"Manufacturing of LEGO bricks occurs at a number of locations around the world. Molding is done at one of two plants in Denmark and Switzerland. Brick decorations and packaging is done at plants in Denmark, Switzerland, United States, South Korea, the Czech Republic and more recently, China. Annual production of LEGO bricks averages approximately 20 billion (2 × 1010) per year, or about 600 pieces per second." No Lego Bricks are made in China.
@70happypup Those are all really cool facts, and thanks for sharing them. But what is the definition of a brick? Do you consider a base plate to be a brick? And do you also know that more and more pieces are being made in China and Mexico every year? And do you also know that LEGO is VERY secretive about how much profits they make, and why smaller countries pay more for their LEGO sets to help offset the lower prices that LEGO charges in the United States?
@BeanMeister22 ultimate factories Lego, is a great documentary about the manufacturing process of Legos. as for what is produced in China, some minifigures and specialty heads are made in china, some electronic components are made in china however Lego works very hard to protect their molds. no plates, bricks or other basic elements are made outside of their two main manufacturing plants.
I don't like this new chinese made lego. The plastic is CRAP, and lego knows it. Old danish, german and US made lego needs to come back, where it lasted over 20 years without even fading if properly cared for
@mi16t I agree, but as sad as it sounds, the truth is that more and more things are being made in places like China, and why should LEGO be any different? I guess one of the biggest problems is, that while they are using cheap labor and plastic for more and more of their pieces, why should they continue to charge top dollar to kids?
I buy plenty of Chinese made bricks sets from other companies, and although the quality may be less than LEGO, so is the price of those sets.
@Kopeke675649 Yes, I agree. But EVERY piece that comes in a box of LEGO, is LEGO. So even if not a single brick is made in China, it does not make a difference. LEGO is more than just a brick, it's a set of many things (including bricks) that we use to build an item, or create our own item.
I took my shoe off the other day and I had a tattoo that said components made in Denmark, Hungary ,China,Mexico ,Germany, austria and the czech republic
To everyone who is reading this, I think this man is out of this mind personally by the way he is speaking. LEGO is a Danish company and it's Headquarters is in Denmark. It is made in many countries, the Majority being European and then Mexico, and then specialized part's are Made in China. The only part's made in China are the specialized part's which don't seem to be bad quality at all. Most companies now are ONLY Made in China. So it's a big fuss over nothing.
@AmazingGalaxy You are clearly ignorant of the main issue here. Yes, many other companies make all of their parts in China, but they charge a lot less for their product. LEGO on the other hand, charges a premium price, and it no longer contains only premium parts. LEGO is priced too high for the current brick market, and the argument that they are top quality is gone, since they now are using some parts made in Mexico and China.
@BeanMeister22 You just done get it do you?. Why won't you listen. LEGO Hasn't dropped in Quality I have researched this so much it's not funny. It is the 4th Largest Toy Company in the World. The Price's are not even High I see people buying LEGO everywhere and it remains popular. LEGO's prices are normal to what other Toys are like. Mega Bloks is the same. Specialized parts are made in China and the Mexico LEGO is made in the Capital it is Quality thank you very much.
@BeanMeister22 If you check a lot of LEGO set's don't say Made in China, and even Mexico. Nearly all City Set's, Creator, General Building Set's, Dacta and even Licensed and other Themes don't say Made in China. However the Specialized Pieces are and people don't find the Quality to be inferior at all. So your worrying about nothing.
@AmazingGalaxy If you don’t know the whole story, I can see how you would think that there is not a problem with the Chinese LEGO sets. So here’s the whole story: I started seeing videos and hearing complaints about certain LEGO pieces breaking; such as minifig hands. Until recently, I NEVER heard of this problem before. So that got me looking around, and I learned that many minifigs are now made in China.
Broken hands, and new minifigs made in China; it’s clear as day.
The big fuss is this Danish company having to slowly do what every other major toy producer is doing, go to China. Sure, it's only a small number of specialized parts and minifigs, but it's a worrying thought. Not to mention what with counterfeit Lego like Enlighten, siding with the "enemy" is not a great idea.
Why can't specialized parts be made in Mexico, where the plastic quality is good?
@LordDavid04 Sadly there is no real competition with LEGO, maybe if there was, LEGO would not have anything made in China. However thankfully it is just a few Specialized Part's in only some set's. The majority of set's are still wonderful Quality. Unlike some companies which have just gave up.
If Legos are made in china then why are they still damned expensive. I paid 34 bucks for a lego creationary (Like Pictionary but with legos) game with 300 pieces. And why destroy the DV cam at the end, what was wrong with it?
@coondogtheman1234 LEGO is so expensive because in the past they had a near monopoly in the building brick market, and they could charge ANY price they wanted. They use various forms of seductive marketing to kids, which makes them believe that if they can’t afford LEGO, they are not as good as the kids who can. The proof of this, is reading the comments left on this video by brainwashed LEGO kids.
And I have new cameras now, I upgraded my video equipment.
@BeanMeister22 Your getting it wrong. Listen, please. All LEGO Pieces are made in Denmark, Hungary, Mexico or the Czech Republic and other European Countries like Austria, UK, Germany, Sweden etc. Specialized Pieces like a very complex Hat. The reason these specialized part's are made in China is because LEGO would loose money if they made it in a Europe Factory and it didn't sell as well. So the Chinese Version is still great Quality too, but it's cheaper.
@BrickTVEntertainment Yes, the majority of the parts are still made in Europe, but times are changing. It used to be that ALL of the parts were made in Europe, now it’s just most of the parts. Someday it will be the other way around; most of the parts will be made in China, and only a few will be made in Europe. The main problem with all this is; LEGO still charges top dollar, even though they are now using cheaper parts. If they want to use cheaper parts, then they need to reduce their prices.
@BeanMeister22 What is your problem?. Why are you hating on LEGO and trying to make it sound like it's crap and poor Quality. You want it too be made in China and be really cheap, then what would you do, would you win?. LEGO will always be made solemnly in Denmark. The MAJORITY 95% is made there it's the Headquarters, and some specialized part's are made in China. The Cost may be a tad high but people still buy it and I would pay high for better quality.
@14warr China isn’t stealing the money, LEGO is when they charge us top dollar for Chinese made parts. If you have seen some of my other LEGO videos, you will see that I also buy a lot of Chinese made Enlighten and Banbao sets. But since they are a lot less expensive than LEGO sets, the lower quality Chinese plastic is not much of an issue; I’m willing to accept a slightly lower quality, for a lot less money.
@superlegoman64 That’s a cool set, I’m thinking about buying it. The specialty sets such as the Architecture sets, probably have no Chinese pieces in them. You will also notice that both the Falling Water House, and the Robie House sets, are very high priced for their size. I’m a big fan of Frank Lloyd Wright, but I just can’t bring myself to pay $200 plus shipping charges, so I can have a LEGO version of the Robie House.
@superlegoman64 Sets like that have very little appeal to the average kid, so they make fewer of them, and charge a higher price because adults are more likely to buy them. As for the piece count, I rarely consider piece count as a price factor; I think the size and function of the completed set is a better gauge of value. Many sets will have a high piece count simply because they have a lot of tiny pieces. The Tower Bridge has 4287 pcs, and cost $239, compared to Robie's 2276 pcs and $200.
@BeanMeister22 That is true. I recommend you get the set if you have the spare money, since you like the works of Frank Lloyd Wright. Its a pretty big set, being around 10 inches wide.
@filing12 I didn't say it was only made in China. This video is a response to all of those claims that LEGO is not EVER made in China, and that is why LEGO costs so much. LEGO is made in a lot of places...including China.
I wish I could find more information about LEGO's Supply Chain and Logistics. It is very difficult to find decent information! :( (Like Basic transportation/warehousing system used, 3rd party types used in the distribution system, and retail or B2B intensity) All I could find is how LEGOs are made. But not the SCM side of it. Why is SCM information so difficult to find!?!?
What I got out of this video? Where LEGO's components in... -_-
@MAT0R0 Since LEGO is a privately held company, I believe that it is not subject to the same public reporting requirements as a publically traded corporation. So that might explain that lack of information. Also, in every interview I've read, the LEGO representative steers clear of any questions regarding price or manufacturing cost, and glosses over the answers to the manufacturing questions. LEGO tends to be VERY secretive in many aspects of their company.
@BeanMeister22 Did you know that you only chose set's with Specialized Parts. The only part's Made in China from LEGO are the Specialized Part's that are actually not bad quality at all, and people also agree. I don't see a drop in Quality at all. You should be happy LEGO is still made in Denmark, Hungary, Germany, Sweden, Austria, Mexico etc... because most things are only made in China now. And it's still managing to be excellent quality. :)
@SentineIPrime I used sets that I own for this video, and if they have specialty parts, maybe that is because most new LEGO sets do have specialty parts.
LEGO is made in many countries, and it is no secret that Chinese plastic is of a lower quality. Is the quality good enough? For the most part, yes. But people who defend the high cost of LEGO, by saying it costs so much because it is not made in China, are wrong, or they are just lying.
@BeanMeister22 I just want to be civil with you because I understand where your going with this now :). However you must know that the only part's made in China are some Specialized Pieces, and to be honest there actually good Quality otherwise you, yourself wouldn't have bought it?. LEGO is expensive yes, but everyone still buys it. The reason it's so expensive it because the actual Pieces are Danish Quality and the materials all involved cost a lot too, to make the LEGO.
@AmazingGalaxy High quality can not be guaranteed in Chinese factories; and there are hundreds of American dogs and cats who are dead because of tainted Chinese protein used in major brand pet foods. China also has a problem with lead in toys and most recently high sulfur levels in sheetrock. Regardless of the quality of the company as a whole, LEGO cannot guarantee quality in its Chinese factories; no company can.
