@kittieflower With Michael dead ... someone every now and then will lend his or her voice to reminds us of those songs. I think that Michael wanted that ... he could never be imortal but his music is and no matter who sings it ... and that's the best feeling we can get when we hear these tributes. We should be blessed for his music...

They were good but I don't think they were really embracing the meaning and lyrics of the song.. Delta was dancing around and smiling when it is a song about how mankind has destroyed the Earth and action must be done.

@italssian I think that they were embracing it quite lightly because it was a tribute to MJ not a political movement at the time. It does seem out of place but I feel they were trying to give a great send off to MJ and enjoy being privileged enough to sing his song.

Just my opinion :)

Delta & Guy weren't trying to sing it like Michael Jackson- no one will ever be able to do that!

They were invited by the Jackson estate to sing 'The Earth' song 4 the Aussie Launch of Michael's DVD "This is It".

This song is a very difficult song to sing - so getting 2 of Australia's most talented singers to honour MJ in this way - was a given.

Guy and Delta did a fab job - and I got goose bumps listening to their version of this beautiful song. MJ was such a wonderful songwriter.

I have yet to hear a male artist do any MJ song proper justice. MJ hit the higher registers with "full body" in the voice - and that is just ONE of the requirements!

@yug62 I watched that and his live medley of Can You Feel It, Rock With You, Human Nature, etc. I will admit that he can sing and has soul. It is just so hard for anyone to do MJ's songs because his singing was so stylized and when MJ hit the high notes, he was not using his falsetto (except for a few notable songs) but rather his natural voice. Guy is good though, no doubt.

@scarlettbbb thanks for your reply....I think in all honesty Guy and Delta didnt try to sound just like MJ but rather put their heart and soul and passion into it and I think the fact that the Jackson Estate handpicked them both is incredibly humbling for them :-)

@yug62 You have a good point. It is just incredibly difficult for me to hear male artists doing MJ songs - I miss MJ a lot still. But Guy and Delta are wonderful vocalists and it is an honour for MJ fans to have talented people paying tribute to him. I appreciate the passion Guy put into this performance as well as the medley one. Didn't mean to so negative -again, it's been incredibly hard getting used to the idea that he's gone...
