A full scale J-3 has a wing span of 35.25 feet. 35.25 x .75 = 26.43 feet. That doesn't look like a 26' wing span to me.
I just sold a 3/4 scale Citabria that was a registered Amateur Built Experimental. Not a model. I'm 5'9" and 160lbs and I fit in it with plenty of room. There is no way I could fit in this Cub.
How is the scale calculated on these models?
I just watched a video of a 1/2 scale Tri-Pacer that was in no way actually 1/2 scale of the full scale plane.
