  • The trains in the USA look more fun to drive than our trains here in the UK

  • How cool is it to see a train going town the MIDDLE OF A ROAD, thats rare in itself, Very cool Catch

  • Can you imagine being a tourist in the town? "Oh honey, look at that old mill...WHY IN THE HELL IS THERE A TRAIN IN THE STREET!?!?" haha

  • @amarkanders777 No, not really

  • they have that in pipestone minnesota and dubuque's industial river area where the freight rolls right bythe factories on the road... i agree how noone hits the train on a road yet they get them on the crossings... its the same idea as light rail but heavier..

  • All Geeps. pretty cool street! Wish my house was along it. :-)

  • What street was this on?

  • @ 0:53 the little blue car seen the train a skeeted off. lol

  • @ervans I saw a CN freight train today

  • i like the part where the train is rolling through the middle of the street

  • wow. is that a treat or what! I see nothing like that here in So. Cal.

  • Didn't count them, but my calculations show 115 wagons.

  • oh snap!! right down the middle! but near the end, why don't those vehicles just drive alongside the train?

  • Those arent rare for me right across the river to the other state there is a street track like that.

  • wierd

  • tailgaters ha ha

  • very rare indeed

  • If i saw that coming down the middle of my street id be like "WTF"!!!

  • Staggering video, I was well impressed. I did count the cars eventually, and there was about 92 on the train, quite a load. Nice post, thanks again

  • Staggering video, I was well impressed. I didnt count the cars but there was a load of them. Nice post, thanks

  • Thanks to your video I was able to make that shot when I was out west on a road trip this summer. Great stuff!

  • @JayJr2007 Thanks, send me a link to the video

  • Cant believe it in the UK there would be cops, 50 people with yellow vest the road would be closed. The Health & Safety jobsworths would have nightmares seeing this.

    Thanks for posting.

  • must be wicked when this train goes off the rails

  • nice. never seen any thing like that.

  • That looks so weird, seeing a train going down the street. Awesome video!

  • 5:10 great bomb

  • @AftaDaRelays2k steeeezzyy.

  • that is either P&W train 663 or 664 depending on direction, it usually ran with all BNSF power awesome you caught this!

  • What was the car at the end of the train doing?

  • @Borbuster

    Was wondering the same thing..

  • Trains run down the middle of the street right in the city of Tampa, Fl, also in Clearwater ,FL

  • hi, I know nothing about trains and engines but what MONSTER can move THAT monster? :|

  • @SuperApple1337 Steel wheels on steel rails have much less rolling resistance per ton than rubber tyres on asphalt. Railways - including this one - are also built as near to level as possible, with much less gradient allowed compared to roads. This means that a locomotive with a few thousand horsepower is enough to move a train weighing a few thousand tons. A long train like this one - weighing at least ten thousand tons - requires several locomotives which are seen at the head of the train.

  • well thats one way to get around town.

  • hey, my 2 yr old son is your biggest fan. He can watch your train videos all day long and that means... I cant do anything else.

  • @rkoti14 Thanks, nice to hear, but sorry about that

  • @ervans

It doesn't look safe why don't they just remove it. A lot people would get killed.

  • Houston, TX has a couple of places where this happens also. It's quite a trip when you look in the mirror and see a couple of switcher engines pulling into the middle of the road.

  • This is the longest train ive ever saw... how long is it?

  • How odd... U guys have trains that run down your streets??? Crazy!

  • Our light rail runs down the middle of the street, but I have never seen a friehgt train in the street. Awesome video! The sound is amazing too.

  • Excellent! Loved it!

  • @fabriciorechy Thanks

  • Portland Western Mile Post 3.2, Train Speed 14 Miles Per Hour, No Defects No Defects, Detector Out.......

  • Thats some sick graffiti on the 1st 2 CN Grain Hopper

  • Thank You......not quite what we're used to seeing in U.K. !

