  • i just saw ms. rabotkina in the intimate setting of a "pianoforte salon series" recital at the fine arts building in chicago and i am completely amazed by the breadth of this woman's ability. the sounds she produced from the 7' fazioli were breathtaking. the range and control of her dynamics, voicing and pedaling were unbelievable. she opened with 3 pieces from brahms op. 119 followed by his op. 1 sonata. after intermiission, the humoreske by schumann. now here is a major talent...
