So here I am in Flag now . I am from San Diego California , I been here 1 month now . Had just a tickle of snow if you can even call it that . But soon though ...
Ive been trying to find out myself since Im planning on moving there next year. highs in the winter are usually in the upper 30s to mid 40s. The nights are throughout the entire year considerably lower. And its also one of the snowiest cities in America. But the snow doesnt usually stick around long. thats what ive read about it so far.
Flagstaff has an annual snowfall of about 100 inches, compared to Boston's 41. December through March, Boston's average temperature is about 32 degrees, while Flag's Dec-Mar avg temp is 31. The temperatures are comparable, but the snowfall at 7000 feet is much higher.
I might go here but im so scared of the cold! Im from Cali and where i live it never snows and the temp is always around the 60's to 90's...just watching this vid scares me...
I'm going going to NAU this fall. I live in Hawaii and i want some place cold for a change. Its nice to hear that flagstaff is getting a lot of snow. Guess Ill have to hang my surfboard up and get a snowboard hahaha
I am a junior here at NAU and it has snowed every year since i have been here...but last year was the best...I mean look at the video..LOL..its suppose to be even better this year...SNOW BOWL HERE I COME!!!!
Dont worry your not the only Person to think arizona is all desert...if you ever look at a physical map of arizona you will see that the southern part of arizona is desert while the northern part is actually forest and mountain terrain...here in flagstaff we are 7000 feet above sea level so pretty much when it rains it snows..the temp are fantastic here year around V.S being down in southern arizona (desert) where they avg 120 degree temps..u should come visit sometime and ski/snowboard..
you sound like you know a lot about NAU... Im thinking of going there but the nau site doesnt provide much info.... could you please give me some more info besides the fact that it is beautiful and it snows?
ya i know the website does not provide a lot of information...mainly because its oriented for students that are attending already...everything here at NAU is online..from coursework to assignment...what kind of information are you trying to obtain?
well... I'm not quite sure... What is the student life like? what do students do for fun? What kind of proffesors teach (great or borring)? um... Is NAU considered a "good" school? I'm all new to this:) and I'm from AK and havent traveled much so I don't really know what to look for.
im from Iowa Thinkin bout goin here or maybe ASU not sure bout all the snow tho haha. How cold does it usually get there

I live in Flag! When it is snowing it is cold. Once the sun comes out it warms up quick. I'm from Vegas and I love it.
