Citroën D-Special Snowy Start

It looks really nice. I'm buying one in silver & black roof next week then driving it to the French alpes. One of the more interesting cars that has been made. Let's see more classics & vintage on the road - the sight of today's cars bores me to death

Is it Palladium Grey with a red roof? I like the colour scheme.

@grandcarriage1 Body is silver with a burgundy roof. Former owner had it painted in non-Citroën colors, but I like it. Sometimes the cars don't look right when painted with other than Citroën colors.

Thanks for posting. It's one of the most beautiful cars ever made in my opinion. My understanding is that the suspension is incredible. I never had the pleasure of riding in one.

@geltonassportbatis What were you expecting? Epic cinematography? Gone With the Wind? lol It's a home video and if you watched the whole thing and feel you wasted your time, then that's your fault. Wasted a bit more time making sure I knew what a top notch critic you are, too. lol

Why did you not put the suspension on its highest setting to get out of that snow?

@canwadma I did, eventually. It was wet, heavy snow though, and not good for gripping.

I would not use my ds21 1971 in the snow and not even in the rain,these babies rust like crazy but they are unique and fantastics.

@catalinaumbert Agreed, and I wouldn't take it out on the roads in this weather because they're treated with salt. My first DS, in 1970, rusted out because of this. We didn't know better. This one is treated with rust preventative inside the frame structure.

@MrVielanda It is amazing to have this car here. I can't go anywhere without having people stop me to ask about it. Have met many nice people because of it (here too). Citroëns are much more appreciated now than when they were originally sold here.
