The greatest "all-around" return man in ND history is none other than Allen Rossum. And he gets nothing in this vid? I'll check part 2 but that seems like a huge miss. Broke the all-time NCAA record for collective returns (Punt, Kick, Ints). Once owned by Utah's Errol Tucker (fam friend actually). Gotta get Rossum in the next one.
If I could add to this I would put Terry Brennan against 1947 Army, Ricky Watters against 1988 Michigan, Terrell Lambert against 2006 Michigan State, and Armando Allen against 2008 Hawaii. Perhaps in another video...
@IrishRoo12 You know, the longest int return was Jack Elder against Army back in the 20's if memory serves. I think I saw a vid of it on Utube and I may be wrong on the veracity, but I was pretty sure that it was 100 yard return. Luther's was a tad less than that, but please correct me if I'm wrong....
All of Notre Dame's best returns came against the state of Michigan. Brown's back-to-back punt returns against MSU and then Rocket's two kick returns against the Wolverines.
The flag on the return against Stanford was pure bullshit! The refs didn't want a repeat of the 82 Cal game so they took it upon themselves to throw a flag. Thanks for including it, it was a great return.
@ripperduck tue but he's more famous for the 2 kick returns he had against michigan. also if michael floyd burns up usc this upcoming year i'd forever call him the usc killer.
@NDandColtsMan Nah man, Vince Young is the USC killer. Officially. I really wish Notre Dame would have been the first to knock them off, though. I was at the 2005 game...
@IrishRoo12 there's been plenty of usc killers other than vince young. lamichael james ran all over usc last year at the coliseum. reggie brooks in 1992 ran all over em at the coliseum too... tim brown did some damage too em as well. if michael floyd burns usc pretty bad this year i'm considering him the usc killer... thats just me.
win or lose we love ND

Looks like Tim Brown could've benefited from a better pair of spikes.

@ripperduck fuck those refs and they're fake-ass flags! i really wish u could challenge for a penaltys.

@NDandColtsMan Agreed. The worst was the phantom clip against Rocket's return. That cost us a defeat of the #1 team in the country.

@IrishRoo12 they should call rocket the michigan killer.

@NDandColtsMan There is nothing more evil than SC. If Floyd et al can tear them up em up they should name the stadium after them.

@ripperduck or just call usc the team that michael floyd burned. lol
