  • Not bad, I would have practiced more before so I didn't fuck it up quite so much before posting it on the Tube for all and sundry to take the piss out of. Another month and this could have been so much better. However, good effort. C+

  • es mas agudo amigo mio

  • like that, thank u ☼

  • You have HUGE hands! Nice song, but you have to work at your technique though

  • Anybody that can play the piano well is a genius in my book. Great job, and great job for all you musicians. I cannot possibly see how you can read music and play the piano with two different melodies simultaneously. It boggles the mind.

  • @clflem02 i thought the same thing, then when you go to start learning how to play 2 melodies simultaneously, you think about them as a whole rather then separate them in your head..its kinda hard to explain XD lol.

  • All wrong...

  • Awesome....and yes ignore the bad comments, lots of people on here are brainless, enjoyed listening, wish I could play half as good as you do, I'm actually gonna try and copy this hahaha

  • Very nice!

  • Just a tip, play it how you like but the way the composer Fauré originally wanted it is as a Pavane, which is a medieval dance. The way you play it is far too slow by this standard. Many people nowadays try to make this piece sad and moving but originally it was meant to be marching and slightly upbeat.

  • @haydthebear But pavanes were slow dances. Most pavanes are indeed "sad" and not upbeat at all.

  • Interesting version...def a different key, but it definitely works

  • I like your playing style, and the beard

  • Can you please please please post a tutorial?

  • Download the audio from this clip at searchripgrab doht cohm.

  • Does it really matter which key? presented and brougth by F-minorbut that does not mean you can only play it as in f-minor or does it? Nice playing but i prefer guitar :)

  • @Coldron of course it matters! every key has its own atmosphere, its own emotion!

  • @melawel probably associated with our experience and famous pieces written in the key rather than the actual acoustic and physical properties of the the tones. Strictly speaking, they shouldn't matter in the physical sense. But they do nonetheless, musically.

  • @jojobruin This.. is a hoax! Sorry.. i watched and listened.. sorry guys.. This one is big fat liar.. Now im waiting someone to pick up my interest on Finlandia ??

  • I've got the same piano!!!

  • I love piano! Just when you've thought you found it all, there's something else to fall in love with!

  • Terrible! An elementary interpretation...

  • C# AT 1:29? T____T

  • without the book...you play so well!!!! beautiful!

  • This music will always bring a smile to my face. In a flute transcription, it was the theme for a radio show on CBC in the 1970s and 80s, which i was inordinately fond of..... but i forget the name of the show!!! It may have been late at night: i recall laying in bed listing to it. Anyone??? (i really miss the old CBC.... they've gone downhill pretty steeply in recent years, sigh!!!!)

  • play it faster, and it's not for a funeral

  • please tell me wish book was it what you bougt ?

  • well done!

  • can u make a video on teaching this song?

  • Sehr schönes Musikstück wunderbar gespielt!

  • beautifully played

  • Can you send me the sheet music, please?

  • The sheet music is freely available on the internet! Go to "imslp (dot) org (slash) wiki" for the Petrucci Music library, where this score along with a lot of other classical works in PD can be found

  • @m4dp4rrot , thank you very much)))

    Quils sont laids! Chers minois!

    Quils sont fols! Airs coquets!

Et cest toujours de même! Et cest ainsi

    toujours!

    On sadore! On se hait!

    On maudit ses amours!

Adieu, Myrtil! Eglé! Chloé! Demons moqueurs!

    Adieu donc et bons jours

    aux tyrans de nos coeurs!

  • this is exactly the same piano we have! It looks and sounds like new even though it's about 12 years old or something.

  • This is one of my favorites and finding this in your channel makes my day!!! I want to learn this! Any chance you have the sheets? I just wish I can play this even half as beautiful as you did!!! Excellent job!!!

  • I so need the sheet music for this song as I find it most beautiful. I can listen to you play over and over. Job well done !!!!

  • the best version, for sure..

  • were singing this for chorus with dahs doos and deees. ahaha its so beautiful.