@BeanMeister22 Your absolutely right. And it's sad to see many Toy Companies switching to poor Quality Control. LEGO however being the 4th Largest Toy Company and with a net value of $9 Billion is perfectly under control. The Specialized Pieces are made with care because LEGO specifically makes sure that it is to there specifications and standards. Otherwise no one would be buying them. And trust me Hundreds of Millions of people still buy them more than ever before.
@BeanMeister22 Also what you have to understand is LEGO has the means to produce these Bricks with Quality too and have a small minority of elements made in China under there specifications. The Main Headquarters Factory in Denmark has Made in Germany State of the Art Molding Machines that are precise to 0.0001 mm. They have there own exclusive granules for their plastic sourced from Italy, Netherlands and Germany only for LEGO, and there robotic technology as-well.
@BeanMeister22 Also your comparing LEGO the 4th Largest and most popular Toy Company to a common country Pet Brand, big difference. I can name so many LEGO set's, even the ones today that don't say China or even Mexico if you want to go that far. But please I don't want to argue anymore, it's a new year a fresh start I just wanted to let you know that none of your facts are right and your completely wrong.
@AmazingGalaxy Once again you stop by to troll this video, and once again you are without a clue, and without facts; and you dare to question my facts? And yes, my facts are facts, which means they are correct and true, and your statements are just tripe from the mouth of someone who wishes he was part of something bigger, and therefore has taken up the fight to defend the indefensible actions of LEGO. Did you hear that LEGO is coming out with a GI Joe series?
@BeanMeister22 I actually can't believe your Human. I have never ever in my life seen someone talk so crazy, you talk like your a conspiracy theorist. You have no fact's, you stopped talking when I gave you the proper fact of the Illegal Shipment from a real source and you always stop talking because you know I'm right I feel sorry for you because I can move on with my life, but you seem to think LEGO is solemnly made in China and you seem to want to prove it to the world move on!
@BeanMeister22 Oh I get it! :), So that's the only reason why your arguing is because of those people who defend the cost of LEGO, you still love LEGO and think the Quality is great it's just that reason that makes you angry, well then that's fine. I guess it's so expensive because the actual pieces are made in Denmark, although there are a lot of sales and deals and the majority of people don't mind and still buy it anyway so I wouldn't worry about it :)
just to clarify your youtube video , is Lego made in China. yes you are correct on all except one. the Lego sort n store head is Licensed to an Australian owned business and distribute it throughout the world using distributors , so this item is not made by Lego. But yet it is made in China with the same ABS plastics per Lego standards.
@maxant2005 No actually LEGO is made in Europe and Mexico. Denmark, Hungary and Mexico, some Pieces are made in China, and it has Customer Services around the World, that 1 being in Aus.
First off let me say that I buy a lot of bricks sets directly from Hong Kong, and I find the quality to be sufficient for the price they charge. But in the case of LEGO which has the highest prices in the brick world, and the highest quality, their increased use of Chinese made parts is starting to negatively affect their quality. Lower quality, but for the same high price. Also, many LEGO Tubers keep saying that LEGO costs so much because it is not made in China; which is wrong.
@BeanMeister22 I'm sorry but you are wrong!. LEGO is so Popular that is was named Toy of the Century TWICE!, It has 46 of it's own stores!, Video Games! that have sold 100's of Millions of copy's, Quality State of the Art Machines and Plastic Granules made in Germany, Italy and Netherlands. Internet, Art, Books, Movies it's a lot better, and has been around since 1949 (Plastic Bricks), and LEGO has been around since 1890. Enlighten can never beat LEGO and all of its 1000's of themes!
@AmazingGalaxy Yes, Enlighten will never beat LEGO in quality, but they beat them everyday in price and value. There are many kids around the world, who cannot afford the high prices that LEGO asks, so Enlighten is a low cost alternative. Also, the competition from knock-off companies like Enlighten and BanBao, keeps LEGO striving to make better and more interesting sets.
@BeanMeister22 Also what do you mean Mexico. The LEGO Mexico Factory is located in Monterrey Mexico, Mexico's Capital, it's a very Quality Company, nothing of what China makes. Also the Quality Control at the very few pieces made in China is excellent. Notice though that many of the set's had molded pieces that can be made cheaper, but still have the same Quality. All the Bricks and other pieces are still made in Denmark and Hungary, Austria, Sweden etc.
Mexico and China are known for having lower quality plastics. So if the exact formula is the same, then this reduction in quality must come from the manufacturing procedures themselves. Also, since you are stumping for LEGO here, you need to look into all of the recent complaints about mini-fig hands breaking. The hands are made in China, and before that, I NEVER heard of ANY LEGO pieces breaking like they do now.
@BeanMeister22 Incorrect. My Grandfather has worked at DK-7190 Billund Denmark, and is constantly asked by me, questions about LEGO's status. LEGO Mini-fig's hands are not Made in China, though some Mini-Figs are, you can always tell from a label code, and very few are I will add. Mexico doesn't have lower Quality because it is actually a proper Factory, Denmark, Hungary, Mexico, Czech Republic being the 4, The Minor Chinese LEGO isn't made in a LEGO Factory.
@AmazingGalaxy If that is true, then why are the LEGO mini fig hands more prone to breaking now, than in the past? If you are not awhare of this issue, it is being reported by several LEGO channels here on YouTube.
@BeanMeister22 The Issue I'am well aware off, and a small minority of people were experiencing it. LEGO test's there products in Temperature Control's, were they leave the bricks out in the sun to see breakage and dis-coloration, also breakage test's and strength and durability. The Mini-Figs hands that are breaking are the ones made in China, like the Collectable Mini-Figs, because it would cost to much to make them in Denmark, other than those few, the rest are perfect as usual.
@muffdriver69 I agree, especially since they offer a lot of stuff that LEGO does not. And that also goes for Banbao and Ligao too. I recently ordered the aircraft carrier from Banbao, and I look forward to putting it together. All these bricks are good enough quality to play with, but when compared to LEGO there is a noticeable difference in the plastic that they are made of; it's a slightly lower grade. But LEGO cannot keep charging high prices while they offer a lower quality product.
So far, only certain pieces are made of the lower quality plastic, but that could change any day. I've heard several reports of the hands breaking on newer LEGO mini figs; the hands are made in China. In addition to LEGO sets, I buy a lot of Chinese sets from Hong Kong, and the plastic is a little bit lower quality, but it is good enough when you consider how much less they cost than LEGO, and how many cool sets they make, that LEGO won't make.
@BeanMeister22 I do think those chinas brand of lego looks good, but I read a story online where a mother bought a chinese set thinking it was lego and she gave it to her kids, when she came to check up on them some how the plastic colouring had come off and was all over the childern hands.. etc. so I dont know if chinas all that good. or that the set that lady got was an unknown chinese brand that know ones ever heard off. Anyway, good video, I hope lego is dealing with a good company in china.
@BeanMeister22 NO!, LEGO is and always will be Quality!, Stop with this please!, Basically all Toys need 1 source from China because it's a lot cheaper. LEGO only does it with some Pieces and Part's but they are monitored!, and it is very few!, Please stop bashing on LEGO and saying it's Quality is going down! Please! :(
@foxcodyrex I believe you, but what countries does it list? I ask this because I've heard from some people that the boxes in other countries can be slightly different than the boxes in the US. Such as many sets don't have the piece count listed on the box; in the US all the sets have the piece count of the box.
@worlddominationful Any country is capable of making quality products, including China. But there are a couple of important points you are missing here. The first is that the Chinese made plastic they use, is of a lower quality, and it is different enough that you can see and feel the difference. But probably the most important point, is that LEGO is very expensive, and people defend the high prices by saying that LEGO costs more because it is not made in China, but that is not the case.
@BeanMeister22 I suppose you're right, but I probably don't have any lego not from China, because I can't see, feel the difference, however, I do know that there are horrible brick products from China and the quality of those things compared to lego products are still have such a big disparity, which is what I find pretty comforting :)
@TheLegoreviewer101 Here are the Brickarms reviews that I already have filmed, but still need to be edited and uploaded: Sci-Fi Slam Weapons Pack Medkit Pack Cobalt Weapons Pack Best Zombie Fighting Weapons review Mystery Pack Vol #1 review Shaun UK Zombie Fighter review #2 Brickarms helmets for minifigs Chrome Cricket Bats Minigun review #2 Desert Camo Weapons Pack review #2 Spy Pack review #2
@Nightshroud99 Thanks, I was very surprised to see how many of my sets had Chinese made parts in them. And even though that Chinese made plastic is of a lower quality, I wouldn't mind so much if LEGO would lower the price on those lower quality sets.
@bobdolel00d7s I'm not sure why you are watching, do you care about lower quality Chinese parts that are now included in LEGO sets? If you wonder about who cares, consider this: LEGO makes toys that EVERY kid wants, but they're priced so high that many kids cannot afford them. LEGO has always said that they charge so much because their toys are top quality and NOT made in China, but that is no longer the case...except that they still charge top dollar, for what is no longer top quality items.
@BeanMeister22 right i know but still...its just Legos..ya know? for me personally i just feel there might be more important things than this. no offense to you or your video of course. also im pretty sure most large corporations/companies have some sort of corruption going on ya know its all about money to all of them. and i mean like 99% are corrupt <-------- i made that statistic up. so why just pick on LEGO? i dont mean to pick on you maybe i just shouldnt have commented to begin with..
@bobdolel00d7s You're right, it's just LEGO and a reduction in quality is no big deal, except that LEGO charges 3 to 10 times more than other brick companies do, and they make kids believe that they are losers if they buy non-LEGO brick toys. And they're not a big corporation, they're a family business that's been successful enough to become the biggest toy brick company in the world. Making a profit is not corrupt; big companies put ads here on U-Tube which pays for us to view videos for free.
I think lot's of these Chinese plastic made the sets more expensive. Especially the licensed themes are much more overpriced. For example the new Ewok Attack and the new Sith Nightspeeder sets are 30.00 € in Germany. :-(
What I think it's interesting about this that these sets have the same size of the box of the Imperial V-wing which was 5 Euros cheaper. I also think the Euro crisis is also a reason why the LEGO sets are getting more expensive. :-(

