Not bad, I would have practiced more before so I didn't fuck it up quite so much before posting it on the Tube for all and sundry to take the piss out of. Another month and this could have been so much better. However, good effort. C+
Anybody that can play the piano well is a genius in my book. Great job, and great job for all you musicians. I cannot possibly see how you can read music and play the piano with two different melodies simultaneously. It boggles the mind.
@clflem02 i thought the same thing, then when you go to start learning how to play 2 melodies simultaneously, you think about them as a whole rather then separate them in your head..its kinda hard to explain XD lol.
Awesome....and yes ignore the bad comments, lots of people on here are brainless, enjoyed listening, wish I could play half as good as you do, I'm actually gonna try and copy this hahaha
Just a tip, play it how you like but the way the composer Fauré originally wanted it is as a Pavane, which is a medieval dance. The way you play it is far too slow by this standard. Many people nowadays try to make this piece sad and moving but originally it was meant to be marching and slightly upbeat.
Does it really matter which key? presented and brougth by F-minorbut that does not mean you can only play it as in f-minor or does it? Nice playing but i prefer guitar :)
@melawel probably associated with our experience and famous pieces written in the key rather than the actual acoustic and physical properties of the the tones. Strictly speaking, they shouldn't matter in the physical sense. But they do nonetheless, musically.
@jojobruin This.. is a hoax! Sorry.. i watched and listened.. sorry guys.. This one is big fat liar.. Now im waiting someone to pick up my interest on Finlandia ??
This music will always bring a smile to my face. In a flute transcription, it was the theme for a radio show on CBC in the 1970s and 80s, which i was inordinately fond of..... but i forget the name of the show!!! It may have been late at night: i recall laying in bed listing to it. Anyone??? (i really miss the old CBC.... they've gone downhill pretty steeply in recent years, sigh!!!!)
The sheet music is freely available on the internet! Go to "imslp (dot) org (slash) wiki" for the Petrucci Music library, where this score along with a lot of other classical works in PD can be found
This is one of my favorites and finding this in your channel makes my day!!! I want to learn this! Any chance you have the sheets? I just wish I can play this even half as beautiful as you did!!! Excellent job!!!
Actually there is a French text added later: Cest Lindor! cest Tircis! et cest tous nos vainqueurs! Cest Myrtil! cest Lydé! Les reines de nos coeurs! Comme ils sont provocants, comme ils sont fiers toujours! Comme on ose régner sur nos sorts et nos jours! Faites attention! Observez la mesure! O la mortelle injure! La cadence est moins lente! Et la chute plus sûr! Nous rabattrons bien leurs caquets! Nous serons bientôt leurs laquais!

Boring, is it an android playing or human and does it know any dynamics other than soft and boring. : )Sorry, just to mechanical and everything is kept at piano with no colouring or dynamics, hence boring!
Yamaha makes great pianos. Faure wrote great music. I think you lost main theme at the begining. Trying to play legato you forget about sound. Pianissimo doesn't mean "nothing"
for some reason... ive heard someone singing this song before or something... its a lovely piece of music...or was it from the...final fantasy song? T-T; i don't know...
i saw this 3 students from my school for the chamber orchestra... they play it with one harp, and viola and flute... it was so nice =)
Bobby McFerrin also sang (and conducted) this on his album "Paper Music." Indeed, this piece is very reminiscent of video game music, notable the Kingdom Hearts OST by Yoko Simomura.
Yes; this is an easy play transcription but nicely rendered for the level of skill demonstrated, and yes again the original is indeed in F#m. For me - the definitive version is available to you 'youtubers' at Yoshimanoff
Me ha gustado mucho tu calmada ejecución y el exquisito movimiento de teclado que realizas con su sonoridad mantenida. Gran trabajo y sentimiento expresado en tu forma de hacer musica. Gracias desde España.

Lovely, aww this piece is soo nice! I must learn it! Very nicely played, but yeah, I think when the right hand has octaves and thirds, it could be a bit smoother. Nicely brought out in the right hand on the whole. oh dear, I sound like an adjuducator! sorry. lol.
I thought the tempo was consistent, however, the left hand might need some work. I noticed that during some parts of the piece you tended to either speed up of slow down the rhythm of your left hand. Luckily it did not change the tempo. Good job, and keep working hard! You sound great!
This sounds good. I don't think it's too slow - the tempo allows us to savour this beautiful tune and Fauré's equally beautiful harmonies. Thank you for posting
I really like this pavane of Gabriel Fauré, i'll go to the music store tomorrow and I'll buy these sheets... I must play it perfectly like you! Thank's for the motivation.

@haydthebear But pavanes were slow dances. Most pavanes are indeed "sad" and not upbeat at all.
