Damn! Now I really wish I had some Marlin Flake in the house. Got plenty of OGS. I've been wanting to pick up that blend and a couple of other Rattray's any way so next order me thinks.
I really love that classic shape its awesome. I can say that I dont think that will be happening for me. I just dont smoke enough virginias, of course I both those baccies in the celler and I have no urge to crack them open.
@Daftlilly1 Well I admire your willpower. I keep telling myself I am going to cellar some Marlin Flake to see how much better it might get with age but that only ever lasts until the current tin runs out. I'm gonna need to buy 30 tins at once if I ever hope to cellar any. Damnit.
Well my friend i happen to have a tin of orlik and marlin flake on my desk right now as they are two are my regulars also... You have convinced me!! I'll get on blending the two immediately and will let you know what i think. :) Also, i've had great success blending highland cigar's black gold and westminster (abingdon works nicely too). I must say it was quite delicious. Imagine a sweet smoky chocolate browny with a thick creamy bite-less smoke... :)
@dagonet1889 Hear me now, love me later. That blend of your sounds delicious. Black Gold is on my list to try but I haven't made it to it quite yet. Noted though.

I've never had Marlin flake. I'll have to add it to the "gotta try" list. And then try your mix
Only blend I've done is Billy Bud (40%) and 1Q (60%) and created BillyQ which was pretty good.
I hope we get to hear more from ya in the new year.

Billy Budd never worked for me so I might pass on the particular mix but it definitely sounds interesting.
