNNY!!!

  • @zombiener08 Your friends don't know of them?? You gotta be kidding!

  • such an oldie, but it NEVER gets old.

  • wankers!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • git r done

  • song gives me chills every time.

  • @Dobro214 it is unknown to me, but what I am saying is that each life he lived must have had something in common with the one previous or else somebody would have accepted him somewhere instead of making him live four times. The part with cash is him trying to settle down but we don't know if he will, hence the ending lines of the song.

  • these are four of the greatest singers and song writers the world has ever know. pure greatness

  • @topop101 Agree with you 100%.....

  • Johnny you never left us!!!

  • A pagan? Lmao.

  • Mojo, if that were the case, then what exactly did the sailor, dam builder and johnny cash do wrong to atone for?

  • @BobRoss233 glad to know I'm not the only one

  • Am I the only one who sees a possible significance with this song?

    When I hear this I can't help but think that each life that this man lived was because of some awful thing he had done in the one previous and that when he dies he is reincarnated so he could try and fix his mistakes. That is the only way he can rest.

    I'm a Christian btw, so don't come at me about being bhudist or nothin.

  • @Mojotheamoroq Don't worry about it. I'm a Pagan and I too see the significance as well. We all make mistakes, the only problem is fixing said mistake.

  • I'm seventeen years old, I've been listening to this song since I was fifteen, and I've loved it ever since. As a teenager, I think that music from the outlaw era has a far better quality then modern country. So, Stormdragonbrisvagas, it's not an old fart point of view. Trust me. :)
