  • you are great!!! where you the 5th member of the Stones !?!

  • Thanks kidzsanlorenzo,

I just luv the Stones,my era, i live about 3o miles from where the Beatles lived.

When i was about 16 i was working on a building site, my mates pulled up in a transit, i shouted where you goin' they said Strawberry Fields are you coming.

I gave a finger to the forman and went visiting all the Beatles sites.

    An unforgetable day.

Sometimes it's just good to go with your instinct.

    All the best, Trev

  • thanks that's a great story! today art seems to be only about business and less about being creative... instead you seem to be a cool down to earth creative person and also talented! keep up the good work, cheers from Italy :)

plus love I the Beatles too!! Get Back !!

  • your works and your words are very inspirational, its great to be able to substain ourselves with our art and be indipendent! its not easy for traditional painters nowdays..

dont worry about the studio, your skills show its all about hard work the lounge is good enough haha! hopefully that'll bring you the recognition you deserve,

best of luck on your dvd's and keep up the great work! :)

  • Thanks razielze,

It's really nice to get positive feedback,

I wish you all the best, Trev

  • Hi, your right my paintings do look one dimensional, however only portraits do...natural art and scenes look fine...how do you blend without losing the tones?

  • Stop putting yourself down! The skill you have and the kindness of sharing it with the world is admirable.

Yes there is a lot of snobbery in Art as in music but, in some ways if it encourages education and inspiration it's ok, so long as elitism doesn't result.

Your attire (dress style) adds well to your artistry. 'Artistic Tramp'! that's well funny!

    5 stars

  • Hi Topoginuk,

Thank you for the kind words, you are totally right ANYTHING that encourages people to take up this fantastic hobby has to be good. i adore art and i love teaching.

Sometimes when i see a beautiful painting by a Master i start to cry,(should i admit that) when a painting evokes that much emotion "that's really powerful stuff"

    All the best,Trev

  • Trev, your knowledge of art shows through well and, indicates a much trial and error history, with the good experiences showing through in your work and talk. I look forward to seeing more of your work and benefiting from your knowledge.

Your explaination of fat-over-lean was very good and it's an area that confuses people.

I know that depth of a portrait from a photo can lack due to the mono(1)cular picture whereas we have bi(2)nocular vision and so see round the corner for a bit of depth!

  • Hi Robert,

First, thank you so much for taking the time to post a comment, to recieve emails like yours is very encouraging.

When i first thought about making Learn to oil paint dvds, i was rather dubious as i am not very articulate ( i don't speak the Queens english and at times been severly critisised) but i do like to teach, so with me you get the bare bones.

I guess i'm just an artistic tramp.

    Seriously thank you kindly.

    Goldrings on you, Trev