@2010daigo1 Here is the big question: if LEGO made in China is of a lower quality plastic that breaks more easily, are you still happy with it? If so, then what is wrong with buying something like a MegaBloks Halo sets that is almost the same quality as LEGO and costs a lot less, but is also made in China of this exact same plastic?
Well i thing the componends you speak about could be:
The Box, or the Plasticbags, or the Building Instructions. And allthough the simpli Bricks made in China and so. But the other Bricks, especialy the special Bricks are made in the EU, Danmark, or Germany. And my opinion is: will we buy more an more not original Legos, the Brickmader in Danmark will be get down. For my parts i allways buy the original Legos. Not an Enlighten, or Megablock, or Sluban, or Ministeck Bricks.
@GaldorCiryatan There is nothing wrong with buying only LEGO, but when you do that you are limiting yourself, and you may find that you are missing out of some pretty cool sets.
Are you not concerned that the LEGO pieces made in China and Mexico are not made from the same high quality base stocks as LEGO made in Europe?
Well, i see in the last years the quality of Lego Bricks is step by step goin down. I call the Technic Bricks. They are getting more and more simply, when i build a fun fair, i need more pins to fix them. The old Bricks where more suitable for building grant Karussells. I see it allthough at the simply Bricks. New colours, plastic within nor higher binding force. The plastic is getting thiner than the older bricks.

