  • Thank you so much for this video Shanda. I just recently went through domestic violence and feel if I didn't get out of the house I would've died.

This is a great video for women to see and just like you said, I am now a stronger woman for what has happened. However, I do not forgive this guy.

  • I feel that we should have a lot more awareness about women who beat their husbands or boyfriends. People seem to think that that isn't as bad, but it is. And what makes it worse than when a husband beats his wife is that there's so much more stigma and so little support for beaten men.

  • Great video, Shanda! Thanks for taking the time and effort.

  • lmao at the guy who said bear-hugging. u can trick his dumb ass into admitting assault. touching is wrong when you are angry. people need to keep hands to themselves. especially when they are mad.

  • That was good advise and a good session on abuse.

  • All you pussies screaming how "it's not all women" are just doing an even better job at covering up domestic violence than the law is. The numbers DO NOT lie. Yes, men are prone to be abused, as well as a woman, but the fact remains that there are many factors of why way, way more women get beaten and murdered by their husbands/boyfriend's/ex's each day, each year than men.

  • I hate violent women. Well, I hate violent PEOPLE, but its worse with women because i know i can't hit her. Bear hugging always works though, that's all I can do with a crazy bitch.

  • real talk ROMCHILL if theres no structure u cant build so men if u have kids its important 2 set a good example 4 ur kids cuz i know 4 myself i try 2 cuz i have girls and i have 2 set a standard 4 them so they dnt get involved wit the wrong man and i was raised in a domestic house and i wouldnt want my daughters 2 feel the pain my mom felt..so it all starts wit the man so MEN we need 2 do better BLACK MEN most of all cuz its not 2 many of us left!!!

  • yo wats good its been a while how are yall doing

  • Men can also be victimized. It isn't just women. My dad was physically abused and verbally abused by his ex-wife. He refused to hit her back and she took advantage of it and once he had to go to the hospital for stitches because she had thrown glad plates at his face.

  • omg that is horrible. i know women can be b&*( too! Im sorry for ur dad. If i were him, i would hit her back, for sure. He is just too good. Too bad people take advantage of it.

  • getting out safely is the key

  • Here's a tip to dumb chicks that don't know how to get out of a abusive relationship! Some point and time after the man hit you he going to want to fuck, So at that moment you grab his dick get it nice and hard pull out a knife and say lets go to hell bitch! That doesn't work there's always grits!

  • what i don't understand is if a women is getting beat, why do they stay with they spouse? and say ooo i love him......... nooo you like getting wooped

  • You're an idiot. Completely and utterly ignorant. MILLIONS of people, not just women---men too--- are still suffering domestic violence. It is still a problem. My father is a 911 operator and OVER HALF of all his calls are domestic violence related. I think you are lucky because you may have not experienced or heard much about it, but don't you dare attack someone for trying to offer support to people in need. Saying domestic violence has vanished is like saying the holocaust never happened.

  • So true!!!!!!

  • You say I am a idiot for telling the truth. Hmm.. I wonder why we have %70 single black women oh and why their kids are killing themselves in the street? Guess what there are no men around to protect them any more. So you & Shanda keep preaching that most domestic violence cases are male on female. When you promote a beast you get one! I don't see you promoting family structure here either. Keep filling the jails with false allegations and good men and watch your children and communities perish!

  • Five stars - great job at reaching out to others ;D

  • That is true Shanda. I am a teen and was once in a abusive relationship. It was a verbal abusive one but that is just as bad. Luckily we are not together anymore. I found i great guy and im married with a baby girl on the way. I wouldnt want her to go thru what i went thru...I love the fact that you are spreading the word about this awareness. Its great. =)

  • ur a married teen with ababy girl on the way?

    dayuuuuummmmmm!

  • Shanda you are such a kind intelliget woman. I see you in a whole new light in these vlogs!! I love you and scoop and I love you 2 together!

  • Domestic violence is real but so are false claims of domestic abuse. I was a victim of that. My now ex wife claimed abuse to get a green card. Other women claim abuse for advantage in divorce or custody cases. This deserves attention as well.

  • @Phoenixspin u r right and it is sad when people lie or beat on men.u knew he was a punk. don't clown him. u know? women in my family beat men. i have seen it. I don't hit people or file false charges. if he really did something....people would just read and remember about him. I am sorry that happened to u though

  • Great video!!!!! Love the hair as well.....please change your smoke detector batteries, I can hear the beep!! Lol

  • that's good hearing, you got good ears. I had to go back to re-play but I heard it. how funny.

  • i love youuuuuuuuuuuu

  • Chris Brown'd LMAO thats a good way of putting it

  • That sounds like that would be true, but it's not... the majority of people who get abuse continuously don't nag and fuss because they don't like being physically hurt but something about the relationship (low self-esteem, bad domestic examples, or their so called "love" for that person, fear for their life, etc) makes them stay. Usually those "nagging" women are not the ones abused... Not condoning nagging in a relationship because eventually you won't have a man but I digress...

  • Also Me And My Hubby We Have Health probs and We Check on each other because there are folks out here that misuse us and treat us like we don't matter that really bother me .

  • Did not know this It's so much going On for Oct . thanks it Is an everyday Struggle to I Vent And try to ask family and friends to do the same to stay safe.

  • I LOVE YOU!

  • A woman gets domestically beaten every 15 seconds, worrying stuff, really puts it in perspective :(

  • What about the men? Men get abused too.

  • Not nearly enough on scale with women, but i'm sure it happens. Infact I know of a court case recently last week in England were some guy was living with this woman and her boyfriend she ended up having her boyfriend beat him to extort tons of money off him for a period of years and eventually ended up chopping his finger off to make him pay faster. Those 2 went to jail but that is so rare that men get domestically abused its nowhere near the same compared to women.

  • I'm sure it's under-reported much more than violence against women is.

  • It's not nearly enough because if a man reports to the police his ass is getting beat by a woman they'll be called a p***y of a lil b**ch. So they keep it a secret. For all we know it could be half and if oyu see the way women treat men nowadays maybe even more.

  • Yep that's true but most assume men are too 'strong' to get 'abused'. There are weak men mentally and physically out there also who get abused.

This month dedicated to violence shouldn't be only for women. But meh. Ppl close to me have been abused. I've seen both sizes. My mom abused my dad, my sister was abused by her husband. So it can go both ways yo.

  • I agree with you a 1000%

  • Yeah and I believe it's a growing problem.

  • how often do we hear women say after the event i love him.

  • i really lovd your videos and i love your hair x
