Thats hilarious! Im a crewman (Air Loadmaster) on the J model Hercules and was on the K model before I moved across. Both aircraft can land on strips and do so quite regularly. The J has more power though so can lift more out of these strips. The K model in the middle of summer can only lift about a quarter of that of the J model. Both are great aircraft but the K is getting old. You are very miss informed about the K landing on strips.

Not sure about the loadmaster name bud but my mate piloting was Flt Doc Livingston and i was also obliged to be with the RAFS 1st women Pilot as well

No the last wasnt sold to the Austrians. It is correct that some were sold but that was way after the last cammo paintjob was painted over.
