GREAT VIDEO!!!! I just saw them about a month ago for the first time and was truly amazed with Lawrence! I've always been a Styx/Tommy Shaw fan but what a show man Lawrence is. He knows how to work a crowd and I loved his vocals! I am a new fan of his for sure!!! Glad I found you on YouTube and really look forward to checking out all your other videos and learning more about the man himself! Thanks for all your hard work! Can't wait to see Styx again, hopefully soon!

Why do people that film concerts never pan to whoever is doing the solo? I don't need to see this guy dancing around when the guitar solo is being played!

I shot Gowan exclusively because this is GOWANWORLD, a channel devoted to Lawrence. I've gotten so much footage of him now, though, I have begun to pan to the other guys more...see my Atlanta 2008 videos, and my Crystal Ball video featuring Tommy Shaw, one of my best! I have to be careful, though, when he sees me shooting Tommy instead of him, he gets his feelings hurt. I'm afraid I spoiled him a little!

When you pan to others next time try to get Jy on solo at the 4 minute mark or so. When he steps in there it is a great change of pace solo. By the way you might be happy to know I got a styx frisby that was launced with Gowans hockey stick a couple of months back. I had hoped he would toss the stick since Hocky sticks are a little rare in north Texas. lol

You know I don't really get the constant downing of Gowan. No he doesn't have the incrdible pipes DY has. Few do. But it's hard to point to anyone who works harder to entertain the crowd and put on a good show than he does, not to mention the simple ego differences in the two. Just like other front men who have been replaced, I prefer the ones who are working rather than those who claim they are better. Take care

Great job. The singer was right on it with the vocals and keyboard, sounds a lot like D. DeYoung. The bass was great; the guitar needed a little more volume. Crash cymbals were too loud at times(at least at the camcorder). But it's hard to get a good studio sound mix recording on a hand held camcorder. All in all, very well done!

Yes, you are so right, it was so great to get it all three nights!! He loves getting his pic/video taken, and made a special effort to give me some great, um, "views" of him(see Midnight Ride). He gave me some special attention/interaction as well...quite a weekend!!!
