@leos4life21 I used to have a low pile, each to clean, cheap rug on the floor beneath their play area. Now I just have a cheap 6'x9' sheet of vinyl flooring laid on top of the hardwoods beneath their play area. It's really easy to wip poop off of. You just take five minutes and wipe it up each day.
does anyone know if there are any pionus breeders in australia? i was hoping to get a pi in a few years, but there dont seem to be any breeders around! :(
Awesome room, but what I wanna know is outside of cages (say in bird rooms) do they just drop poop everywhere? Or do they only go back in cage. Ive heard cockatiels poop every 10-15 minutes. But in general if you have a bird room, no matter what kind of bird, are they pooping everywhere?
Oh wow, all those toys. My mouth dropped open when you said '' extra toys '' A birds heaven! My budgies would LOVE it but would maybe even get lost in there! Can't stop saying wow... My budgies live in my small room with one jungle gym.
( Im planning on getting another jungle gym. ) GREAT video!
hi im 23 with two children. a hubby 6 outdoor cats and 2 inside and one that goes in and out .. i also have 2 parakeets! one, whom thinks he is a bell. and the other female, im looking at getting a canary and actually a FEW more parakeets! oh the music they make is beautiful. i envy u.
That's wonderful! I'm sure the budgies will enjoy it!
Some vets recommend keeping the humidity for birds at least at 50%. Some say it should at least be 60%, but 60% also seems to be the magic percentage where mildew can start to grow. I try to keep mine around 50%. It helps their respiratory systems.
Let's just say I buy a lot of Poop Off! lol! The carpet is actually just a cheap $40 rug from Lowe's (or Home Depot, I can't remember which). So, it is kind of a giant drop cloth that gets spot cleaned twice a week. LOL!
Thanks for showing your room. I'm trying to decide how to do mine and this really helped!

Absolutely fantastic bird room. I'm impressed. You have a fortune in bird cages. Beautiful. I even like the wine glass.

OK, so with all those perching opportunities, what do you do about the floor? Poop doesn't make a lovely carpet protectant. :)