Just because something is made in China, doesn't mean it's bad. I'd much rather have my Lego made by intelligent workers in China than some idiots from America who don't know what they're doing.
It doesn't matter where it's from, all that matters is how it's made.
@leokimvideo Enlighten has raised the price of many of their train items from $9.99 up to $12.99. The prices are already starting to rise, but even with a 30% increase, it is still a bargain.
Lego bricks are made out of granulated acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), which is unique as a plastic because it is shiny. ABS is used to make a lot of different materials, from hard hats to a wide variety of toys.
@leokimvideo I've starting buying overseas - only bought a couple of sets in Oz. I'm not too fazed by our prices - perhaps it just seems we are getting ripped off because of the current strong dollar... once that goes down, Lego prices wont look like its too much of a rip.
i have lost count of tubers pointing out to me they feel the plastic quality is now not what it used to be, and heaps of tubers argue this is not a chinese made toy
i pay almost double the USA price for my lego, as far as i am concerned lego's little game is up, my dollar is now stronger then the USD so it stinks this company is ripping us off
@SecretTubeTips That never would have happened 5 years ago. It looks like they are being made from a different kind of plastic...maybe Chinese plastic :)
@SecretTubeTips yesturday i was trying to put a hand in an arm and the arm which is from the lego star wars manalorian pack completley shaddered and at first there was no cracks it was new and it shaddered
@BillsCreationsFan That's what I thought, because I don't remember seeing China on any of the older sets. And really in the big scheme of things, it's ok if they make some stuff in China because even with all the extra shipping costs, it is still a lot cheaper to make them over there. But they really should be passing on some of that savings to the customers especially when we can tell the difference in the plastic just by how it feels in our hands.
Interesting video - i am very surprised people think it is NOT made in China - everything is! Anyway - is it really put in the order of how much each country has contributed to the set? (its like the ingredients label on packaged food - whatever is used the most gets labeled first...) Just because it is made in China - doesn't mean it should cost less - there are other things to consider for the price of Lego (not just manufacturing) but the design of the Lego sets, licensing costs etc
@BrickFaceChannel Yes, there are other things to consider, such as why MegaBloks sets cost about 1/3 that of a comparable LEGO set? And how can Enlighten make near LEGO quality sets, and sell them for 1/5 the price of LEGO?
People are always telling me that LEGO makes nothing in China; they don't have a clue. And really, I can live with the lower grade plastic that comes from both China and Mexico, especially if they are priced right, and I buy a lot of Enlighten trains from Hong Kong.
Some minifigs are indeed made in china, like the collectable ones, magnets, and sometimes those give away thingys. Also most special molds for figs (like the heads from star wars) are made over there.
@jamesisgek I did not know that about the minifigs. That helps to explain why there are more reports of broken minifig hands. 10 years ago, I never heard of ANY LEGO piece breaking under normal playing conditions.
you're right but there's one thing, 2/3 of all bricks are made in denmark and I think it isn't that bad because LEGO bricks are still made with the same machines even in all the other countries. the bricks aren't less strong!
@JesseStoffels Yes, the brick machines are the same, but in a couple of countries they don't use they same type of plastic that LEGO uses in Denmark. And these same brick machines in China also make MegaBloks bricks and Enlighten bricks, and so on; same machines, but different plastic.
It's fine that bricks are made in China, but you might be surprised to see how many people say that no LEGO is ever made in China.
Comments seem to be vanishing from this comment section; some are mine, and some are from other people. So if your comment is gone, it was not me who deleted it.
@LNER4771 Yes they are spreading it around. But when they started having parts made in China and Mexico, and they used they lower quality plastic that comes from those two countries, rather than insist that those countries use the normal high quality plastic that LEGO always came in, then we are being played. We see the same higher prices that LEGO always had, but there's now a reduction in the quality of the parts we are getting. 5 years ago no one ever heard of a LEGO mini hand breaking.
i dont see how it makes a difference where it is made, it makes no sense arguing about where parts are made because they have been from the same places for a while, its lego that is making all of the "bad" decisions with all of the breaking parts, and come to think of it, i dont remember ever buying a lego set with breaking parts in the last ten years, let alone the little minifigure hands. overall whatever decreasing quality that is seen is mostly Lego's fault.
@goluigi2196 The only thing they could really not like about this is the message. In the YT LEGO world, LEGO fans are very protective of the LEGO company, I often get comments from people telling me the gave my video a thumbs down because they saw MegaBloks Halo in the background, or worse yet they saw one of my Enlighten trains on my LEGO railroad.
As you can see, this video is not doctored, it just shows the truth, and this truth goes against the belief that LEGO makes nothing in China.
No one really understands this whole argument. The only parts that LEGO makes in China are the Minifigures, small parts, and rubber parts. It is on the LEGO website.
@LegoLee329 That is not completely correct. There is usually a different look and feel to the lower grade plastic parts. And yes, some mini fig parts are most certainly being made of Chinese plastic, and that explains why the hands break more often now, than they did before. Do you have any LEGO trains? The plastic base pieces that is the platform for each car and engine now has a different feel to it, and I would bet that it is also made from Chinese or Mexican plastic.
@Legoman993 It does not have to be a bad thing that some LEGO parts come from China, I buy both MegaBloks Halo sets and Enlighten sets that all come from China. I guess we now want to know why LEGO still charges so much money for a product they say does not come from China?
@Legolord121 There is a way to buy that many Lego sets without going broke - usually its called a full time job. Or buy in bulk and sell the rest at a higher price and keep the profits to buy more lego sets. :D ...
I like to buy the big sets when they go on sale. Recently I bought 2 trains sets at ToysRUs; it was buy one, get one 1/2price. I saved $79 on the second set. I also like to buy from LEGO and use my VIP points to get free LEGO.
I don't like the idea of buying extra sets and selling them later on for a higher price. Basically when people do that, they are taking advantage of kids who are saving up their hard earned cash to buy LEGO.
Im Chinese and Im proud of it! So stop complaining about "cheap CHINESE plastic", you should just say "cheap quality plastic" because you're just discriminating the Chinese.
I don't care where you are from, so don't play that game with me! You know that we are not trying to offend people from China, or who currently live in China, so grow up. It's common knowledge that plastic that comes from both China and Mexico tends to be of a lower quality. And if you've seen some of my other videos, you know that I buy Enlighten sets directly from Hong Kong, so I'm not even against lower quality Chinese plastic, as long as it is for a lower price.
@BeanMeister22 i know, im not directing that comment to u, just to other people cuz ive seen reviews where the reviewer is ACTUALLY blaming the chinese, ill send u the video if i can find it :)
@BlockBusterStudios1 You and I both know, that if someone blames ANY single country or race for something that only a small group of people do, then that person is a moron, and we need to ignore him. And as I said before, I don't even really blame the Chinese plastic manufacturing industry, I blame LEGO for using the lower quality plastic, and still charging us the same price.
@BlockBusterStudios1 It's not discrimination againest the Chinese. If you disagree with me, tell how stating a fact that Chinese Lego plastic is lower quality is discrimination.
From Brickepedia,
"Manufacturing of LEGO bricks occurs at a number of locations around the world.
70happypup 6 days ago
@70happypup Those are all really cool facts, and thanks for sharing them. But what is the definition of a brick? Do you consider a base plate to be a brick? And do you also know that more and more pieces are being made in China and Mexico every year? And do you also know that LEGO is VERY secretive about how much profits they make, and why smaller countries pay more for their LEGO sets to help offset the lower prices that LEGO charges in the United States?
BeanMeister22 5 days ago
@BeanMeister22 ultimate factories Lego, is a great documentary about the manufacturing process of Legos. as for what is produced in China, some minifigures and specialty heads are made in china, some electronic components are made in china however Lego works very hard to protect their molds. no plates, bricks or other basic elements are made outside of their two main manufacturing plants.
70happypup 5 days ago
@BeanMeister22 also i just googled the profits for Lego last year they made 876 million pounds in profit.
70happypup 5 days ago
@BeanMeister22 just did another google search Lego's profit margin is 18% approximately while mega bloks is 43%

