Those guys spent hours or even days to draw something that you view for 2 seconds and then move on... so better show some respect for their work.

Even if you dislike some of Google's services or practices, those people just draw logos. No more , no less. As a software engineer, I'm glad there are people that can give my creations the looks and feels they deserve.

My recall of the Bush focus may be a little cynical.. but my 'attitude' isn't that all corporate advertising aimed at children is necessarily a bad thing. It's simply that if you want to know what any group (be it political or whatever) is planning for down the track - looking at the level and type of involvement with education and kids is a good hint. Google don't run a competition because their own art team is lacking!

Anywayz, I love creating stuff on a computer but don't really draw on actual paper that much.. Animating is easier on a computer, you know.

But I also like to combine real-world photos/videos with my illustrations, so I'll pretty much need a computer..

@MreGSX This isn't a "do the job the day before" kind of thing. I assume they plan well in advance for the stuff they want to have a doodle for, then work on them for quite a while. Planning, sketching, then drawing takes a while.
