There is one thing I still dont get.

There is a scene with a wall of light erupting from the water-reservoir with a obviously scratched and hurt person(only shows its hand though)dragging itself out of the hole.

At the beginning I thought that was supposed to be the male main-char from the first episode who somehow survived but it seems that wasnt the case.

the main guy doesnt come til the first chapter of the manga his name is kensuke. He isnt in Ga-rei zero til the very last episode (12) which ends with stuff on the first page of the manga. Ga-rei zero is just a prequel to the events in the manga

this is the anime prequel to the manga of ga-rei... it's a story about Yomi being some evil spirit.. in the manga, it started when Kagura was searching for Yomi (now a real monster)... that's it I guess
