I never get tired of watching this match. What an assassin he was. I hear he is doing great as a Coach for the Norwegian team Molde FK now. Look's like he will win Norways Premier Leage. I would't be supprise if Ole came back to ManU as a Manager when Sir. Alex Ferguson retire. (If he ever does!!!)
@DriftK13 Yeah but consistency is the name of the game, 1 goal in each of 4 different matches is something Messi would get and thats much better for your team thn 4 in 1 match
@ThaGrimReefah34 That's like me saying Heskey is great because he's scored 1 goal in 4 matches, rather than someone who can score 4 in 1. Yeah the tally makes no difference at the end of the day, but i'd rather 4 in 1 match than 1 per match in 4 games in a row.
The thing that 20legend understood, was that you alsways have to work hard for the club and not expect that everything comes without an effort! HE never complained for being put on the substitute bench, and when he came out on the field he always fought for his only true love, Manchester United!!!
About time you came back to Molde, Ole Gunnar! This is the club where you started your professional career and the beste place to start your managerial career! We're happy to have among us again!
People who say solskaer isn't good are retarded they clearly couldn't get a game for a prem team or sub for man united and do what he does so all you gays can fuck off
it was a pleasure watching him..no matter if he was the best or he wasnt....when u come in as a subtitute and score and save ur team the the coach realizes the mistake he made not choosing you in the first XI
These little kids have no idea what players like Solkjaer, Yorke, Cole and the rest were really like.
Back in the day when Man Utd was becoming the club it is now these guys were at the forefront, Yorke and Cole were the best pair of strikers anyone could stick together on a field, Solkjaer was a scoring machine and did ALOT in the 1999 league win which led to the treble.
Other than the fact that he WAS an "ok sub", Solskjaer did at-least very well as a super sub, the goal count simply disagree with you there mate..
As a starter he did very well too, as a left winger when Beckham got injured, I think he scored 17 goals..
He had problems with injuries in his last seasons, but saying he was not a good player, is ignorant.. also scoring in around every second league match in one of the worlds best leagues at that time, proves that..
understand your point, but still not to forget is that he was never anything other then a super sub, unfortunately he never got to be a respected first eleven player, but as a sub, there was no one better.
@AbodiJon no this is not true.. When Van nistelrooy came.. Solskjaer and Nistelroy were Uniteds two strikers, until he got injured against panathinaicos in 03
Yorke, Cole, Sherringham and SOLSKJAER!!! They never complained of being subs!! They all worked very hard to earn 1st team place. That made them most feared attacking forces in Europe. Not like Tevez who cried all the time for being being left out in the bench. What a greedy scumbag!!
"Not like Tevez who cried all the time for being being left out in the bench."
- Diego Forlan and Carlos Tevez would be an absolutely formiddable strike force. Tevez has scored about 4 goals against United already, good goals too.
Forlan showed why he is class in the World Cup, outscoring Rooney, Messi and Torres.
@69salford69 rooney and messi just failed in world cup. torres was injuried i belive? and todays soccer players like ronaldo would be good players if they didnt whine all day on the pitch.
Forlan is such a player, i have never seen him cry on the pitch =) maybe thats why he had such a succesful world cup?:P
Rooney was injured after his last goal in March. Torres was very similar.
Messi failed suits the modern game because you're not allowed to tackle anymore, and this World Cup had some ferocious tackling. That's why he failed.
@brdrmnts To be fair, is it more greedy to want to play regularly in the first team or to sit on a bench earning big money for less work? Not really a criticism of Solskjaer as he genuinely didn't care about his wage packet. But why is Tevez not allowed to be unhappy at being dropped for Berbatov?
@brdrmnts Also, I wouldn't say that the other three, though still decent blokes, were as selfless as Solskjaer. Sheringham and Cole chose to leave because van Nistelrooy was signed. And Yorke's United career quickly fell apart after he became distracted by the playboy lifestyle.
After the 8-1 goal I was shocked. I didn't speak to the press, got home and took a glass brandy before I felt asleep. Next morning I wake up by my wife calling "Ron, Ron wake up, it's nine!" Then I thinked: Oh no, not Solskjaer again!" Ron Atkinson
Solskjaer was in the top list, oh man was he good, even for a good few years later he still had it in him. what a player
just thinking about cantona, solskjaer, brian mcclair, beckham, scholes, giggs, jaap stam gives me goosebumps. whatever team they thrash and whatever goals they score, to me the 1999 team was,is and will always be the best team in the world!
First I saw Cantona, then I saw Solskjær. From that day I saw him, I turned United-fan. I was about 5 or 6 years old back then, but Solskjær is still my favorite. We Norwegians should be proud of being Norwegians because of Solskjær, especially in the football world. He's THE man, not only on the pitch, but out there in the world as well. Just look at what he's doing now. No words can definite that person. As long as Solskjaer shines, the Earth will keep spinning.

It's my opinion, if you believe i dont know...vinnie jones was the best player of all time, I may dissagree with you, but I would understand that it's your decision to have your own idols and opinions...
I remember hearing about this on the BBC. Glad I finally got a chance to see it. (Still don't see too many "soccer" highlights here in the States.) The Babyfaced Assassin indeed! Awesome!
