You can play OG or OG2 on GBA first, they've been released outside japan (also others have fan translations) to get used to the system. They all work the same, so you should be able not to get too lost in the menus and all.

What to do? Well it's strategy-rpg, so you select your units and kick some ass in missions, it's linear. If you have other problems, there should be guides out there.

Depends on the main character you selected.

If Cobray you get them early by Stage 6 if I remember right.

You can also get them in Selena's route but you'll take control on the bad guys of SEED and so as Wufei and Trowa!

The gundam featured is the customized version of HeavyArms, called HeavyArms CUSTOM, HeavyArms Kai is the second version of HeavyArms, and is basicly the same thing as HeavyArms standard, except can now engage in space combat.

Both Sandrock and HeavyArms had a Kai stage, uprading them to space combat.

The others are Wing Gundam, Wing Zero, Wing Zero Custom, Shenglong, Altron, Altron Custom, DeathScythe, DeathScythe Hell, DeathScythe Custom.

And then of course, Tallgeese, Tallgeese II, Epyon (technechly the original Tallgeese III), and Tallgeese III who was only featured in Endless Waltz, and was considered an upgrade from Epyon (hence the Heat Whip and increased agility)

Real robots are nice in my opinion, very versatile and good in estrategies, Gundam W is master in it, it don't give monstruous damages but the atacks make sense at last...(Point the gigant robot creating a highway of purple light)
