I highly doubt you have After Effects on your computer for "Free". You A) are thinking about something else, or B) Your Mommy and Daddy got it for you, so you think that means "free" or C) Lying your ass off. My Moms friend works for Adobe, thats how we got it. Even with the employee discount, it wasn't free, so I don't know what you're talking about. Full price, After Effects is $999, we got it for $40

Check out the Adobe web site. After Effects is what they used to help make the movie "Avatar" with! Do you think they could make a movie like that with iMovie of Windows Movie Maker??? LOL $1000 price tag is cheap when you think about all the things it can do, and it being the industry standard. You have to think about how much Adobe has to pay all the programers and everyone else that Adobe has to pay to get the software on the shelves.
@bestvidsdottk Torrent sites are full of viruses, plus you can't get the free upgrades when they come out, and they're prenty of upgrades that come out. Plus, regeristing your product gives you deals on future Adobe products. Also, it comes with hours of how to videos that don't come with illegal torrents.
@MikeyD3g you cant get viruses on a mac and you can upgrade and you wouldn't need deals if you got them all for free and and you can still use the videos on videocopilot

Yes, Mac's get fewer viruses than PC's, but that's because Mac's have barely a 10% market share in the U.S. Not too many people that write viruses write them for the Mac because most people don't use Mac's. I've known people who have Mac's getting viruses. I use a Mac myself, but I'm not going to fool myself into thinking that it's 100% safe from getting a virus. I guess that's why they make anti virus software for the Mac.