  • Actually there is a French text added later: Cest Lindor! cest Tircis! et cest tous nos vainqueurs! Faites attention! Observez la mesure! O la mortelle injure! La cadence est moins lente! Et la chute plus sûr! Nous rabattrons bien leurs caquets! Nous serons bientôt leurs laquais!
  • Euh...it's written in F# minor....

  • rieght?

  • lol

I'm playing an arrangement for flutes and clarinets...

The clarinets get to play in the lovely key of G# - (double-sharps also included in the music)... enharmonic torture? Ooooh yeah

  • fantastic, hope I can play this like you, some day...

  • ignore the bad comments you did brilliantly

    x

  • great work!

  • Yamaha makes great pianos. Faure wrote great music. I think you lost main theme at the begining. Trying to play legato you forget about sound. Pianissimo doesn't mean "nothing"

  • Lovely.

  • : ) perfect

  • beautifully played. Video angle is just right for me to try and learn to play this piece. Thanks

  • for some reason... ive heard someone singing this song before or something... its a lovely piece of music...or was it from the...final fantasy song? T-T; i don't know...

i saw this 3 students from my school for the chamber orchestra... they play it with one harp, and viola and flute... it was so nice =)

  • I think it was "Il Divo" :) Yes, they sang on this music

  • i think. am so not sure.

  • yes yes, Il Divo....the song: "Isabel"

  • Thx <3

  • Bobby McFerrin also sang (and conducted) this on his album "Paper Music." Indeed, this piece is very reminiscent of video game music, notable the Kingdom Hearts OST by Yoko Simomura.

  • ahh,, i tink ive heard it fromm kingdom hearts,, thx,, <3

  • I really like Pavane in this key, as opposed to F#m.

  • Yes; this is an easy play transcription but nicely rendered for the level of skill demonstrated, and yes again the original is indeed in F#m. For me - the definitive version is available to you 'youtubers' at Yoshimanoff

  • Shouldn't that be in F# minor?

  • yes

  • @grebbx I've seen two different ways to play this and I always thought this was the right one :)

  • @grebbx I thought it was suppose to be in f minor.

  • @grebbx it can be in different keys. F# minor is jst the common one.

Very nice you have a beautiful way of playing! :)

  • @grebbx yessss

  • @grebbx what's the original tonality? this is strange...

  • Lovely, aww this piece is soo nice! I must learn it! Very nicely played, but yeah, I think when the right hand has octaves and thirds, it could be a bit smoother. Nicely brought out in the right hand on the whole. oh dear, I sound like an adjuducator! sorry. lol.

  • mystère... et boule de gomme

  • I thought the tempo was consistent, however, the left hand might need some work. I noticed that during some parts of the piece you tended to either speed up of slow down the rhythm of your left hand. Luckily it did not change the tempo. Good job, and keep working hard! You sound great!

  • awesome player!! where can i get the notes?

  • Outstanding, dictated perfectly!

  • This sounds good. I don't think it's too slow - the tempo allows us to savour this beautiful tune and Fauré's equally beautiful harmonies. Thank you for posting

  • Nice technique. Great piece.

  • Little slow for my taste. At least you didnt change tempo though.

  • awesome .. this was sampled in a rap song =)

  • Nice triplets. :)

  • Well - at least its in sync, but the version I play is in A. Nice tempo

  • you should check out the recording of Faure himself playing his Pavane which is also on youtube

  • too slow

  • can you please do a tutorial on this please...its the left hand i need the focus on plz thx will be very appreciated

  • very nice XD

  • Thankyou. That was really nice =]

  • I really like this pavane of Gabriel Fauré, i'll go to the music store tomorrow and I'll buy these sheets... I must play it perfectly like you! Thank's for the motivation.

  • omg.... this is soooooo fucking heartbreakingly beautiful..

  • omg this song tuggs at my heart strings... corny but thats how it feels

  • This is a cool song, but I only have it for piano 4 hands and I don't have that many... :(

  • It's part of a big book of classical music I bought.

  • This is absolutely lovely,

may I ask where you found this sheet music?
