She used to be an excellent singer(now she has no more voice)but for some reason never transcended that much in Argentina.She became quite famous in the '70's but then tango became unfashionable.However,she gained a reputation abroad(in Europe, I think, she was baptised "Argentina's Piaf", just like they did with Nacha Guevara in the U.S.A.)One of her most memorable shows (which was restaged in 2010)was "Tres mujeres para el show",accompanied by Amelita Baltar(Piazzola's widow)and Susana Rinaldi
so, Who is this Argentinian singer Mariketa Monti? I've looked her up a few years ago because I thought her voice range was good and wanted to hear more songs by her but never found anything on her.. maybe she is not a big star in Argentina? her tango song sounds nice..
