Germany is crazy, if you want to work with a chainsaw you need official license like driving license. This guy has to do everything like it is required by the law, cutting it to a round shape and so on, Otherwise his buyers wont buy the wood. I´m sure he could have done it faster if he wanted to do so. (That´s for the speed obsessed americans commenting here)

@o56kid yes, well I fell timber on the coast of BC, Vancouver Island, and the Queen Charlotte Islands for over 20 years.. I fell clear cut, selective, right of way, corridor, and single stem for heli-logging.. as far as my experience goes it's the lay of the ground not the size of the wood that separates the men from the boys and our certification system reflects this..

Danke, endlich einer der was davon versteht...

Spaltaxt war vorhanden, aber als Stativ für die Digi im gebrauch.Das Durchtrennen des Haltebandes mach ich vom Vorhänger selbst abhängig. Bin der Meinung, wenn der Zug nicht ausreicht hab ich nochmal extra Platz für nen Keil. Vorallem bei schwächerem Holz.Bei stärkeren Vorhängern Durchtrenn ich auch schräg von oben.

Super Fällung, endlich mal einer der zuerst das Falkerbdach und dann den Boden sägt!!!!!

Bruchleiste ist auch paralell und sauber rausgearbeitet worden!!!!! Stammfuß schön beigeschnitten!!! Und die Kette ist auf jeden Fall scharf!! Kleiner Tipp noch von mir Wenn du das Halteband schräg von oben durchtrennst geht der zug besser weg (reißt net so blitzartig), und den Keil vll. das nächste mal mit der Axt einschlagen. Aber ansonsten sehr Gute Arbeit

The extra cuts we must do, the log must have an round form at the lower end (in germany we have many diffrent rules about wood).
