In the book Making Tracks : The Rise Of Blondie. It says that Debbie and Chris couldnt decide whether to buy a japanese car for durability or an american car for the economy as her mothers Camaro she used was thrown over cliffs. That's why the album is called Autoamerican.
my favorite song from one of my favorite albums!!!!!!! awesome, awesome song. it was a coming of age song for me - one of my best memories from high school.
Blondie was so ahead of their time! Their style, sound, and Debbie's looks set them apart from so many other bands of their time.

Great tune, great album.
I love the tune, but for some reason, nobody else does.
BTW, is the tune about the mythical native American god ?? because near the end she seems to be talking about the car.
