You can tell he knew exactly what he was doing. It probably wasn't the first time he did it either but then again that being said the judo guy should've been able to defend his back a little better to.
You guys are idiots, as soon as the ref says go, its means GO, he touched gloves and tied up before taking the shot, if the Judo had the position for a takedown you guys think he wouldnt take it?
Seems to me like so many BJJ practitioners have attitude problems or like they have something to prove. If they win they disgrace themselves and their opponent by acting like it was the greatest victory ever. I am starting Judo but right now it is only running three days a week so i figured i'd do BJJ the other days to suppliment until i went on their website and all they do is continue to explain how BJJ is the best Jujitsu in the world. I'll prob go anyway as it will help compliment my Judo
Yeah it was quick but the ref had started the fight, then they did touch gloves, then came a take down. Once the ref starts the fight you have to be ready. But it should also be noted that a take down does promise a win. You should be able to defend yourself on the ground in case you do get taken down.
i would say both of them were pisswater weak grapplers, the judoka had fuck all posture in guard and the brazilian idiot still could do nothing, and then celebated like he won the olympics
Sorry but u have 2 b alert. BTW why r so many Bjj guys scared when against a judoka or free style wrestler, they resort 2 pulling gaurd, or scooting on their a$s
BS i hate when things like this happen. if it hadn't been for that unseen takedown, the fight could very well have gone the other way (maybe not, but we will never know).
Hasan showed class by complaining to the ref and applauding his opponent. It's the refs job to be professional i.e. not casual about starting the match. His casualness wore off on Hasan. That said Hasan should have had his head in the game.
I agree with khalsasikh. I have been subbed by BJJ players also. Then again, I've subbed many of them myself. But, I have never been thrown or even taken down by a BJJ player of any rank. I've played 4 BJJ blackbelts and many lower ranking BJJ player. I can throw them around with ease. Even the BJJ blackbelts are no match for a Judo player. Having said that, I really like BJJ and have been practicing it for a few months now. I must admit, my ground game has improved 10 fold.
why did he cheated??...they slapped hands, the ref started it? I don`t get your point...It was Musa`s foult for not being focused enough! dude won fair and square!
I will also say in fairness that I have also been submitted by BJJ blackbelts a handful of times as well. I take Ne Waza very seriously. Injuries kept me from Olympic Judo......this forced me to concentrate on Ne Waza. I can give any BJJ person a run for his money even if I don't win.
This Judo player is not really well versed in Ne Waza.....or at least he has not been practicing effectively. Ne Waza is my strength in Judo, and I have submitted a handfull of BJJ black belts, one of which is a well known Brazilian, whose name I will not mention.
it looked to me like the judo guy was caught completly off guard but i did hear their hands smack. I blame the judo guy for not being prepared. Im a bjj guy but i have a fealing the judo guy would have won this one had he not been surprised by getting a takedowna nd simpyl controlling from the ground

The bjj guy did nothing wrong. The ref started the round, then he 'touched gloves' then took the shot. Judoka was not prepared, simple as that

the shit shitsu playre took a cheap shot. Wouldnt of won with out it. I trained under Musa and hes an extremly talented judoka.

Pulling guard like that is so weak...grappler's of that kind can only win in competition, hardly applicable in a street fight situation.
Luiz only won so definitively because the rules of the competition, but then honors the competition with subterfuge and slyness.

very dirty for a win but then again the judo guy needs to have better sprawls and a better guard.

I wouldn't be happy about winning that way. Then the Brazilian did some monkey like dance in total disrespect. That's not a winner to me.

Even after they slap hands, i dont think hasan had realized the ref told them to start.
But I could see why hasan protested.

I compete,so I can tell you that I don`t see any faul play here

It would not matter in this case.
The guy who "won" did not rely on his phyical skills, but on his cheating skills.
Fake victory, and in this case it looks even funnier because the cheater looked all excited as if he won this fight fair and square.

The video should be renamed "Cheat your way to a 'Win'.
Like someone said, I too have offered my way of seeing it.
LenderSender 3 years ago
In my eyes, it is obvious that After the final restart the BJJ guy cheated by offering to "touch gloves" THEN IMMEDIATELY went for a takedown.
Sly tactic.
LenderSender 3 years ago 3
It could be argued that they did actually "touch gloves" and that the Judo guy wasnt being as alert as he should have by looking right and left.
Its not like he should have been warned about the single leg.
You always want to surprise the opponent in take downs and submissions.
You cant just "touch gloves" and look right and left like you're not in the middle of a fight.
Im not saying right or wrong. Just offering a different way of seeing it.
bjjarabic 3 years ago
Actually, the BJJ guy could not have taken the other guy down if he had not offered to "touch gloves"
You are right. The BJJ guy surprised him by cheating. It is obvious, and you showed it for the world to see it by uploading it.

@bjjarabic I agree with you 100% this guy shouldnt have slapped hands if he wasnt ready ya know?