I don't like this new chinese made lego. The plastic is CRAP, and lego knows it. Old danish, german and US made lego needs to come back, where it lasted over 20 years without even fading if properly cared for
mi16t 2 weeks ago

AmazingGalaxy 2 months ago 6
@AmazingGalaxy You are clearly ignorant of the main issue here. Yes, many other companies make all of their parts in China, but they charge a lot less for their product. LEGO on the other hand, charges a premium price, and it no longer contains only premium parts. LEGO is priced too high for the current brick market, and the argument that they are top quality is gone, since they now are using some parts made in Mexico and China.
BeanMeister22 2 months ago
@BeanMeister22 You just done get it do you?. Why won't you listen. LEGO Hasn't dropped in Quality I have researched this so much it's not funny. It is the 4th Largest Toy Company in the World. The Price's are not even High I see people buying LEGO everywhere and it remains popular. LEGO's prices are normal to what other Toys are like. Mega Bloks is the same. Specialized parts are made in China and the Mexico LEGO is made in the Capital it is Quality thank you very much.
AmazingGalaxy 2 months ago
@BeanMeister22 If you check a lot of LEGO set's don't say Made in China, and even Mexico. Nearly all City Set's, Creator, General Building Set's, Dacta and even Licensed and other Themes don't say Made in China. However the Specialized Pieces are and people don't find the Quality to be inferior at all. So your worrying about nothing.
AmazingGalaxy 2 months ago
@AmazingGalaxy If you don’t know the whole story, I can see how you would think that there is not a problem with the Chinese LEGO sets. So here’s the whole story: I started seeing videos and hearing complaints about certain LEGO pieces breaking; such as minifig hands. Until recently, I NEVER heard of this problem before. So that got me looking around, and I learned that many minifigs are now made in China.
Broken hands, and new minifigs made in China; it’s clear as day.
BeanMeister22 2 months ago
@AmazingGalaxy Bad quality? But they are!
LordDavid04 1 month ago
@LordDavid04 Sadly there is no real competition with LEGO, maybe if there was, LEGO would not have anything made in China. However thankfully it is just a few Specialized Part's in only some set's. The majority of set's are still wonderful Quality. Unlike some companies which have just gave up.
AmazingGalaxy 1 month ago
If Legos are made in china then why are they still damned expensive. I paid 34 bucks for a lego creationary (Like Pictionary but with legos) game with 300 pieces. And why destroy the DV cam at the end, what was wrong with it?
coondogtheman1234 2 months ago
@coondogtheman1234 LEGO is so expensive because in the past they had a near monopoly in the building brick market, and they could charge ANY price they wanted. They use various forms of seductive marketing to kids, which makes them believe that if they can’t afford LEGO, they are not as good as the kids who can. The proof of this, is reading the comments left on this video by brainwashed LEGO kids.
And I have new cameras now, I upgraded my video equipment.
BeanMeister22 2 months ago
@BeanMeister22 Your getting it wrong. Listen, please. All LEGO Pieces are made in Denmark, Hungary, Mexico or the Czech Republic and other European Countries like Austria, UK, Germany, Sweden etc. Specialized Pieces like a very complex Hat. The reason these specialized part's are made in China is because LEGO would loose money if they made it in a Europe Factory and it didn't sell as well. So the Chinese Version is still great Quality too, but it's cheaper.
AmazingGalaxy 2 months ago
I think Lego is made in China but the MAJORITY of the SETS are made in Denmark, Hungary, Czech Republic. Based on my research of my sets reveals:
70% Denmark, Hungary, Czech Republic
20% Austria, Germany, Sweden
2% Mexico
8% China [Mostly the Collectable Minifigures]
BrickTVEntertainment 2 months ago 6
@BrickTVEntertainment Yes, the majority of the parts are still made in Europe, but times are changing. It used to be that ALL of the parts were made in Europe, now it’s just most of the parts. Someday it will be the other way around; most of the parts will be made in China, and only a few will be made in Europe. The main problem with all this is; LEGO still charges top dollar, even though they are now using cheaper parts. If they want to use cheaper parts, then they need to reduce their prices.
BeanMeister22 2 months ago

