i've got a question, whit the air intake at the place of the TMIC, i just taught of this today, if it's raining like hell and you drive, is there any chances to get the intake wet or humide?

I love CS they really do make awesome stuff. IMO their DP & for that matter RP &/or CBE has the best sound of anyone by far! Has a far less tin can sound than the others. I only wish they made an option to get the highflow cat on the upper DP as I already have a catless RP & need to keep at least one cat on the car. p.s. I'd be curious how the carbon fiber kevlar hood with ram air worked w/ this. Would that be in effect dual ram air? One from the top scoop & the inlet through the front grill?

There is more work to do when installing the kit into a Mazdaspeed 6. The price just dropped on the FMIC kit though, it is $899 now.

With 3 mods I would recommend getting a pump upgrade then a tune.

i removed my ram air intake box just as an experiment. im not bashing corksports design at all, its great and very unique ( smart too ) . but i had to try something else. i made a custom sri intake with this setup and the car pulls slighty harder on the top end. just need to figure out a custom heat sheild now. if your are looking for a fmic kit, i highly suggest this kit!! fit perfect and corksport as a whole is awesome!! great ppl

4-5 hours for the install. Taking the bumper off is really what took the longest amount of time.

The stock location intercooler is not there. The intake system replaces the intercooler and utilizes the air duct for a ram air intake system

so is the tmic even used at all with that fmic on? If not why is it still on the car?

where the old intercooler was is now an air filter, so not air is being thrusted into the intake which goes through the turbo then through the fmic then into the car.

yea im loving my fmic. its great, i get a fair share of snow and rain in canada without a hitch. im waiting for my my recirc turbo inlet at the moment. otherwise the car runs better than ever. not to mention, with my aem cold air intake setup, i had to worry about puddles and flooding. not anymore!! best bang for the buck fmic, no questions. ram air, turbo inlet and fmic!!
