I just realised what is wrong tho - The outfit demands silver slippers, not gold. But hey, who cares - love the left foot action Miss Bish, and if ever I get our glorious 1909 Norman and Beard finished, please will come and play this one for us?
SHOWMANSHIP! Swaggering but good playing. The origin is for Harmonium Op. 101 "33 Portraits" "Ein Siegeszug Israels" alla Händel. So everyone can play it without an organ :-)
I do like this piece and play it from her score - but in the transcription Ms Bish has done, and you can see in the video, she is duplicating notes in the left hand that are in the pedals. What's the point?
Can't get enough of that classic Ruffatti sound! It seems they are not voicing their choruses quite that way any more? I've played their large instrument in Charlotte and it was something quite different. Ruffatti is the finest builder in the world imnsho. I hope that extremely glistening brilliance and sparkling fire doesn't disappear from their instruments forever.
Back in the 70's Ruffatti was run by Antonio Ruffatti (Piero and Francesco's Dad) and the voicing was very bright with FIERY reeds, which I love. In the 80's Francesco and Piero took over and have since designed and voiced "more refined" instruments. FPC-Naples was very disappointing to me from where they used to be. I hope they will still build some "bright instruments" once again!
Does anyone know, how to get this score, maybe via internet? I found the score of the "Harmonium"-version but maybe there is also a score for organ wich you can download?
For download, I'm not sure, but for purchase there is a link on the top right corner of this screen that you can click that will take you to the store where you can get the score to this and many other pieces of music.
This joyful piece is actually no 5, from «33 Portraits» Op. 101 for harmonium (reed organ) by Kard-Elert, and is intitled «Ein Siegesgesang Israels »; better known in the organ world as «Praise the Lord», or «Festliche Musik alla Handel», since it was written in the handelian style. It receives here a masterful performance under the expert hands of Miss Bish!
If not for the characteristical Bish-stomp ... Excellent, so powerful majestic!

It's called showmanship. Makes it look more complex to non-organists.

@Contrubas Maybe she hasn't coupled the pedal division to the rest?

@Contrubas Maybe she has chosen not to couple the other divisions to the pedal?

Bravo! This track is great! Do you have Ms. Bish playing Karg-Elert's "Now Thank We All Our God" in HQ (preferably on this same organ)? Much thanks!

My most recent posting is of "Now Thank We All Our God", but not on this organ. It's on an organ in Speyer, Germany.

I have Diane Bish "transcription" for organ but it only duplicates the left hand on the pedal. You can can try a more original one

The original was written for harmonium so there's no original pedal part.

@LaudesOrgani It was written for the harmonium originally - just improvise a little and you'll enjoy!

I would have to agree. This and "Now Thank We All Our God" are Karg-Elert's best works.