I have the lego Architecture set "Robie house." It is made in Denmark, Mexico, Hungary, and the Czech Republic.
superlegoman64 2 months ago
@superlegoman64 That’s a cool set, I’m thinking about buying it. The specialty sets such as the Architecture sets, probably have no Chinese pieces in them. You will also notice that both the Falling Water House, and the Robie House sets, are very high priced for their size. I’m a big fan of Frank Lloyd Wright, but I just can’t bring myself to pay $200 plus shipping charges, so I can have a LEGO version of the Robie House.
BeanMeister22 2 months ago
@BeanMeister22 Well the Robie house is over 2000 pieces. It seems like its worth the money to me.
superlegoman64 2 months ago
@superlegoman64 Sets like that have very little appeal to the average kid, so they make fewer of them, and charge a higher price because adults are more likely to buy them. As for the piece count, I rarely consider piece count as a price factor; I think the size and function of the completed set is a better gauge of value. Many sets will have a high piece count simply because they have a lot of tiny pieces. The Tower Bridge has 4287 pcs, and cost $239, compared to Robie's 2276 pcs and $200.
BeanMeister22 2 months ago
@BeanMeister22 That is true. I recommend you get the set if you have the spare money, since you like the works of Frank Lloyd Wright. Its a pretty big set, being around 10 inches wide.

MAT0R0 3 months ago
@MAT0R0 Since LEGO is a privately held company, I believe that it is not subject to the same public reporting requirements as a publically traded corporation. So that might explain that lack of information. Also, in every interview I've read, the LEGO representative steers clear of any questions regarding price or manufacturing cost, and glosses over the answers to the manufacturing questions. LEGO tends to be VERY secretive in many aspects of their company.
BeanMeister22 3 months ago
@BeanMeister22 Did you know that you only chose set's with Specialized Parts. The only part's Made in China from LEGO are the Specialized Part's that are actually not bad quality at all, and people also agree. I don't see a drop in Quality at all. You should be happy LEGO is still made in Denmark, Hungary, Germany, Sweden, Austria, Mexico etc... because most things are only made in China now. And it's still managing to be excellent quality. :)
SentineIPrime 2 months ago
@SentineIPrime I used sets that I own for this video, and if they have specialty parts, maybe that is because most new LEGO sets do have specialty parts.
LEGO is made in many countries, and it is no secret that Chinese plastic is of a lower quality. Is the quality good enough? For the most part, yes. But people who defend the high cost of LEGO, by saying it costs so much because it is not made in China, are wrong, or they are just lying.
BeanMeister22 2 months ago
@BeanMeister22 I just want to be civil with you because I understand where your going with this now :). However you must know that the only part's made in China are some Specialized Pieces, and to be honest there actually good Quality otherwise you, yourself wouldn't have bought it?. LEGO is expensive yes, but everyone still buys it. The reason it's so expensive it because the actual Pieces are Danish Quality and the materials all involved cost a lot too, to make the LEGO.
AmazingGalaxy 2 months ago
@AmazingGalaxy High quality can not be guaranteed in Chinese factories; and there are hundreds of American dogs and cats who are dead because of tainted Chinese protein used in major brand pet foods. China also has a problem with lead in toys and most recently high sulfur levels in sheetrock. Regardless of the quality of the company as a whole, LEGO cannot guarantee quality in its Chinese factories; no company can.
BeanMeister22 2 months ago
@BeanMeister22 Your absolutely right. And it's sad to see many Toy Companies switching to poor Quality Control. LEGO however being the 4th Largest Toy Company and with a net value of $9 Billion is perfectly under control. The Specialized Pieces are made with care because LEGO specifically makes sure that it is to there specifications and standards. Otherwise no one would be buying them. And trust me Hundreds of Millions of people still buy them more than ever before.
AmazingGalaxy 2 months ago
@BeanMeister22 Also what you have to understand is LEGO has the means to produce these Bricks with Quality too and have a small minority of elements made in China under there specifications. The Main Headquarters Factory in Denmark has Made in Germany State of the Art Molding Machines that are precise to 0.0001 mm. They have there own exclusive granules for their plastic sourced from Italy, Netherlands and Germany only for LEGO, and there robotic technology as-well.
AmazingGalaxy 2 months ago
@BeanMeister22 Also your comparing LEGO the 4th Largest and most popular Toy Company to a common country Pet Brand, big difference. I can name so many LEGO set's, even the ones today that don't say China or even Mexico if you want to go that far. But please I don't want to argue anymore, it's a new year a fresh start I just wanted to let you know that none of your facts are right and your completely wrong.
AmazingGalaxy 1 month ago
@AmazingGalaxy Once again you stop by to troll this video, and once again you are without a clue, and without facts; and you dare to question my facts? And yes, my facts are facts, which means they are correct and true, and your statements are just tripe from the mouth of someone who wishes he was part of something bigger, and therefore has taken up the fight to defend the indefensible actions of LEGO. Did you hear that LEGO is coming out with a GI Joe series?
BeanMeister22 1 month ago
@BeanMeister22 I actually can't believe your Human. I have never ever in my life seen someone talk so crazy, you talk like your a conspiracy theorist. AmazingGalaxy 1 month ago

