@skazhiprivet Thanks so much! I agree with the other languages, but unfortunately we don't have the money or resources to do that. I think the CA Tourism bureau has a deal with Huell Howser, so they're not tied to us in any way. :)
Here it's an oddity when we DO have clouds or rain. I know I take the sunshine and warm days for granted. I've been here since 1970 but did spend 2 years in Montana in 79, and 80. That was harsh winters. It's really unfair..... the climate here. I feel guilty.
I meant to say I lived in Clairmont Mesa Area and went to Kearny High School....class of 1973...we lived in Chula Vista, and every weekend we used to go to Balboa Park, and see the Reuben H Fleet Space Theatre......I even did a play at the Old Globe theatre.....I miss San Diego..
I heard the temperature doesn't fall below 60 degrees. Is that true? Live in NYC and the winters are getting to me. It's been mild this year, but who knows what next year will bring. Need warmth year round and considering moving.
@aligned576 More like 50 degrees. January is the coldest month, with an average low of about 48 degrees. Hope you can make it out here. I think you'll love it! :)
@aligned576 It can get a bit cool at night in the winter but it's typically warm in the day, even in winter. Today was like summer. About 80* in La Mesa (15 min inland). We don't have much for seasons and our winters are like summers in some places. Sounds like it's the place for you. Best wishes!
@MIKECNW I think the humidity in SD about 70%. Perfect climate. It would have to be over 90 degrees for you to notice that humidity. It's really a perfect climate there.
we were just in san diego and coronado island was the best thing we saw. i wouldn't even bother going to mission beach. gas lamp has a lot of fine eateries and i highly recommend going on a whale watching tour or on a cruise (hornblower)
I was stationed on Coronado Island and lived in Imperial beach from about 1978 till 1983. And I can honestly say, I didn't recognize one thing in this video other than the Hotel Del. Everything looks like it's changed.
You people that live in San Diego have no idea how lucky you are.... I live in New England and the weather sucks here about 10 months out of the year.....
@TheCaptainLucky We just moved from Groton, CT to San Diego for the Navy. If it makes you feel any better, we have EVERY idea how lucky we are!!! We had breakfast this morning on our patio, in the sunny 75 degree weather. This place is truly paradise.
I go to Indian Rocks Beach, FL every year for a month. This year were spending 2 weeks in San Diego, CA and 1 week in Indian Rocks Beach, FL. Going to San Diego in mid-July, hopefully June Gloom is done! Really excited. I'll be staying near the Balboa Park area. Any tips?
@HeyMyNameIsJared Be sure to tour the Balboa Park museums and Old Town, which I didn't cover in this video. Mission Beach is also fun. Have a great time!
I've lived in San Diego for 6 months.. and I miss every single second I spent there!! The place is so gorgeous that when I relocated to the SF Bay Area, my first time off from work was... a weekend in San Diego :)
Stop by El Cajon for authentic middle eastern cuisine as we have the 3rd highest Arabic population in the world behind Baghdad and Detroit. Plus Alpine's chill too.
San Diego is awesome! I was born here and I'm now 19. I love it here no place is too far unlike LA which takes hours to get anywhere. Mostly everyone is nice and laid back like you would expect it to be. There is a good amount of places to go and things to see. The birch aquarium in La Jolla is a nice place to visit. Sunset Cliffs is one of my favorite places in the whole city, my friends and I practically live there during summer. Too much stuff to do I've done most of it. I 3 SD
HEY, you forgot to mention the San Diego COMIC-CON!!!!!!!! ALL kinds of people dress up as their favorite movie and anime characters and you can walk around and meet different celebrities & artists, like the guy from Marvel & DC comics. In 2004 I met artists Brian Froud and Olivia De Berardinis (the artist who paints Betty Page). I played Medal of Honor there before it came out. This place only showcases 4 days each year. It's a huge convention
I'm from houston. I joined the Marines i'm going to bootcamp and MCT here. It looks so beautiful. I know I won't be able to enjoy it because i will be in bootcamp. But I want to get stationed at camp Pendleton. My sister lives in the bay area. She says Cali is beautiful. I hate houston it sucks , no natural beauty, the weather is even worse its almost 100 degrees year round. But i do love my houston rockets which used to be in here before the came to houston. I can't wait to get out of texas.
@jr7rockets Hey, thanks for your service and have a wonderful time in San Diego! You'll probably be able to get away here and there. Hang in there through boot camp. My brother did it and I know it's tough!
@jr7rockets Some parts of San Diego are really bad with abunch of wanna be gangsters so be you gotta be careful about that.like me i live in a bad neighborhood but everybody knows me so im good lol and its pretty cold down here maybe cause its almost winter.
@dav1dwi1s0n I lived in S.D from the time when I was young till the age of 32. and its not that great haha people like to make it seem like SUPER fun and awesome, but its honestly pretty boring...the only thing to do is see the zoo and sea world..thats like the only interesting thing here...
I grew up in LA and trust me its highly overrated compare to other places in So Cal. I lived in San Diego and its so awesome and there is so much to do and its alot safer even at night. I miss Cali but I miss San Diego even more.