  • Geez now i know three companys that use the same paint scheme (Orange Black)

P&W G&W B&P Buffalo and Pittsburgh which is by my house in Pittsburgh

  • maybe he sounded the horn a little to much

  • must make things interesting a bunch of cars on That side of the street and a train coming up behind them lol

  • Ok, now THAT is a colorful consist.

  • i hope they dont rip these rail up because of people bithcin about them its happend to alot of rails

  • wow thats one big train.. never seen one with 6 engines... maybe 4

  • @angelgirl7473 That is the most engines I have seem on this line

  • Great video. I love watching trains take over city streets. I hope the clown in the truck at the end was turning left somewhere cause otherwise, he was a jackass. He had plenty of room to travel along side the train, even with the trailer. Or, he could have pulled partially into the grass and gotten out of the way of the people behind him.

  • @kyla2112 Thanks

  • not too rare. Not here anyway. I live near these tracks (down the line), and they run on them all the time. I did volunteer work at the mission warehouse. And they ran nearly every day that i was there.

  • I love street running, thank you for the video.

  • If that train derailed, there would be major repairs needed.

  • what great video thats is cool seing train come up a street ansted across the street

  • man thats nothing we had NS and CSX running down the streets in downtown Augusta,GA everyday.

  • omg its endless lol

    Great video thank u :P

  • This is about as bad as bicyclists sharing the road with cars on a Freeway.

  • Amazing how they could roll through the middle of a street and never hit anyone, yet they could have a fully gated crossing and people would get hit there.

  • @AmtrakFlorida Haha so, so true....

  • @AmtrakFlorida Probably because once it's on the road, it's easy to see and behaves like an 18-wheeler. Then again, I've heard of a lot of American drivers running red lights at normal traffic junctions too - when it involves a train it's basically Darwinism in action.

  • who decided that train tracks would be perfect in the middle of main street lol.

  • @lolmock25 Well, they needed to run tracks through there. there was already a street, so..... Plus those tracks, and the road, have been there for nearly (if not over) 100 years. I'm sure they didn't foresee the advent of the car, or the traffic nightmares that such a system would cause. I think it's awesome!

  • awesome!

  • WOW that's cool. I like trains in the streets b/c it makes drivers filp out sometimes. 10/10 awesome!!!

  • That's a good mom... stopping and letting her son watch the train!

  • any1 know how long rather how many cars there were?

  • this sure is different ive never seen a video like this with train going through the middle of a street like this.sure interesting to watch... good work ervans

  • Bizarre, unique, a great catch, and great videography. Good job!

  • Thank you

  • WOW that huge train sure made a traffic jam do they got special lights for event's like this through town.

  • No, and what you didn't see in the video was it stopped for a few min. at the end, and made people wait even longer.

  • @ervans i wonder why this town lets a train go through it i sure there always complains about this.

  • Si no me he equivocado, lleva 108 vagones, nada mal para un tren que atraviesa un pueblo.

Espero que los atascos que provoque no sean enormes :)

  • When the train is that long it does cause a traffic jam.

  • that is a stupid idea to put a rail road in the center of the road!awesome video!

  • the conductor checks out the chick opening the door of the car lol!!

  • You could be right

  • Ahh....I remember those days.

Should have stayed there with CSX.

I would be retiring this year.

  • That's something you don't see everyday, a train going down the street.

  • @rts9100 I've seen it before, in Oakland, CA...it's something to see, esp since the station is at the end of the street, and it's a main beachside commercial strip too!

  • Well, damn!!!

  • that is crazy but, again it's America after all

  • is this really in America???? I've never seen train tracks set up like that

  • Yes, Salem, Oregon

  • @90camryV6 go to an industrial area and you'll see tracks running down streets, i have some like this not far from my house. not nearly as long a run with the street though, just a few hundred feet.

  • Thanks for the comment

  • Dayum! I've never seen anything like that before...doesn't seem like the safest place to run a train through :/