BeanMeister22 4 months ago
@BeanMeister22 I'm sorry but you are wrong!. LEGO is so Popular that is was named Toy of the Century TWICE!, It has 46 of it's own stores!, Video Games! that have sold 100's of Millions of copy's, Quality State of the Art Machines and Plastic Granules made in Germany, Italy and Netherlands. Internet, Art, Books, Movies it's a lot better, and has been around since 1949 (Plastic Bricks), and LEGO has been around since 1890. Enlighten can never beat LEGO and all of its 1000's of themes!
AmazingGalaxy 3 months ago
@AmazingGalaxy Yes, Enlighten will never beat LEGO in quality, but they beat them everyday in price and value. There are many kids around the world, who cannot afford the high prices that LEGO asks, so Enlighten is a low cost alternative. Also, the competition from knock-off companies like Enlighten and BanBao, keeps LEGO striving to make better and more interesting sets.
BeanMeister22 3 months ago
@BeanMeister22 Also what do you mean Mexico. The LEGO Mexico Factory is located in Monterrey Mexico, Mexico's Capital, it's a very Quality Company, nothing of what China makes. Also the Quality Control at the very few pieces made in China is excellent. Notice though that many of the set's had molded pieces that can be made cheaper, but still have the same Quality. All the Bricks and other pieces are still made in Denmark and Hungary, Austria, Sweden etc.
AmazingGalaxy 3 months ago
@AmazingGalaxy
BeanMeister22 3 months ago
@BeanMeister22 Incorrect. My Grandfather has worked at DK-7190 Billund Denmark, and is constantly asked by me, questions about LEGO's status. LEGO Mini-fig's hands are not Made in China, though some Mini-Figs are, you can always tell from a label code, and very few are I will add. Mexico doesn't have lower Quality because it is actually a proper Factory, Denmark, Hungary, Mexico, Czech Republic being the 4, The Minor Chinese LEGO isn't made in a LEGO Factory.
AmazingGalaxy 3 months ago
@AmazingGalaxy If that is true, then why are the LEGO mini fig hands more prone to breaking now, than in the past? If you are not awhare of this issue, it is being reported by several LEGO channels here on YouTube.
BeanMeister22 3 months ago
@BeanMeister22 The Issue I'am well aware off, and a small minority of people were experiencing it. LEGO test's there products in Temperature Control's, were they leave the bricks out in the sun to see breakage and dis-coloration, also breakage test's and strength and durability. The Mini-Figs hands that are breaking are the ones made in China, like the Collectable Mini-Figs, because it would cost to much to make them in Denmark, other than those few, the rest are perfect as usual.
AmazingGalaxy 3 months ago
I honestly like Enlighten. I feel nothing is really wrong with it. I get both brands. Enlighten has military that Lego doesn't have.
muffdriver69 4 months ago
@muffdriver69 I agree, especially since they offer a lot of stuff that LEGO does not. And that also goes for Banbao and Ligao too. I recently ordered the aircraft carrier from Banbao, and I look forward to putting it together. All these bricks are good enough quality to play with, but when compared to LEGO there is a noticeable difference in the plastic that they are made of; it's a slightly lower grade. But LEGO cannot keep charging high prices while they offer a lower quality product.
BeanMeister22 4 months ago
man im disapointed thanks for telling me this i love lego but i hope my legos are good enough quialty i dont want any of my legos to break
eliteswordsman1 4 months ago
@eliteswordsman1
BeanMeister22 4 months ago
@BeanMeister22 I do think those chinas brand of lego looks good, but I read a story online where a mother bought a chinese set thinking it was lego and she gave it to her kids, when she came to check up on them some how the plastic colouring had come off and was all over the childern hands.. etc. so I dont know if chinas all that good. or that the set that lady got was an unknown chinese brand that know ones ever heard off. frankly, its true chinese stuff USED to be low quality.. but who says that they can't make high quality stuff now? that itself is a fallacy
worlddominationful 4 months ago
@worlddominationful Any country is capable of making quality products, including China. But there are a couple of important points you are missing here. The first is that the Chinese made plastic they use, is of a lower quality, and it is different enough that you can see and feel the difference. But probably the most important point, is that LEGO is very expensive, and people defend the high prices by saying that LEGO costs more because it is not made in China, but that is not the case.
BeanMeister22 4 months ago
@BeanMeister22 I suppose you're right, but I probably don't have any lego not from China, because I can't see, feel the difference, however, I do know that there are horrible brick products from China and the quality of those things compared to lego products are still have such a big disparity, which is what I find pretty comforting :)

bobdolel00d7s 5 months ago
@bobdolel00d7s I'm not sure why you are watching, do you care about lower quality Chinese parts that are now included in LEGO sets? If you wonder about who cares, consider this: LEGO makes toys that EVERY kid wants, but they're priced so high that many kids cannot afford them. LEGO has always said that they charge so much because their toys are top quality and NOT made in China, but that is no longer the case...except that they still charge top dollar, for what is no longer top quality items.
BeanMeister22 5 months ago
@BeanMeister22 right i know but still...its just Legos..ya know? for me personally i just feel there might be more important things than this. no offense to you or your video of course. also im pretty sure most large corporations/companies have some sort of corruption going on ya know its all about money to all of them. and i mean like 99% are corrupt <-------- i made that statistic up. so why just pick on LEGO? i dont mean to pick on you maybe i just shouldnt have commented to begin with..
bobdolel00d7s 5 months ago

If so, then what is wrong with buying something like a MegaBloks Halo sets that is almost the same quality as LEGO and costs a lot less, but is also made in China of this exact same plastic?
BeanMeister22 5 months ago
Well i thing the componends you speak about could be:
The Box, or the Plasticbags, or the Building Instructions. And allthough the simpli Bricks made in China and so. But the other Bricks, especialy the special Bricks are made in the EU, Danmark, or Germany. And my opinion is: will we buy more an more not original Legos, the Brickmader in Danmark will be get down. For my parts i allways buy the original Legos. Not an Enlighten, or Megablock, or Sluban, or Ministeck Bricks.
GaldorCiryatan 5 months ago
@GaldorCiryatan There is nothing wrong with buying only LEGO, but when you do that you are limiting yourself, and you may find that you are missing out of some pretty cool sets.
Are you not concerned that the LEGO pieces made in China and Mexico are not made from the same high quality base stocks as LEGO made in Europe?
BeanMeister22 5 months ago
@BeanMeister22
So i will be happy to find older sets at ebay.

LegoSofaStudios 5 months ago
@LegoSofaStudios i think the chinese have a knack at making stuff which does not last and lacks the refinement seen in non chinese made products
if the chines standard of living keeps rising we will soon be saying expensive chinese plastic
leokimvideo 5 months ago
@leokimvideo Enlighten has raised the price of many of their train items from $9.99 up to $12.99. The prices are already starting to rise, but even with a 30% increase, it is still a bargain.
BeanMeister22 5 months ago
@LegoSofaStudios Does it matter to you that the plastic parts made in China are made from lower quality plastic that tends to break more easily?
And you may notice that I also have Enlighten sets and MegaBloks sets that are made in China, and do you know why?
Because buying the lower quality plastic items from China is fine, as long as the price is also lower.

I hear that
Lego bricks are made out of granulated acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), which is unique as a plastic because it is shiny. ABS is used to make a lot of different materials, from hard hats to a wide variety of toys.

if i hear one more US lego fan tell me lego is expensive, well they better hop over Australia and get a taste of real expense
go to lego website, select the US price and then Australia, be amazed at how the figure doubles and then do a currency exchange and be amazed again
THIS REALLY ***** ME and i am certainly not the only Oz lego fan who is fed up with the crap prices we are landed
leokimvideo 5 months ago
@leokimvideo I've starting buying overseas - only bought a couple of sets in Oz. I'm not too fazed by our prices - perhaps it just seems we are getting ripped off because of the current strong dollar... once that goes down, Lego prices wont look like its too much of a rip.
BrickFaceChannel 5 months ago
@BrickFaceChannel big problem is postage costs in buying large sets overseas, you can easily have a $80 shipping fee added to a US price
leokimvideo 5 months ago in playlist Liked
what i'm confused with it seems ker-o is alligning it's priced directly with lego, that is charge me almost double what the American consumers pay
RIP-OFF
leokimvideo 5 months ago
@leokimvideo As long as we keep paying these high prices, they will gladly keep taking our money :)
BeanMeister22 5 months ago
i have lost count of tubers pointing out to me they feel the plastic quality is now not what it used to be, and heaps of tubers argue this is not a chinese made toy
i pay almost double the USA price for my lego, as far as i am concerned lego's little game is up, my dollar is now stronger then the USD so it stinks this company is ripping us off
it's been going on for years now

