You're right Alex - Earth will be fine. Evidence in the geological record shows that Earth has experienced severe climate change before and has always returned to a stable environment. Unfortunately, the planet takes thousands of years to do so and incurs mass extinctions along the way. Individual actions won't change the current situation. But individual action is necessary in that it motivates others to change their habits. Only our collective effort can affect change on a global scale.

Sorry Daniel, Thats tornados. Hurricanes are formed over warm ocean. AS water in ocean gets hotter, Hurricanes become more powerful and last longer. Tropopause is lower at higher lattitudes.