this cheap plastic is going to KILL lego, my minifig hands now break

United Kingdom?...we make stuff?
ZONDIE99 5 months ago
@ZONDIE99 I was surprised about that too, and yes it's pretty cool that some LEGO comes from the UK. I don't think any comes from the US...
BeanMeister22 5 months ago
@BeanMeister22 well the US being a far bigger country im shore they soon will make lego bricks!
ZONDIE99 5 months ago
Yes, unfortunately they move a lot of production to China. 2 years ago I never saw "China" on the boxes. Now they're everywhere.
BillsCreationsFan 5 months ago
@BillsCreationsFan That's what I thought, because I don't remember seeing China on any of the older sets. And really in the big scheme of things, it's ok if they make some stuff in China because even with all the extra shipping costs, it is still a lot cheaper to make them over there. But they really should be passing on some of that savings to the customers especially when we can tell the difference in the plastic just by how it feels in our hands.
BeanMeister22 5 months ago
Interesting video - i am very surprised people think it is NOT made in China - everything is! Anyway - is it really put in the order of how much each country has contributed to the set? (its like the ingredients label on packaged food - whatever is used the most gets labeled first...) Just because it is made in China - doesn't mean it should cost less - there are other things to consider for the price of Lego (not just manufacturing) but the design of the Lego sets, licensing costs etc
BrickFaceChannel 5 months ago
@BrickFaceChannel Yes, there are other things to consider, such as why MegaBloks sets cost about 1/3 that of a comparable LEGO set? And how can Enlighten make near LEGO quality sets, and sell them for 1/5 the price of LEGO?
People are always telling me that LEGO makes nothing in China; they don't have a clue. And really, I can live with the lower grade plastic that comes from both China and Mexico, especially if they are priced right, and I buy a lot of Enlighten trains from Hong Kong.
BeanMeister22 5 months ago
Some minifigs are indeed made in china, like the collectable ones, magnets, and sometimes those give away thingys. Also most special molds for figs (like the heads from star wars) are made over there.
jamesisgek 5 months ago
@jamesisgek I did not know that about the minifigs. That helps to explain why there are more reports of broken minifig hands. 10 years ago, I never heard of ANY LEGO piece breaking under normal playing conditions.
BeanMeister22 5 months ago
you're right but there's one thing, 2/3 of all bricks are made in denmark and I think it isn't that bad because LEGO bricks are still made with the same machines even in all the other countries. the bricks aren't less strong!
greetz Jesse
JesseStoffels 5 months ago
@JesseStoffels Yes, the brick machines are the same, but in a couple of countries they don't use they same type of plastic that LEGO uses in Denmark. And these same brick machines in China also make MegaBloks bricks and Enlighten bricks, and so on; same machines, but different plastic.
It's fine that bricks are made in China, but you might be surprised to see how many people say that no LEGO is ever made in China.
BeanMeister22 5 months ago
Comments seem to be vanishing from this comment section; some are mine, and some are from other people. So if your comment is gone, it was not me who deleted it.
BeanMeister22 5 months ago
At least LEGO is giving all these countries some work.
LNER4771 5 months ago
@LNER4771 Yes they are spreading it around. But when they started having parts made in China and Mexico, and they used they lower quality plastic that comes from those two countries, rather than insist that those countries use the normal high quality plastic that LEGO always came in, then we are being played. We see the same higher prices that LEGO always had, but there's now a reduction in the quality of the parts we are getting. 5 years ago no one ever heard of a LEGO mini hand breaking.
BeanMeister22 5 months ago
i dont see how it makes a difference where it is made, it makes no sense arguing about where parts are made because they have been from the same places for a while, its lego that is making all of the "bad" decisions with all of the breaking parts, and come to think of it, i dont remember ever buying a lego set with breaking parts in the last ten years, let alone the little minifigure hands. overall whatever decreasing quality that is seen is mostly Lego's fault.

@BeanMeister22 or maybe they honestly don't like it
goluigi2196 5 months ago
@goluigi2196 The only thing they could really not like about this is the message. In the YT LEGO world, LEGO fans are very protective of the LEGO company, I often get comments from people telling me the gave my video a thumbs down because they saw MegaBloks Halo in the background, or worse yet they saw one of my Enlighten trains on my LEGO railroad.
As you can see, this video is not doctored, it just shows the truth, and this truth goes against the belief that LEGO makes nothing in China.

@BeanMeister22 maybe they don't like the style of this video :/

lego718416 5 months ago
No one really understands this whole argument. The only parts that LEGO makes in China are the Minifigures, small parts, and rubber parts. It is on the LEGO website.
LegoLee329 5 months ago
@LegoLee329 That is not completely correct. There is usually a different look and feel to the lower grade plastic parts. And yes, some mini fig parts are most certainly being made of Chinese plastic, and that explains why the hands break more often now, than they did before. Do you have any LEGO trains? The plastic base pieces that is the platform for each car and engine now has a different feel to it, and I would bet that it is also made from Chinese or Mexican plastic.

Legoman993 5 months ago 3
@Legoman993 It does not have to be a bad thing that some LEGO parts come from China, I buy both MegaBloks Halo sets and Enlighten sets that all come from China. I guess we now want to know why LEGO still charges so much money for a product they say does not come from China?
BeanMeister22 5 months ago

@BeanMeister22 You must be filthy rich!
Legolord121 5 months ago
@Legolord121 There is a way to buy that many Lego sets without going broke - usually its called a full time job. Or buy in bulk and sell the rest at a higher price and keep the profits to buy more lego sets. :D ...
BrickFaceChannel 5 months ago
@BrickFaceChannel
BeanMeister22 5 months ago
@BrickFaceChannel sorry i wouldnt know about a full time job because im only 13!
Legolord121 5 months ago
Im Chinese and Im proud of it! So stop complaining about "cheap CHINESE plastic", you should just say "cheap quality plastic" because you're just discriminating the Chinese.
BlockBusterStudios1 5 months ago
@BlockBusterStudios1
BeanMeister22 5 months ago
@BeanMeister22 i know, im not directing that comment to u, just to other people cuz ive seen reviews where the reviewer is ACTUALLY blaming the chinese, ill send u the video if i can find it :)
BlockBusterStudios1 5 months ago
@BlockBusterStudios1 You and I both know, that if someone blames ANY single country or race for something that only a small group of people do, then that person is a moron, and we need to ignore him. And as I said before, I don't even really blame the Chinese plastic manufacturing industry, I blame LEGO for using the lower quality plastic, and still charging us the same price.
BeanMeister22 5 months ago
@BlockBusterStudios1 It's not discrimination againest the Chinese. If you disagree with me, tell how stating a fact that Chinese Lego plastic is lower quality is discrimination.
